If you dont have steering wheel volume. Please make sure to plug in the weird wire that comes on harness to the bypass wire they send with your radio. Trust me i thought it was extra threw it away radio didnt shut off and it was because of the plug in wire. Looks like a headphone jack.
Exact problem wit my headunit. It has power, but whenever I turn the car off, the unit doesn’t turn off. And it causes my battery to drain to the point I gotta jumpstart it, Imma check the wiring and redo it. Hopefully I put it back together so it works normally instead of having to manually turn it on all the time. This is also why I prefer cars that have this type of technology “pre-installed” it’s a hassle to get everything to work right, especially with these Chinese aftermarket units. Sometimes the damn thing will cutoff!!! 😂
I cut a totally blue colored wire in the wiring harness for the stereo. (The name of wire is Power antenna) Isolated the wires(so it doesnt cause problems) and now it works. The stereo turns off when I take my phone out of the USB, and it starts when I start my car.
It was just a stereo harness kit from Autozone, I think the the name was Metra stereo installation kit, but have different variations based on your cars year, make and model. Note: not all vehicles kits are available with that brand tho.
For each vehicle I’m sure it’s different and comes with instructions but for me 1 have driver door open 2 turn ignition switch w 3 tap the volume up on steering controls 4 the led light would flash red, green/red, green, red/green, then stays on green 5 once it’s done, cycle the ignition off then on.
Miguel, don’t take this personally. You need to shoot in landscape and not portrait. We don’t want to be looking up your nostrils. you need to rehearse you need to edit your videos. Video is pretty lousy. Camera work too. Not to mention, anyone doing this to their car will immediately void the warranty. And yes, most cars come with this setting. Now I forget where it’s buried and thought this was the answer. Seems like a lot of work for very little return. Good luck, Miguel. Practice practice practice.

Open the door and cycle the ignition on, and tap the up volume button.
It should cycle red and green 5 times
