Same as the Duke, I suppose. Just put the front wheel of the 390 Adventure on any of the Indian made Dukes (390/250/200) along with similar tyres and voila! You have the 390/250/200 Adventure.
I have watched almost every Indian review of this bike. Everyone was telling like "a good tourer". Most were not satisfied regarding its off-road potential (may be because of alloy wheels 😃). Now i understood the reason. We actually need off-road specialists to review bikes like these
Yeah, but the Adventure is only a little more capable than the Duke for off road use. I mean look at the specs! One inch more ground clearance and just a hair over an inch more suspension travel than the Duke. Other than that it has a 19" front rim and better ergonomics but it is a moderate boost to off road capability at best.

Riemann, you've just blown their minds. I'm sure that there's a million Indian non-journalists who are itching to get their hands on this bike. It is the India-scaled version of what the 990+ bikes are to the rest of here. The seed is planted.
Except that the 990 is a proper adventure bike with proper off road kit. The 390 Adventure, on the hand, is basically the 390 Duke with an extra inch of suspension travel and ground clearance, a 19 inch front wheel and better ergonomics. Also, you talk about Indian "non-journalists" while ignoring the socioeconomics of the country. There is hardly any culture of dirt bikes here as not many people are super rich that they can afford dirt bikes that cost more than most Indian cars. Dirt bikes are not street legal so it is clearly a luxury item out of the reach of a typical upper middle class household. There are very few people in India with the skills to match Adam's. Maybe even in single digits. It takes a lot of money and overcoming a lot of social resistance to get full time into becoming a pro dirt rider or even to develop intermediate skills.
PS: The seed for adventure riding was planted by a bike with a stronger off road focus - the Himalayan. But even that statement is misplaced because we have been going adventure riding on street bikes for decades now.
When I watched the recent reviews of Indian moto journalist of the 390 adventure, they said its not a capable off roader. But its a good road bike. Now I know why. This sweet talking journalist are the ones that is not capable of riding offroad.

Another great video brother! I’m not sure why there are so many unflattering remarks towards the Indian moto journalist. Some rode rather well actually, and the rest are street biased riders, so off-road is new to them. A lot of those guys ride in congested urban areas and are probably capable of navigating and riding in such a way that would make most of American and Euro riders crap their pants. I’m just saying, lets be more respectful to our fellow riders. They’ve kinda inspired me to want to get out and ride more. Lastly, I wish KTM would make a 690 Adventure but it would probably cannibalize 390 & 790 sales, so probably not going to happen. Peace ✌️
Motowipeout What!!?? These guys are look like newbies! This is the same as terrain we take for granted up here in North Eastern Ontario Canada. I’ll give them an E for effort though. I’m sure they’re going to be hooked on off road after this.
A 490 ADV with twin cylinders is on the horizon, to be manufactured in India as a global model. Could be a MY2021 model at the very least. Apropos, a 690 ADV may not make sense in the lineup right now. But, nothing is written in stone! Who knows after 2-3 years of retailing the 490 ADV in India, a 690 ADV twin could be developed.
I landed on this video searching on how to do log jumps on my 390 adv. It’s surprising to see some of these known faces ride so weak off-roads. My lesson learned is Indian riding community needs non scripted content to be educated with facts and not opinions/narratives. The bike is immense capable to take a beating, I can tell from first hand experience of riding this bike alongside Enduros - it can do way more than you can do! Back to what I was looking for - can you help me get this bike bunny hop over logs. I end up hitting the bash plate so far every time I try
KTM 390 got an insane amount of power, but the heating issues still not figured out. As said that on the first gear it can hit to 60 easily but moving forward on those first gear at the times makes your bike more heat up & pumped harder. Actually, it needs to be taken care of it.
Hey Riemann you nailed it dude! You have mentioned exactly what they are.......... How funny those idiots couldn't coupe up with you, when I rode the trails in Fruita,CO Ive experienced it personally... Next time when you are in India let me know will ride together....
I'm Happy that Reiman Sensei visited India sometime but at the same time it's an immense amount of pain for me to not be capable to meet him😭😭😭😭Seeing Sarge right on the front seat showed what level of extraordinary tutorial Sensei gave. Once in this life I'm visiting you master, no sh*t comes in middle👺👺👺👺👺
Mr. Riemann you need to get some real riders to test out your 390 Adventure and not these media clowns. It's a shame that KTM could not find a hand full of hard core adventure riders in India . And believe me no one takes these guys, seriously and neither will their reviews make much of an impact on the sale of this bike. What will impact this bike will be the reviews of a few famous Indian TH-camrs on a 2000 kilometer ride through India .
These guys remind me of when I worked in the IT department for a magazine company. This "Technical Writer" who writes about computer gear would regular call the IT department (usually me) to get one of his gadgets to work. It was so sad. I don't really even care that they can't ride off-road. That none of these guys were like "Yeah, let's do the loop!"... All talk. No action. So sad...
How I would kill for a chance to ride this terrain with this bike! Even more so with Reimann!! Really sad to see the expressions when Reimann asked for a full loop ride. EDIT: After reading a few more comments, also read that some of the reviewers weren't in their best form. For them, I totally understand your situation. But at the same time, feel that pre-planning an off-road experience would have helped you enjoy it more. Just my 2¢.
@@mokujin29 I believe one or two of the reviewers had ridden from far off places to attend this, following which they had to do all the video shoots themselves. You may be be super rich to be able to afford a dirt bike. Most upper middle class Indians are not. A dirt bike in India costs more than a family car and is not street legal. @@khakimzhanmiras There are probably only three or four moto journalists in India that can ride really, really well. Most ride well on the road. For the dirt, how does one practice except on street bikes or soft-roaders like this one? Even I do trails on my KTM 200 Duke and started doing so only about a year ago because I can spare this bike. That being said, the trail in the video can be tackled better than how these journalists are managing.
@@twistednemo Everything your saying is exactly why KTM chose India for the release of this bike, which I think was very smart. These videos revealing their lack of experience off-road truly shows that India is an untouched market for (affordable) adventure bikes.
I'm not gonna back everyone, cos I know a ton more out there who use their motorcycles for posing & content creation on straight highways / famous destination rides for social media climb, even to the level that they buy expensive bikes to attract followers while not even knowing basics like how to clean their bike chains. On social media they pose nothing short of BADASS. However, some folks (like @oggyf ) are honest and upfront about their realities. If they don't offroad, they say so & want to learn. Same was with track riding. And I appreciate that & I'm sure they'll get better. Everyone starts somewhere & I see good in those who're not here to "fake it till you make it". This can only be said about very few people though.

Hey Adam, Pat Brady here from the old trail and enduro club days. Just getting back on a bike after a short 20 year break ha ha.
Far out mate you have done some amazing things with your dirt bike passion, reckon you probably even have a car that has a clutch that works these days hey ;-)
Pat Brady ... no way! Good to hear you're finding your way back. Please tell me you still have that DR350 tucked away somewhere?
Ha ha i wish mate, just got a fire breathing ttr250 to ride to work on but I think I may be on a slippery slope now.
Mah man Brady.
Stoked! Just picked one up here in SoCal. It’s going to compliment my EXC in our Souther California terrain. Thanks for the great videos 🤘
Adam Riemann ..you are giving a new definition to motorcyling .
its inspiring ..keept it up.
cheers bro.
Best Launch by the best rider... I had a great wish to ride with you, sad that Ktm didn't make it happen for me. Oh yes for sure would have tried that loop once more and rode with you to the mountain again😁😁😁.
Desparately waiting to ride this bike, hope I can meet you sometime in the future.
Bulu bhai ~ frankly we missed u so much. Eagerly waiting when came to know that KTM invited some Indian youtubers for the review in proper off road. Pretty disappointed after not seeing u there. The way you had driven Xpulse in Mustang was mind blowing. YOU'RE TRULY ONE OF THE BEST INDIAN MOTO VLOGGER.
Has KTM planned another such test ride for South India ? Couldn't see you along with Sriman Kotaru, Junaid bhai (Art of Motorcycle).
common KTM INDIA, how could you miss Bulu bhai and Junaid bhai for such a launch? these are the people who tour on such roads through out the day, please watch their videos sometime. These auto journalists can maximum hold the show for an hr or 2 anything more then that is a curse for them. seriously bulu bhai I waited for your video for a quite a long and now I understand why there is no video. Anyways hope you get the bike soon and take it to upper mustang again bhai, that will be real review.
@@pinkesh2703 absolutely agree brother but please don't compare sriman with junaid bhai and bulu bhai brother, he went to sikkim and finally for the off roads they park their bikes in the hotel and take a car for rent. What is the point of buying such expensive adventure bikes and riding it only on highways? earlier I was a subscriber of him but lately all his videos are full of advertisements only.
@@salim6774 Not comparing each other but he is much popular n doing rides every month being a moto vlogger. May be on one ride, he chose a car but I guess he had clutch plate issue at that time.
@@pinkesh2703 He is not a mainstream motographer.
Prasenjit Debroy a 490 twin sounds interesting indeed, I’ll look forward to seeing more information about this when it becomes available.
Riemann ripped them all. Cleared the misconception of all those called indian moto journalists. Haha Sacchai(truth, exposed).
@ARiemann1 how many bikes do you own? obviously i get you dont own most on your channel but how many
Just the one bike, Bryce. The ol' 07 CR250R. Everything else I've had to give back.
KTM 390 got an insane amount of power, but the heating issues still not figured out. As said that on the first gear it can hit to 60 easily but moving forward on those first gear at the times makes your bike more heat up & pumped harder. Actually, it needs to be taken care of it.
How will the issue be 'figured out' ? IT simply cannot be becuase of the compression ratios these motors run at.
Hey Riemann you nailed it dude! You have mentioned exactly what they are..........
How funny those idiots couldn't coupe up with you, when I rode the trails in Fruita,CO Ive experienced it personally... Next time when you are in India let me know will ride together....
Hahhahaha
I'm Happy that Reiman Sensei visited India sometime but at the same time it's an immense amount of pain for me to not be capable to meet him😭😭😭😭Seeing Sarge right on the front seat showed what level of extraordinary tutorial Sensei gave. Once in this life I'm visiting you master, no sh*t comes in middle👺👺👺👺👺
Cool looking little bike. Wonder if Australia will get it.
Can't wait to see it with 6 people and the chickens on board going to town.
Hahahahha
thanks nikhil bhaiya for recommending @mumbikernikhil
Awesome vodeoo
Mr. Riemann you need to get some real riders to test out your 390 Adventure and not these media clowns. It's a shame that KTM could not find a hand full of hard core adventure riders in India . And believe me no one takes these guys, seriously and neither will their reviews make much of an impact on the sale of this bike. What will impact this bike will be the reviews of a few famous Indian TH-camrs on a 2000 kilometer ride through India .
those journalists made the bike underrated , i shud had seen this vid earlier
Super awesome. You killed all the moto journos and their reviews with that question 😂😂😂
All talk. No action. So sad...
All show and no go , its the natural order in all of South Asia.
Ultimate Adventure riding! Typical A Rieman style.
Your land of adventure is waiting for you 💕™️
This isn't adventure riding, this is cross-country racing. Adventure riding is riding beyond the end of the map.
is it ?
I loved the background music. Any link?
We missed Junaid Bhai in this video 😌 one of the best trail rider in India 🇮🇳
Bhai India mein jo dikhta hai voh bikta hai
I am just happy to see sarge here 👍👌
How I would kill for a chance to ride this terrain with this bike!
Just my 2¢.
How do you define a form ?
@@mokujin29 I believe one or two of the reviewers had ridden from far off places to attend this, following which they had to do all the video shoots themselves.
But the others were here with a whole crew.
That Powerdrift guy was absolutely killing it on the Adv! 👌🏻
Also, there was girl reviewer who had the most hilarious fall.. 😂😂😂
Few of my girl-rider friends, too, have expressed their distaste at her riding skill.
Hope this helps. ✌🏻
🏍🏍🏍 come on keep going 😂😂😂 thanks @ariemann... loved the vid!
feels great to see a video shot in India on your channel
Thanks Adam for another great video.
Haah. Most of them just wanted to have good meals and push some toggle buttons and talk about how the new plastics look :D
My dream Bike no doubt but it will take toooo much time to BUY so bro can you send this video thumbnail picture or how to get this picture please reply 😶
loves
from India
Now... Where are those who were crying like hell for not having spoke wheels????
Great bike 🤘🤘🤘
My first video with the KTM 390 Adventure will be credited to you.
Awesome! KTM is KTM!!
Adam : who's ready to complete the loop and ride the mountain once more?
Others: ????
The look on their faces !!😂😂😂
It doesn’t look like any of them could ride their finger up there ass
You’ve got the patience of a saint
NZMarkb >me on the new job after lying on my CV
You may be be super rich to be able to afford a dirt bike. Most upper middle class Indians are not. A dirt bike in India costs more than a family car and is not street legal. You don't understand the socioeconomics of India. Your comment is the equivalent of "If they don't have bread, let them eat cake."
FodderRev it’s like their job though
I find HBB everywhere in the TH-cam 😂
The problem with the jurnos not learning new things and not exploiting every genre bikes rather then just sticking to the same old shit ! Making videos, blogs vlogs etc on the same old sh₹t for popularity and followers, i think the idea is to up your game in every aspect of motorcycling!
Imagine Jeremy Clarkson just talking n driving only luxury cars it will be so boring b monolithic and nobody would watch.
That is the state of Indian motorcycling right now, most of the influencers/vloggers donno jacksh₹t but people follow them donno why.
@@DDSurajGiri It is and has been the state of India since olden times , in every case.
Generic Girl It will soon change or the so called jurnos would be replaced by the deserving bikers , older times of motorcycling culture of india didn’t had a choice of genres but right now we do have.
By the the way, thanks Rieman for showing them how.
yeah this is cool and all but that 250 2stroke is what we are really after
Patience, Ben Jamin.
so, there will be tubeless spoked wheels as a power part or not?
Indian motorcycle journalists be like: "yes this is an excellent bike, it does well on and off-road, but the royal enfield himalayan has it beat in looks, price, handling, comfort, and general all round performance"
Haaaa 😀😀 .
Maybe the yesteryear reviewers led you to this conclusion, I must have seen more than 20 video reviews of the bike. Every one of them wanted this bike to be a hit so that they could enjoy the tarmac rides where Himalayan fails.
Happy riding brother #peace
@@AdithyaVardhanGarapati not really talking about the ktm here haha. Just the fact that every motorbike review I've seen come out of India since the himalayan was released just feels like the review was bought by RE. It's good to see a KTM review coming from india
1:05. He is. Varun painter the famous auto journalist
So called
It's about time he started Painting instead. I unsubscribed from Powerdrift because I find this guy to be too oversmart and annoying.
@@VikramSingh-kq2bx Word.
The music is superb!
Very good bike 👍🏼
Why they put cast wheels on these things is totally beyond me 🤷🏼♂️
Supermoto central I am big fan of supermoto bikes, But in India we don't have any supermoto bikes. Is this bike close to supermoto.?? If we change the wheel to spokes.
@@ashishgari2377 Wait for the 2021 KTM 490 SMC
A. To keep it at a lower price point
B. 90% End users won't be taking the 390 ADV for major offroading
you can get spoke wheels as option. power parts . how much I don t know??
@@ashishgari2377 lol really in NEPAL you can find tons of supermotos on the weekends & dirt/enduros.
I came here for the video, stayed here for the comments. oof!
Man these guys should have stayed away from this launch. Litmus test for many. So fragile. No wonder that most bikes shown in their reviews had damage around the tank and handles.
Anyways, this bike sure has made me excited enough to buy it and enjoy riding in my 30s.
