I’ve never bought into the brand loyalty and talking crap about every other brand. Chevy, Ford, Dodge are all good trucks and each has its strengths and weaknesses. Having said that, is there something I’m missing as to why I don’t see hotshot drivers using GM trucks?

Brakes can be measured by sight. There will be a wear line in the pads to show you when they’re ready to be changed. Bearings are a little different. Unless you notice metal shavings in your grease or oil when you change them out, you’re going to have to go by sound. Jack the wheel up and spin it. You shouldn’t hear any resistance at all. If you do then you’d be smart to go ahead and swap the bearings out. Check each wheel at least once a month. Once a week is a much better schedule but most definitely at least once a month.
