    Thank you for this buddy! It's been brilliant!
    My DV was leaking so I called my plumber which only changed 1 of the nuts of the round body.
    A couple of days and £50 after the DV was leaking even worse than before.
    After I refurbished my DV with your guidance my boiler is now working spot on again!
    You're a legend!

    Hello, this was very helpful and enabled me to follow along and rebuild my DV for Main Combi 24. I also cleaned up the body's internals as much as possible as I went along with a scouring pad. Many thanks!

    Great videos, with clear instructions, easy to follow each step, made this job snag free having first watched your video on the removal of the valve. Thank you.

      @@advancedboilertraining Thanks for reply and your offer to post other topics. I have to say, as things stand, the breakdowns you have covered so far have sorted all my problems. If that changes, I will let you know, thanks again, great videos.

    Just got to say Thank you. Love your video. It fixed the central heating.
    My husband bought the kit but wasn't complete. So it's been on and off twice. It worked but hot water only when heating was on. So I bought another complete kit. And everything has been changed now. Andy just putting it back on now. 🤞
    Update:
    Turned it all back on and It's all working like it should do yay! Thanks again Julie

    I bought a reconditioned 3 way/diverter valve to swap in this time, but will hang onto the old body & replace the internals next time.
    Cheers!

    Hi @advanceboliertraining brilliant video.
    I have potterton30HE and the plumber has changed the two Thermistor for HW and CH, and the front diaphragm on the DV valve.
    The problem I get hot/cold/hot/cold/hot etc in the HW when the taps are on, and the pressure jumps half a bar.
    The HW is also making the CH outlet pipe get hot, it’s the CH Thermistor that then causes the on/off/on/off of the boiler flame. Worked this out by wiring the HW spare Thermistor and leaving it unscrewed from the pipe it, then it stays on.
    Do you think it’s the DV or a blocked venturi or blocked heat exchange, as he can’t explain the half bar pressure jump.
    Thanks

    • @advancedboilertraining
      @advancedboilertraining  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would look at the plate heat exchanger first. Sounds like it could be blocked, especially if the CH works fine

    Brilliant! Just what I needed to know! You did not mention what we need to do with the 'little O-ring at 22:50 Mine is leaking from that nut so I guess a replacement for that O-ring is needed? Any thoughts? Thanks!

    I have an issue with my diverter assembly after following this video. Everything seemed to go well, however the CH pin (at the top of the main body) extends but does not retract. I can manually push it back in, but it doesn’t go in on its own when the CH is turned off. This means the microswitch remains pressed and I get a flame failure indicator (main 24 HE). I took the assembly back out again to inspect the diaphragm, pin and chamber and all seems fine! I wonder if the spring supplied in the kit isn’t powerful enough? Or water is maintaining the pressure under the diaphragm? Have you seen this before? Any ideas? Great video though, thank you

    • @advancedboilertraining
      @advancedboilertraining  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah a few kits have let me down in the past. Some copy’s are really good and will get the job done, but some copy’s you buy are a little off and cause issues (the pins being a little longer than what they should be, weak springs, etc). If you’re sure you’ve done everything correct then I would look at getting a new repair kit from another supplier

    • @gregorysmith8229
      @gregorysmith8229 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the speedy reply! I’m reasonably confident I did everything correctly (though it’s my first time and it not working has me doubting myself). It’s a shame, I threw the old spring away before I realised there was an issue. Can’t seem to buy the spring independently so need to spend another £20 on a whole kit. Are there any sellers you’ve used in particular that you can remember?

    IMPORTTANT: Do not overtighten all nuts where pins run through, as pins would get stuck and the boiler won't work and will give low pressure/faulty pump error.
    Apart from this, great video, thank you!

    Our baxi boiler diverter valve leaking again. We replaced the one with serviced diverter valve. I believe it is 3rd time. Is it worth buying new diverter valve to fix this this issue. Or need to replace the whole boiler. Last time leak cause electric switch to tripped.

    • @advancedboilertraining
      @advancedboilertraining  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like a dodgy kit. That’s the only downside to this repair, if the replacement parts are a bad copy then it will give issues. I’ve had this before as well

    Please can you provide details of the kit, the sealant & grease that you used. Perhaps name and code with the price? I am not sure where to get and what to get exactly. I tried to zoom in but could'nt read the package.

    • @advancedboilertraining
      @advancedboilertraining  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just be careful when you buy some of these kits as some of the parts in them might be slightly bigger/smaller than the ones you take out of the boiler due to them being bad copies of the set. As you are replacing the parts just compare them to make sure they are the same and you should be good.
