@@kejiri3593i first knew it from Blizzard’s Blackthorne (1994). In Blackthorne not only you can stick to the “walls” (more like a font than a wall, because it is a 2d game), but also can roll 😮. So, it is basically “cover shooter with rolls” before it became mainstream with GeoW 😅.
I got this game back then. Even then i couldn't love the game. But it was quite ok. Never finished it but i will always remember the cool guy with sunglasses. :D
That band is freaking HORRIBLE. If you only hear the beginning of the song it sounds like it could be one of those awesome 80's power ballads. But it's not...listen to the song by itself without the game. The singer can't carry a tune to save his life, the drums don't match the music at all, and the song in general is just awful.
@@1Top_Dawg Ohh the 90s.... the last of the cliché decades.. - the 60s was hippies - 70s was disco - the 80s were new age - 90s was crappy grunge/garage music and baggy pants and roller blades... Everything after is like, I dunno... social media? The decades now have less their own distinct personality. It's just America in decline.
Loll the console is trash itself , this and the Amiga 32 console and nearly 95% of the games are trash 😅 But back then these games seeing all that 3d goodness hit different
If you only hear snippets of the music from the game it sounds ok. No up there with Poison or any of those bands, but it sounds like it could be a decent 80's power ballad. But it's not. The game sound is overriding most of the music. Listen to the song by itself. The band is AWFUL. The singer can't carry a tune if his life depended on it. The drums just sound random and don't match the music. The guitarist sounds like he's having a seizure half the time. AVGN was being kind when he said "Sounds like they hired the band that got last place in the Battle of the Bands at the East Bumblefuck Community Center."
This is most 3DO’ish as you could expect. If you close your eyes and think about 3DO, you would definitely see something like this digitized dude 😁.
"If you find a copy of Virtuoso somewhere, throw it in the old Trashuoso" - AVGN (2021)
This guy is cool in a so 90s way. Really interesting how you can stick to the walls, it wasn't common at that time. Really cool game.
I first knew this when i played MGS2 in 2000s. But was this first game to do this?

This looks like the Bubsy 3D of third person shooters
All games on this console were very strange. my favorite was escape from monster manor and need for speed

Nothing says badass like shooting Frosty the Snowman in the face.
Fun fact: this games engine was modified into Hybrid for the playstation
This looks surprisingly good.
Looks kinda good.
Elite originally hoped to sign a deal with Pop Will Eat Itself and digitise the lead singer for main character but the deal fell through.
Its funny to think at the time this was the caviar of video games. It was only attainable by upper class citizens, ironically..
"Duuuuude, did you get the new Thai Dyed CD? It rocks! Lets go roller-blading!"
I almost wish they had released a CD, this music is so ridiculous it becomes kind of incredible
