- 24 foot bunkhouse that has a epdm rubber roof in need of a recoat. Used the Dicor 2 part system, cleaner/activator and then epdm rubber roofing coating system. Just under 2 quarts of cleaner/activator used and 2 gallons of coating. Roof is 24'x8'
Used Wyze cam to record time lapse.
Just in suggestion buddy, I would maybe wait to put the tape on until after you've pressure washed ur roof so as the tape doesn't get washed off also. Just my opinion buddy.
I appreciate the suggestion. It's a two part system with a cleaner that you wash off and it can stain the outside of the trailer, hence the tape and poly. It did basically blow off and I had to wash the outside anyways though. Better tape next time...
1 tape AFTER wash and dry with non-staining cleaner
2 cut in seams or reseal
3 masking on a windy day with wet tape is not effective
4 get an air conditioner
5 use a brush not a pressure washer
@@scotthuisman5035 I'm about to remodel my camper bathroom. Kind of intimidating when you've never worked on a camper before. Taking out the bathtub and installing a shower.
Wondering why you didn't paint the rear seam. Are you going to use eternabond tape over it or dicor sealant?
Great video... did you stand on the boards because you have a nonwalk on roof?
Hey Marilyn! That is correct. Checked the owners manual and it instructs you spread the load across multiple rafters. Would have been alot easier otherwise.
Cheers!
Just sealed my roof with tape and sealant and will be doing this in 2 weeks did 1 gallon cover your whole roof?
From the description: Used the Dicor 2 part system, cleaner/activator and then epdm rubber roofing coating system. Just under 2 quarts of cleaner/activator used and 2 gallons of coating. Roof is 24'x8'
It's a 24BH and 1 gallon was cutting it close if I recall. I ended up using 1.5 gallons and think I did 3 coats. The can says how many sqft it covers.
Thanks going to get a 2nd gallon to be safe
So after 2 years almost how is the Dicor withstanding the rain?
I tarp every off season/winter for approximately 5 months so it's covered for that time. I have no leaks, slight discoloration, but no black from the EPDM showing through.
I also used this product; two year later, holding up well.
THE FACT THAT RVS KEEP GETTING WATER DAMAGE TELLS YOU THAT WHOEVER BUILDS THEM IS DOING A VERY POOR JOB ON THEM.
