    Rebound damping adjustment is under the right side cover, and also accessible from the top when you remove the seat. It makes a BIG difference in how soft or hard the shock feels. I don’t get you at all when you say the bike responds better when braking before a curve. Just counter steer and the bike is perfectly responsive. Plus, those tourance tires steer very slowly. I have some Mitas big blocks on mine and it makes the bike far more fun on the street and in the dirt especially. They have a quicker turn in than the tourance on the street, and the big blocks provide tons of traction off road.
    Also you might want to list your weight. I’m 280 and the suspension is damn near perfect for me.
    ABS button is on the handlebars, as your video pointed out. When stopped hold it for 3 seconds to disable ABS.
    Finally, you can reprogram the speedometer to display accurate speeds. (It’s off by 10.7% on the trail model). Just hold both buttons and turn the key on. Code ccc123 gets you into the setup menu.

      I believe he is deep down biased against this bike cuz it's built in China. But so is his pov camera he used to make that video. And the laptop he used to upload it. I have met many people online bashing Benelli and laughing at Chinese car companies in general. But they don't realize that they're getting better every day. They have moved away from copy cat designs and are now making their own cars that are priced very very competitively and offer many features standard vs Japanese cars.

    As owner of Leoncino Trail I agree with everything what was said. It is great beginner bike. Fun on road, it can be used in light offroad. But as I'm testing other bikes lately I can notice that it doesn't flick from side to side as quickly, the suspension is stiff and offroading is good only in slow speed. Still it's great bike. I would recommended to anyone. Even for tall riders. I'm 191 cm tall.

    How about a test ride review of the Rebel 500 ?? Papa yams did a comedy piece on the Rebel 300 and 500 which was good for laughs but really didn’t explore or fairly evaluate the Rebel 500 adequately. If a Bennelli 500 deserves a test ride review then certainly the Rebel 500 does too😊

      I am quite a bit biased because I own one but I absolutely love the Rebel 500. I think the Honda 500 engine works really good in the Rebel because the bike doesn’t pretent to be a sporty bike. It has good midrange power and a good throttle response. At cruising speed I am usally shortshifting it and keep the engine at a low RPM. But you also have adequate passing power if you use the full RPM range of the engine. The bike has a low center of gravity so it feels very light and nimble especially when you are driving it through city traffic. The super low seat height makes it perfect for beginner riders because you can flat foot the bike even if you are a very short person. My only complaints would be that the stock seat is not that comfortable and the front brakes could use a bit more power when driving with a passenger. Other than that a nice beginner friendly bike but also a good commuter bike.

    Also the gear issue is specific to the unit I believe, the gear box is pretty slick.. but it’s a very linear motor and one most important thing about this motor is tractability.. on it’s bulkier sibling TRK 502 , it can pull from as low as 20 kmph on 4th gear… plus these Benelli’s are built like tank.. I feel like they are LADAs of motorcycles.. a suggestion to folks planning a benelli 502, not it’s not meant for off road, it’s okay with some rough roaring but not an enduro motorcycle, it’s hefty and motor does not have enough torque in lower bands of RPM

    I have the 2020 and so far off road is a bit shakey, but my biggest problem with this bike is that the seat comes free when riding it a lot. I know that sounds like a small problem but picture cruising down the road at 110 k and all of a sudden your seat is free floating. What I would replace is the head light which is just pretty bad, another annoying part of the bike is the fuel gauge which goes from half tank to warning light. Otherwise love it.

      @@scottstewart5784 a Triumph Tiger is quite a few classes above a 500cc Benelli that costs half the price lol. Most inexpensive on/off road bikes will require some braking to help sort the front end put when cornering hard I think is a better way to put it. A Tiger, or even an Africa Twin, won’t require that, but those are both much better equipped and sorted from the factory.

    • @stevenr3729
      @stevenr3729 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Isn’t the Dr 650 like 50 lbs lighter? Plus much more ground clearance and suspension travel. Putting knobby tires on a street bike doesn’t make it a dual sport

    • @RKmndo
      @RKmndo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stevenr3729 A DR650 is about 367lb curb. With skid, 5gal tank, tailrack, and real handguards, mine were around 400lb until I started trimming them down. The Leoncino 500 Trail isn't much more than 400lb curb, and weight can easily be peeled off it with a tail tidy, Li battery, and Ti muffler. The Trail also has over 5" of travel, while many street bikes have only around 3".
      The DR650 is a dualsport. The Trail is a scrambler. A scrambler is a streetbike that has provisions for off-pavement travel. A dualsport is really kind of a non-race dirtbike with provisions for on-pavement travel.
