    I have been looking so long for anywhere that will share some knowledge of Rakau, big respect I will study your videos as much as I can.
    I have only been to one Wananga which I found extremely physically and mentally draining, I knowledge I learned that day.... drifted from my mind, I tried to write down as much as I could....
    Chur.... big respect 🙌 👏 🙏.

      Tena koe e hoa! That is so awesome. I have just sent you a quick email to triple check you would like a Teina sized koikoi (most suited for teens) and not a Tuakana size (most suited for adults). Please check your emails and let me know. Ngā mihi and speak soon, Jackie.

      Kia ora e hoa, thank you so much for taking the time to write this beautiful comment. We really do appreciate it and read every single one. The beauty about our culture is we are on a lifetime journey, especially in the realm of Te Ao Māori. I hope you enjoyed your first mau rākau video and hope to see you continue following our videos.
      In case you don't know, we also create our own homemade wooden koikoi (similar to taiaha) which you can use to train with. Our website is here - calebtekotiri.co.nz/.
      Ngā mihi,
      Caleb & Jackie

    • @Tekotiri
      @Tekotiri  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kia ora, apologies for the late response to your message. We believe, if the intent of what you are trying to do is true and authentic then absolutely. Sharing our culture is beautiful and we would love for others both Māori and non-Māori to learn the traditional teachings from our ancestors. Always here if you have any questions at all. Ngā mihi, Jackie and Caleb from Calebtekotiri.
