There's so many million-dollar mansion tours on YT that I just don't care about but THIS... this is cool. Wonder if there was anything there that was sealed up (and could possibly be reopened?) And the wash days!!! Can't believe you thought that was creepy. SO cool. If I ever repainted that wall I would simply leave a square around that untouched, or even frame it. What a neat piece of history to have literally engraved in your home.

Lovely. I love how they put the finishing touches on homes then. Love the built in in the foyer, and the wood, wow. I love old homes too. Mine was built in 1915, much smaller and less stately, but it has 10 foot ceilings and wide baseboards, sadly they painted over all the lovely wood over the decades, there are LAYERS of paint on the woodwork. For some weird reason there was apparently a fad of plastering in the fireplaces here, every older home I've seen, fireplaces plastered over. Insane. I would have loved to be able to use it last year when we had 12° temps, which is rare for the delta of TN. My house also has lynch locks on the doors, my town was founded in 1873, Alex Haley's family lived in the town so I'm sure you can imagine why people needed lynch locks. Sad. If you know any empaths, psychics, and/or mediums, it wouldn't hurt to cleanse and bless this house so you can both have a fresh start upon moving in. Your house probably already appreciates you considering how you want to take care of it, so you're off to a good start! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
I LOVE Victorian houses!!! This is a gorgeous home!!! Congratulations, and keep us up to date with more videos!!
That home is gorgeous. And when you said you were painting your office a dark green...oh a died! It's gonna look so good with the gold tin ceiling. I have so many ideas just by looking at what you've shown us, I can't even imagine the beautiful things you have planned out for that lovely home
Oh and that claw bathtub is STUNNING! I'm jealous if that alone. 😍 Imagine the beautiful baths in the morning with all that natural sunlight coming in.
Omg you GET IT I always say morning baths are far more luxurious than evening baths, tho I did make sure to get dimmer switches in the bathroom for evening baths as well
Congratulations, your home is stunning! I love old houses for the unique features & beautiful craftsmanship. I’d love to see an update. I even dig the creepy basement. My husband would set up his record player down there, fill those shelves in the “door room” with his junk & use the entire space for his man cave.
I watched the latest video you posted and said to myself, "I wonder if she has a house tour video." Just looking at the background of that video I just knew you live in a beautiful place. This is one of the most beautiful homes I've ever seen. Best wishes to you.
Oh! This place has some beautiful floors! That inlaid wood with the patterns is gorgeous! And the turret room. And the built-in book case. Sorry to hear about the electrical work, but you are fortunate the home is overall in very good condition. I follow historic home restoration channels, and some of the houses are barely standing. My Southern California house is "only" 92 years old, but it also has great features and craftsmanship. And wonky door frames and the original worn out tile counters/sink in the kitchen. I hope you have moved in by now, and are enjoying your reading room!
Congratulations!! Beautiful home, thanks for sharing. Can’t wait to see your new home journey.
Wow!!! your house is stunning!!!!!! Super happy for you. Can't wait to see it furnished.
LOVE LOVE LOVE! Please post more about this house - updates, renovations, restorations, history - absolutely in love with this! 💖💖💖
yay thank you!!
Seriously, my dream home! I'm so glad to hear that you want to preserve it, not try to modernize it. Happy for you!
Wowwww…. amazing house, amazing creepy basement, amazing everything! 👌🏻
Congratulations on the new home, it’s so good to move and start fresh. I love old houses with character, I’m hypnotized by them 👍🏻
I loved that red fish randomly staring at you from above lol
Absolutely gorgeous!! I too am a lover of beautiful old homes, mine is circa 1902 and it has been a labor of love🥰
Reminds me of the Altbau buildings here in Berlin
Omg what do I do with the creepy basement though? Just leave it creepy? Also I'll have to look up the Altbau buildings, sounds cool!
@@LeejaMiller I would fill the basement with lots of light to make it a little less spooky 😅 Maybe you could tile the floors/walls so you don't have that creepy concrete feel to it, then it's more like a bathroom. That fish has to stay though!
I am in LOVE.
Would love to see it furnished. The flooring and tiles are spectacular.
Loving the old doors in the basement. Glad to see the foundation is good. Please please please tell me more
That tin roof is EVERYTHING!!! Can't wait to see the finished tour. I hope you do post a lot of home improvement videos, too.
We literally just finished building our new home and I completely agree, there is something magical about an old home too. I'm trying so hard to bring in loved pieces and aspects to our new home to give it that "been loved" vibe! Very intrigued to see your projects and updates! 💜👏
The basement is my favorite! Love the brick flooring in the basement. Hope you clean it up and get some light down there. Its awesome 🙂
Stunning stairway . . . I live in an 1885 Baltimore townhouse with very similar finishes as regards woodwork and plaster detailing . . . your gorgeous space is so inviting . . . it's rich but warm . . . congrats!
Don't know whether you saw the movie - but that staircase gives me Crimson Peak vibes.
LOVE the tin ceiling, that room will be stunning with green walls. Congratulations on such a gorgeous house!!
Stunning house. Recommend putting a big armchair in your nook for the huge plant. That’s what we have and it’s terrific on a day with a nice breeze and a book. Also sorry that Paul’s ghost is going to haunt you
Oh my god, just started watching the video, your house is giving me Annalise Keating's house vibes, elegant, sober and full of mistery!!
Yes Sister!!! It's beautiful and amazing! Congrats on owning such an historic home!
Keep us updated on your house to home journey. I love antique houses.👏👏👏 Sage the house down👻
hahaha DEFINITELY
Beautiful! I love getting a peek inside homes In the twin cities I likely may have admired from the outside at some point. Do not touch any of that gorgeous woodwork! Have fun digging into the history of this home, I’m sure it has many interesting stories to tell😍
omg I would NEVER! Thank you!
Oh my god THIS HOUSE!!! It's so gorgeous Leeja, congratulations on your gorgeous home ♥️
I love your house...it has so much of its original details. I wish you the best of luck furnishing and moving into your new..old house!
It is amazing!! I am so happy for you, and congratulations on this next chapter !!!! So excited to see what's to come!!
Omg Leeja, it's beautiful!! Please post more as you decorate it! Also - whatever you do with the basement, please keep the laundry schedule and the fish! Congratulations on the new house - I can't wait to see how you fix it up!!
I’m already obsessed with this. I need more videos of progress!!
I can do that!
Love love love the craftsmanship of older historic homes. Congratulations!

I never thought I could be this jealous in my life..... WHAT A DREAM HOUSE!!!!!
Architecture wins and the bones are to beat, love your new home and if it wasn’t for where I live and love I definitely would own one. Don’t be afraid of your basement it awesome space for storage and laundry… enjoy it
Wow, that’s a beauty! I love the idea of dark green in the gold room.
I love it! Just be sure to hang lose, some days the imperfections will bug you. Other days, no sweat. I love the work you do! WHEN Kamala gets in, you should check with her, you have so much to offer.
This house is STUNNING.
Dayumm Leeja that is one STUNNING house. So pleased for you!!!!
Thank you!!!
Looks awesome for a lawyer who happens to be an awesome content creator as well. Very beautiful. Part me would want to lightly update some of the basement minus that washing schedule. It's just so dark down there, but otherwize perfect.
Omg this is my dream house! Congrats Leeja this is amazing
aw thank you!!!
Yes. I LOVE history ♥ and i love old houses...its beautiful thank you for the tour!
I like you more after hearing you speak about old houses like that. ❤️
Gorgeous, love the wood, the floors, doorways built ins, everything, really very incredible, wow! Love it love you! Girl you rock! Mona Rains 💕💚🦋🙏🌻🫶🏿
Painting the tin ceiling room green seems so unnatural to me because the blue and gold Color combo is iconic. The anicient Egyptians really knew where it’s at
Stunning! So Lucky. The detail and colors! I hope it works well for you!
Thank you!!
basements always creep me out too. i love ypur house. congratulations on a great find. live long and prosper
So beautiful! An old house like that is my absolute dream
omg this is amazing! love the camera work also seriously if you ever get rid of any of these doors, i will never forgive you! so good
omg i would NEVER, open floor plans are dead and I'm not interested!
I love it, I love it, I love it. Congratulations. And remember, if you open up that walled off doorway and find a doll sitting there, just wall it back up again. LoL. Cheers from Vancouver, B.C.
I love how it looks lawyery
