⚡ HI HAT pattern of the day, left hand ACCENTS! Beginner Drum Lesson

▶️ Next time you're on your kit, give this HI HAT pattern a go! The funkiness (is that a word?) in this groove comes from moving your left hand up to the hi hats for a pair of accents. If you're having trouble with the coordination for this groove, go back to the practice pad and practice sticking patterns where your LEFT HAND is playing accents.
▶️ As always, when you are learning something new, remember to keep the TEMPO down until you are comfortable at the speed you are at. COUNT ALOUD before and during playing and keep notation in front of you to make sure what you're playing is correct. I hope you got something out of this drum lesson!
