As always very helpful, thank you. Did you work out why you couldn't hear the VOR morse? Also, when you said at 5m50s 'you can see it right here' were you looking at SkyVector or is the morse displayed somewhere on the PFD or MFD (I couldn't find it!). Cheers.

Is there a reason you're not using the NXi G1000?
I believe that as this video is targeted on relative newbies he chooses to use vanilla radio that 90% of them will be using.
I would send the radio for service if you don't hear a clear morse code identifier. It should be able to demodulate to clear audio.
