've owned a Sonor Delite for 10 years now, bought another one 5 years ago. Both 22/13/16. Play them in loud hardrock bands.
They sound great and cut thru at the right frequencies.
The kicks sound more aggressive when not muffled too much like I assume in this clip.
Costs a little extra, but will keep for a lifetime 😊
Love seeing all these new clips coming out of Sonor HQ. They're such beautiful drums, and these recordings show us that they sound as good as they look!
Better than anything on the market, and I've tried a lot of different drums. So musical, so much density.

Discovered Ralph's playing when demonstrating edrums for Drumtech. These Sonors sound great, almost pre equed. Nice job as usual Ralph.
Thank you so much Michael, there actually is some slight correctional eq (substractive mostly), but nothing drastical & more or less the stuff that you'd do on a drumkit in most cases. Kind regards!

No, they are not for sale in the US anymore. You can get add on drums in the US but not the sets. The prices between the Prolite and the SQ2 are the same in the US. It may no sense for US buyers to get a ProLite kit when you can get the SQ2 for the same price.
...ich bin zwar absoluter Fan von SONOR. Trotzdem hätte ich eine Anmerkungen/Anregung zu den Toms/Tomhalterungen zu machen.
Mir ist aufgefallen, daß diese doch gelegentlich für meine Begriffe etwas zu staken Schwingungen ausgesetzt sind.
Wäre es nicht machbar diese für künftige Serien, oder auch zum Nachrüsten, etwas stabiler, solider zu konstruieren?
Absolute Solidität entspricht doch der Firmenphilosophie oder etwa nicht...?!

I wish when drums are being "played" for demonstration purposes, they would keep it simple in the beginning. Simple beat, simple rhythm repeated so one can "hear" the drums. Which also means no cymbals in the beginning, let us hear the drums. No worries, we already know you are a kick ass drummer Ralf! lol
Why is it? They use some exotic type a snare drum when highlighting a pro light drum kit

True that. But l see in so many drum reviews on kits that they are using mostly something in the metal range and not the one that would come with the kit ie maple. And a lot of the playing is just belting away on the snare and not giving the toms there far share. And that’s only my opinion. Cheers. I love Sonor. Prolite

Maybe it's just me, and it doesn't matter or make any difference... but I hate it when the toms, the snare and the cymbal stands are moving like this. I don't know why.
Sonor drums sound great but the website is poorly conceived. It's impossible to figure out what sizes and finishes are available for each model/series. If the drums are this poorly constructed how long will they last.
I have never been able to understand CYMBAL rape on a DRUM demo. I guess I’m stupid.
