  • My experience and opinion after trying different brands of surfskate wheels.
    Yow , Carver , Smoothstar , Slide , Orangatan & Powell Peralta.
    My recommendation:
    - If you use your surfskate in all type of surfaces ( roads, street, skateparksks & bowls), the Slide wheels 78 A work very well.
    - If you use your surfskate in skateparks & bowls, the wheels Powell Peralta Dragons 64 mm Formula 93A, will make your life easier. These wheels are very fast, have a enough grip and you will need much less effort for pumping and carving.
Orangatan Stimulus 83 A or 86 A work well in bolws.
Wheels that I found slow: Yow 78 A, Smoothstar 78 A, Carver concave & Carver 58 mm park.
After all these testes my conclusion is that there is a lot of marketing with surfskates and for that reason it is good to have an open mind to another alternatives.
    Surfskate used in the video:
    Deck: Soulboardiy 34¨
    Trucks: Slide
Wheels: Powell Peralta Dragons formula 64mm 93A

Thank You! Great video content and format. I just finished first session on the Yow Pukas surfskate with the 64 Dragons and bones reds changed out from the stock wheels. This is exactly the speed and flow and slide I was hoping for inspired by your video. Mostly park/bowl and driveway/garage for me. Love this setup now.

So after 7 months of surfskating the 64 Dragons, I can say for sure that they are fast and grippy. I have many wheels, maybe too many but it's nice to have one wheel that I can go to for speed and grip. Very good wheel.

thanks for your video and it convinced me to get those dragons 64mm 93a wheels on CX trucks to replace the standard carver wheels. I plan to use them at the skate park for bowls.

Take note that for bowls the dragons are very good and fast, but the surface of the bowl must be uniform. If the surface of the bowl is damaged, the wheels are a bit unconfortable.

If you are thinking of using the powell peralta dragons, please take it easy the first day until you get used to them. They are really fast.

Just a small message to say thanks. I got my powel peralta 64 93a today and my bowl experience was great. I could have so much speed and climb de bowl walls so high. I still have to control de slide I ramps. Comparing to my other weeks those slide a lot... but it's great. Many many thanks

I just felt I should share my experiences. I got very disapointed with the tipical marketing brands and I see so many people buying them when there are much better things in the market...

Nice and to the point video and great work at the park. Curious if good elsewhere? I just started to surf skate last week-only to get better at foot balance-body awareness for downhill sliding. Just got Coleman slide last week with a lot more time ahead. Going to try 78A 70 mm Blood orange drift series with Bones Ceramics today.

The dragón wheels of the video are just good for skateparks with good surfaces. Outside the skatepark slide too much. I Guess that the blood Orange 78A, 70mm wheels should be similar to the Slide wheels of the video. Orange has good wheels

I use the Bones Mini Cubic 64mm 95A on my surfskate for skateparks. They are faster than the 64mm Dragons in 93A.

I'm thinking of getting some 64 Cubics. So is it a bigger wheel compared to the 64 dragons? They appear wider. I'm very satisfied with my dragons currently but I'm willing to give the Cubics a try.

dragon 64mm for pumping in flatground is okay? or too slippery?

    • @mambodambo8969
      @mambodambo8969  ปีที่แล้ว +1

The dragón works well where the surface of the ground is very uniform. For example, on a road or street, I would use another wheels as the the Slide ones. It is note a question of a flatground or a bowl, It is about the conditions of the ground surface. If I go to skatepark where the surface It is not well, I prefer to use the Slide wheels.
I have seen a vídeo in TH-cam riding every where with the dragons, but I feel them slippery and a bit unconfortable on roads.

@@andalingtanjung8835 The wheels are faster with a biger diameter. Surrfskates usually have biger wheels than a normal skate, because they can not so hard wheels. The dragons have a fórmula that are hard but less slippery than usual skate wheels.
