Connecting the yellow wire to ignition will erase the memory every time you turn car off and on. I suppose only the ignition wire should be used in that connection. That way yellow keep the memory in place while the red ignition turns the radio off and on when key is turned.
It’s probably a wrong wire connection. If the red yellow and black wires are connected wrongly, that would put pressure on the entire car electric system and possibly shut or burn out circuit and that then becomes expensive fix for you

It's simple all the accessories in the car that are turned ( on and off ) by the ignition such as ignition 1,2 or 3 if your vehicle has it in your fuse box some cars have it in the interior fuse box or under hood fuse box or if not the fuse marked (HVAC) also check to see if you have a fuse marked (rap) meaning (retained accessory power)in your fuse box these are the common fuses to tap the radio ignition red wire to in the fuse box and here's one more gem of wisdom use a line fuse tap called add a fuse purchase a pack of them good to have for radio installs
@@lawrencegriffin709 I connected everything correctly but mine doesn’t turn , I tried connecting it directly to the battery but it still didn’t turn on ? It might be the stereo right
@@ngldany5161if both red and yellow wires are connected to the positive terminal and your black wire is earthed properly on the body if it still isn't turning on check you radios fuse at the back and if its still not working then throw it away and buy a new one 😂😅
For mine i did yellow to yellow, black to black , and red to red on harness, then tapped into red with my cigarette lighter because mine is only on with the key in.
Damn bro I would have never thought about doing something like this but I tell you what I'm going to try it tomorrow thanks for the tip great video

Have you tried this?
Mine was done that way and it went out and few months later my truck wouldn't start. What do you think caused it?

This is why China is #1 in English
Did this in my PT Cruiser it worked great except when the button to my windows was off my stereo was too.
Loolll. Duhhh
So which ones you connect to let it turn on in acc mode?
🤣🤣🤣so you can listen to the radio only when the window is down
Thanks man for the explanation!!
You don't have to do all that 😂 just run the radio ignition (red) wire to a ignition controlled accessory in the fuse box
Explain

You got trouble with memory?
So you went the cheap way instead of buying then premade wire harness
WTF, state of that!
Thanks for the video
Will that will erase the radio memory every time you turn the engine off
No
THANK YOU!!!!!
LOL. How stolen is that head unit? Totally ripped out of something
Not necessarily. I cut my factory wires when installing my aftermarket radio. It was spliced too!
... head units are like 50 buck no one is stealing a damn headunit
I hope this car caught on fire from the poor cable management
Not suppose to connect yellow and red wire
Ok
No memory
No need for all that
