Here in Europe, we use the term Roadster a lot. A Roadster is not a trail bike and it's not a cruiser, but it also isn't a super sport bike although the category the Roadster is closest to is the super sport because although it is fully naked, the type of engine is much closer to a super sport than any other style, so it's a naked bike with some super sport capabilities like the CB1000R or the MT10 or the Z900 etc...
My friend has the street version and sounds really awesome with an aftermarket exhaust. Bike sounds like an inline 4 and dashes really quick against my ninja 400. Its a cheap 500cc bike and has good fuel consumption. Chinese bikes are really improving specially with CFmoto having cheap bikes that has a lot to offer. Not to mention the 800MT and the upcoming 450SR. I would not be surprised to see it overtake the big 4 in 5 years.
My CFMoto 650GT needed the cylinder head replaced at 5,500kms. It has 7,200kms on it now and the clutch bearing and clutch both need replacing. The ECU also needed reflashing which according to the mechanic is "a common problem", you will never see the claimed fuel range on CFMoto bikes. Remember, the Chinese manufacturers constantly lie about product quality.
@@midhungopan9270 Kawasaki sold them the engine tooling for the ER6N. But the quality control and materials they use are nowhere near their JDM counterpart. The gaskets on the flange for example are asbestos with fiberglass, the manifold gaskets are poorly compressed graphite, the valves are made of softer metal (my cylinder head assembly needed replacing at 5,500kms), bearings are lower quality. They've partnered with KTM as well and they're making all the bigger KTM bikes for worldwide distribution, but I really have my doubts about quality issues having experienced what I have with my own bike. The sprockets needed replacing after 3,500kms. I sorced some AFAM sprockets to use instead of the original poor quality parts. I could go on, but there's no point. You get what you pay for and Japanese bikes where I live are three times the price they are anywhere else. BMW, Harley and Ducati as well are all vastly overpriced.
Not sure the matte black background is the best choice for this venture. Makes it really difficult to see the profile of the bike and all the features. I think draped white sheets would hit nicely especially throwing in some colored accent leds where appropriate. Far more lighting as well. Since I’m going to step out and critique you guys just wanted to say I’m a huge fan so this is all so the viewers will be more likely to thumbs up. 👍. I think we really appreciate seeing side by sides with other bikes whether similar or different. It’s something that we as viewers get a lot out of and something you could much easier provide for us than for us to find ourselves. Anytime a video shows different height riders on a bike is a huge plus as well. Those are the things we are most looking to see. How does it look, how would it fit me, how is it compared to this other bike. Throw in HP/Torgues/price and you got yourself a video that becomes a video dictionary entry and becomes the go to. Love you guys. You ever want to give away a free bike to a noob MSF grad with a permit holler at me!
Hey, my first bike! Had my license for a long time, but got my first bike in China. They don’t sell the green I got over there unfortunately. Loved that color. Parts were dirt cheap with the factory in the same province I was in.
I’m in China, currently riding a Suzuki GW250 ‘19 (fantastic bike) and I’m looking to upgrade. Benelli, Voge, Kove, Honda - all possibilities. How was your Benelli? There are some killer used deals but I’m interested in long term reliability.
I think it's a pretty awesome looking bike sounds pretty throaty for the size engine it has and had allot of really great features and the price is spot on
My Benelli TNT15 is manufactured in 2020 and still has a carburettor. That alone isn't bad, but the engine chuggs at low rpm and makes this worrying "angle grinder noise" between 6000rpm and 7000rpm. The engine also has a problem revving up when I don't engage the choke. I know it's a cheap thumper bike, but c'mon I bought it brand new, cash, and the dealer won't even offer me a replacement unit, it's hasn't even got 3000km on the odometer yet. So... No, Benelli's build quality and after sales support is not up to par with the big 4, at least that's my experience.
Hey, try to adjust the carburetor a little more richer in gasoline and the idle in 2k rpm, it will consume a little more gasoline but it will respond better. All carburatore motorcile are like this, you have to find the perfect configuration between air and gasoline.
Same stuff happening here in Asia, where recently, chinese bikes have become more and more popular due to their affordability. Ya get what you pay for, basically. And the after-sales support is a bit questionable.
@@Shogunhm I had a honda carburetted single cylinder from 2010, never had a problem with fueling or combustion timing, I twist the throttle and it goes. Benelli can't make an efficient engine so they ship their bikes with overly lean fuel mixture to pass regulations, I've messed with the carburettor and the last thing I've yet to try is changing out the fuel jets for an aftermarket set. But I doubt it will fix the grinding noise, it's almost definitely engine damage.
Im still a noobie from the outside looking in. Im still thinking about what kind of bike i want my first to be. Ive been leaning towards adventure bikes and dual sports....but man o man this thing is sexy. Putting it on my list for sure
Even Harley & MV Agusta are using QJ(Benelli’s parent company) bike platform as their own model so you know this ‘Chinese’ brand you hate doesn’t mess around. If their bikes can survive the rough south East Asia road conditions, they can probably do well in Murica that’s for sure
I've been working on an old mates Harley Davidson "Genuine Harley-Davidson® Motor Parts 17369-06 GASKET SERVICE KIT, 1K, 5K, 10K Assembled in the USA with parts from China" So the parts are made in China but packaged (put in a plastic bag) in the USA I must admit the oil filter is made in the USA
My dad has been riding motorcycles for 40+ years and got this bike recently. He loves it after dealing with Harley Davidsons and their issues for years. He let me ride it and it felt very nice! Although I’m 6’5 and it was a bit cramped for me.
I have a Benelli TNT125, I have change out the original brake pads on that bike for some EBC's and the difference is amazing. So I would say it's a pad problem , just fit the ones you like to use and I'm sure that would improve.

Yes, I own a second one, and it’s criminally underrated. Best value for money out there. Highly recommended! And as for the front brake, it has to be your particular bike. Mine both work[ed] really good and required no effort whatsoever. Unless they changed the brakes for the U.S. market, which is doubtful.
Great review - Though not sure what the issues with the Front Brakes on your demo is about? I bought this bike new in 2021 - Awesome bike for the price! I first test rode the Desert sled and other Scramblers, very Similar feel - less power of course, but a third of the price for not much difference in performance. Love it so far. 4000km In. Ride it daily as a commute, weekends through the mountain roads / Twisties and regularly on unsealed light off-Road trails. Off gutters daily , riding two up with my 6 foot wife. The adjustable rear shock easy to use and makes big difference with 2up. Its been perfect so far. Great ride for the price - Simple riding pleasure. The 360 degree engine has much more character than other parallel twins. Ridden 500x , 300 / 500 CBR and would take the Benelli anyway over the Honda's.
So you're saying it's probably good for regular dirt roads? We have a ton of those around here and I've been looking at picking up a second bike to do done exploring but honestly most of the time would be spent on pavement.
@@1SnarfyDude Yeah, I wanted an all-rounder that would handle dirt trails and light off-roading through the forest trails and shitty pothole filled roads in my region. I was first set on the Ducati Desert Sled (2nd hand), but after riding a couple of these on the road and then the New leonino, the New Benelli was an easy choice considering that most of my riding is on-road, it was still great fun to ride like the Sled, handles light off-road and trails fine and I could buy a small car for the wife with the difference in price. Ground clearance is same as the desert does also.
@@sonang7721 My TNT15 sounds amazing for a 150cc single cylinder. But after 2months it started making this worrying grinding sound at around 6000-700 rpm, also it's super underpowered, carburetted in 2022, and has a problem revving up without pulling the choke. I'd say it's not reliable, yeah.
I have benelli 502c which is a good looking bike I am in the UK and had people think is lovely and it is done 3500 miles on it and handles to it has double throttle bodies and you get in 6th gear and go with to much changing gear great stuff
These bikes are really popular in both India and Pakistan. Benelli is now owned by Geely. Geely also owns Lotus, Volvo and Proton motors. I feel here in US we're going to see a lot of Chinese automobile companies entering US market if there are no sanctions in next 10 years. They're already taking over competition i.e Toyota, Honda, Suzuki, Hyundai etc in Pakistani market. These automakers offer huge value for every dollar spent.
This video was a bit surreal to watch because I own a red Leoncino, live in Austin, and ride those same roads. Anyway, everywhere I go I get positive comments on my bike. It's a fine looking machine. Most bikers I encounter have often never even heard of Benelli, or just know the gun manufaturer. It runs and rides really smoothly - I seriously don't think I could have made a better choice for a daily, around-the-town commuter. But yeah, parts are hard to get and it doesn't want to go much faster than 90mph. Other than that, no complaints.
The black parts of the bike blend in with the black background, making the bike invisible. If the bike's frame and tires were white, it might've shown up better.
The sound is that of a 360 degree firing order P twin, like an old school Triumph or the BMW F800. BMW used it on the F800 because it has a very similar sound and feel to the BMW boxer twin. I think it would compete most closely to a Husqvarna Vitpilen/Svartpilen 401
As an aspiring beginner rider im definitely still considering a Rebel 500, just because I want a bit of reliability in a name that sounds more familiar. But none the less im adoring this content!
Can't wait to watch this. I've live way those bikes looked for years. Scooter dude so not sure why nervous of going to gears. I can find it just like having one less thing to worry about.
I think more twins need to come with dual exhaust slip ons from the factory. Think that what's making it sound a little different. The 360 crank prolly helps too. I picked up a Toce slip on from a friend after he binned his track bike and put it on my MT-03. While it still sounds like a small displacement twin, it now does this really cool resonance thing any time you get on it.
Dear Mr. Noob. Thank you for shedding some light on Benelli. I have a hard time comparing this to the xsr700 or desert sled. You mentioned the cb500x a couple times. Similar hp and displacement, but 2022 upgraded brakes and forks. The Benelli is the "trail" version. Plus the Honda is $8200 CAD. I would really like to see a direct comparison if you could tangle one on Twisted Road or something. Thanks again for this video. 👍
Hey hey hey , he’s NEVER giving Honda a fair shakedown, he hates them. Seriously the Honda is cheaper ( he’s wrong on the price) it’s lighter.... and you know it will hold it’s value and outlast a benelli.
@@stubbingtonmarigold3032 the Honda is not cheaper then a Benelli, I pulled out of the dealer on my 2022 Leoncino Trail 500 at $7800, including tax, title, reg and docking fee. The Honda will be closer to $9000 after all those other expenses people forget to add on. The Benelli has better suspension, better brakes, handles better, better low end punch. The CB500 definitely revs a little better though. Both will run fine for a long time, these Benelli’s already have a great reliability record over seas. A Honda will hold value better though as you mentioned. Benelli also looks way better.

The knob on the shock is preload adjustment. The damping adjustment is under the right side cover. You have a dud when it comes to brakes. Mine stops on a dime and gives me change. Very very powerful brakes. Also... fuel mileage actually is pretty poor. 40-45mpg at sea level.
Really cool little bike - needs a diet - but still nice bike - the giant forks solve a lot of tiny issues that can happen with smaller forks - one less thing to worry about - flex, etc.
the beefy forks are just for the looks, this bike was designed by a famed Italian designer Stefano Casanova, that is why the bike is so beautiful and stylish and those forks are part of that design. I think this one might have some problem with the front brakes, mine has some serious stop power at the front, too much even.
I did test ride the road version here in the Philippines one of our demo .. I try it on a sandy pineapple plantation road very easy to handle and comfortable. The muffler sounds is eargasm for a twin cyclinder .. I love leoncino500 😍

@@Ferrari255GTO - why not get it used and pay only 3-5K, and you get 1-3K to buy gear and other stuff you need.
Yammy, i watched ur video on this and my local Suzuki dealer in little Rock Ark. Has become a benelli dealer . They had this exact bike . I purchased it and have put 3,000 miles on it and so far have not had a single issue. Fun bike and people ask me about it alot.
Yammie has now reviewed Royal Enfield and Benelli, probably the two brands he hates (or hated) the most. And both reviews were quite positive.
My impression is Yammie hates Harleys more than any other brand.
He disliked the older Benelli’s, doesn’t seem to mind the newer models
Sounds like a cross between an XSR700 and a Svartpilen 401. Sounds like a comparison video if I ever heard one! I'm one of those guys who bought a Svartpilen 401 as my beginner bike because of you, and I absolutely love it!
Definitely seems like a svart401 competitor. Seems decent for sure!
I bought a 2023 benelli 302s in February. I have almost 7k miles already and love it! Benelli is an underated motorcycle!
I love Benelli, another nice video Super Yamm. I greatly appreciate your objectivity, I know Benelli has let you down in terms of expectation in the past. Nice content, and keep producing interesting content.
Hey Noob, (don't know your real name) anyway your vids are the best. Very objective and to the point, very precise info on each bike you present and Noob you are clearly a man with an above average level of general knowledge, so great vids that's all I have to say.
I would not be surprised to see it overtake the big 4 in 5 years.
they gotta work on the weight of their chassis tho. power to weight ratio is poor in their mcs.
@@justaclosedaccount Aren't CFmoto using Kawasaki 650cc engine on their motorcycle?
@@justaclosedaccount thanks for your feedback. I would share that with my friends and the CF community here
Not sure the matte black background is the best choice for this venture.
This type of style never really appealed to me until I saw this bike in green and fell in love there and then. I adore this bike and want one one day.
I think it's a pretty awesome looking bike sounds pretty throaty for the size engine it has and had allot of really great features and the price is spot on
Tiny lion "hood" ornament? That's so dorky and adorable...take my money. X'D
I owned this bike… love it! the price is quite affordable compared to the other brands 👍🏽
hi ada how are you i wan ask u about what price of bike on dollar how cost
Finally. I’ve been waiting for this for a long time
My Benelli TNT15 is manufactured in 2020 and still has a carburettor.
Im with you for the after sale service. They are not at par with the big 4. So yeah.
Got this as my first bike a month ago and I'm in love with it 😁
Im still a noobie from the outside looking in. Im still thinking about what kind of bike i want my first to be. Ive been leaning towards adventure bikes and dual sports....but man o man this thing is sexy. Putting it on my list for sure
@@aethelwulfwarlord1475 funny how you mention BSA lol
A Honda Rebel 500 or any of the Royal Enfield bikes (INT 650, Meteor, Classic) are still better choices than this.
@@roxtarcool rebel is on my list as well. Havent really seen the enfields enough to say I like em or not
Even Harley & MV Agusta are using QJ(Benelli’s parent company) bike platform as their own model so you know this ‘Chinese’ brand you hate doesn’t mess around. If their bikes can survive the rough south East Asia road conditions, they can probably do well in Murica that’s for sure
I've been working on an old mates Harley Davidson
"Genuine Harley-Davidson® Motor Parts
17369-06
GASKET SERVICE KIT, 1K, 5K, 10K
Assembled in the USA with parts from China"
So the parts are made in China but packaged (put in a plastic bag) in the USA
I must admit the oil filter is made in the USA
My dad has been riding motorcycles for 40+ years and got this bike recently. He loves it after dealing with Harley Davidsons and their issues for years. He let me ride it and it felt very nice! Although I’m 6’5 and it was a bit cramped for me.
Have fun getting parts.
I have a Benelli TNT125, I have change out the original brake pads on that bike for some EBC's and the difference is amazing. So I would say it's a pad problem , just fit the ones you like to use and I'm sure that would improve.
Fantastic review Yammie. Looks like a nice little bike. I'm currently rocking a 2016 Africa Twin, but it is nice to check out these smaller budget bikes and see what is around for when I'm no longer strong enough, or fit enough to ride a big bike and want something less intimidating :) CHEERS, Cam from New Zealand
@@jaysunbrady I had a Triumph Scrambler 900 EFI, I’ve ridden Versys 650 and a GS 850. Is that enough for you? ;]
I heard the leoncino have rusting issue due to all the steel being used to save cost, is that your experience?
@@neuro7097not at all. Like I said, this is my second Leoncino and I had no issues with rust. Or any other issues, for that matter 😊
I don't have problem with front brake either on my Leoncino Trail.
@@philljames6802 cool, thank you for the input. I think I'll go to the dealership and check this out in person.
The Benelli BN302 probably has the best sounding P-twin in the 300cc class.
Benellis only sound good most of the time
@@dawg7339 Does that mean the engine is not reliable?
I confirm that. I have a 302S, one of my friends has the previous 302 and I assure you that with stock exhaust they sound pretty good.
Glad you finally got around to this bike.

I have benelli 502c which is a good looking bike I am in the UK and had people think is lovely and it is done 3500 miles on it and handles to it has double throttle bodies and you get in 6th gear and go with to much changing gear great stuff
I bought this bike last week because of this video and I love it
These bikes are really popular in both India and Pakistan.
Y'all need to review the Benelli 302S. I have a 2020 model with 3600 miles no issue. I'll gladly let y'all use it for a review
That's plenty fast enough
Just started watching last night really helpful
these motorcycles are popular here in the philippines, it's perfect for us filipinos, small, compact and just the right amount of power.
This bike looks great in person a little tall though but definitely a looker Good job Yam
This bike tall? Besides what? a Honda Grom?
Good video. Bike looks cool. Was this video shot differently. The shop video was very dark. Made it difficult to see. Maybe just me?
The black parts of the bike blend in with the black background, making the bike invisible.
If the bike's frame and tires were white, it might've shown up better.
The sound is that of a 360 degree firing order P twin, like an old school Triumph or the BMW F800. BMW used it on the F800 because it has a very similar sound and feel to the BMW boxer twin. I think it would compete most closely to a Husqvarna Vitpilen/Svartpilen 401
FINALLY A BENELLI!!! I'd love to see a comparison of their 750 to something like the mt07 or sv650
As an aspiring beginner rider im definitely still considering a Rebel 500, just because I want a bit of reliability in a name that sounds more familiar. But none the less im adoring this content!
This bike sounds like a triple. Some Binelli black magic
Yam said no to the Himalayan, so I bought it and love it. Really
Btw, when I squint my eyes, I see a Yamaha Sena. And then I open them and still see it.
Pretty sure its the pads. My friend has one and he replaced the pads with brembo OEM and it was a significant improvement.
YES THE OLD XSR750 WHAT A LOOKER
The 800 cc model looks and sound amazing
I am surprised DOT cleared that lil emblem on the front fender, it's almost like a box opener sitting in front ready to slice a pedestrian open.

Been riding this for 3 years now. A good bike to ride in the woods and fun to ride. Gotta repaint it tho for all the abuse she endure In the last 9 months.
I was waiting for Benelli to bring the 500 Trail to the USA.
It looks good in person too. I like the black and the green. My wife likes the red. Knobbies make it look FANTASTIC for an affordable mid-sized scrambler.
ABS, 6spd, EFI, 40-50HP, sub-500lb curb, standard ergos...AWESOME versatile bike for people that don't want huge power/size/weight/price. 'More stylish and modern than my much-loved DR650s, with similar power, price, and weight.
The rego bracket thing over the back wheel needs to be swapped for a tail-tidy. Upgrade the suspension and tires. Make sure it has a skid and handguards. Upgrade the brake hoses to braided stainless.
It's a scrambler. Not a dualsport, sport bike, touring bike, nor cruiser.
"A scrambler" right 😂

I owned a Benelli TRK502x for around a year. Can't fault the bike really outside of the power. Well, the speedo was lagging behind like a second or 2 which was a bit annoying.
Lots of Chinese bikes have thick forks
I did test ride the road version here in the Philippines one of our demo .. I try it on a sandy pineapple plantation road very easy to handle and comfortable. The muffler sounds is eargasm for a twin cyclinder .. I love leoncino500 😍
Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought Benelli is made in China now? Got nothing to do with Italian other then the name
125 300 cc are made in China 500 is made in Italy
I had a choice between one of these and the Fantic Caballero 500, which is a 450 single by the way, I opted for the Fantic and so far I ain’t disappointed, you should try one out. TTFN.
If you want a sportsbike that makes a Ducati look like the boring mainstream option, check out the Benelli Tornado. No longer available new, and it has a woeful record for reliability. Taken together, this has pushed the price for used examples down to exceptional lows. But it's an exotic and beautiful machine with great handling and an amazing engine.
I feel like he went way easier on this, than he did on the Enfield
Yeah , it was given by benelli... you really think he’s gonna ruin that, he’s got a channel to run.
