I was Mikkey’s tech during the king diamond days. ( them tour) It was a both a honor and a pleasure working for Mikkey. I had the best seat in the house. Great guy , fantastic drummer. Great meter & killer chops. Great sense of humor and a big hockey fan. Always took the time to chat with his fans. Always looked forward to seeing him when he was in town with Motörhead many times. We were going out to a club after a Motörhead show in Chicago . He saw some kids waiting for a bus after the show on a very cold winter nite. He said Joey please pull over. We pull over and he rolls down the window, the look on the kids faces was priceless. He got out took pics signed stuff , shook hands gave hugs. No rockstar nonsense with this guy. Perfect fit for scorpions. My favorite Swede….😂
Do you remember a show at the Channel in Boston, Flotsam and Jetsam opening, and King didn’t go on because of voice issues, but the band played alone anyway? Plus they built a house on the stage.😊

I always told my friends that when they went to see shows where mikkey was on the drums, whether it was with motorhead or now the scorpions, that if you see blonde hair going crazy behind the drums, you are in for a fun time 😂
I bought a silver sparkle kit in the late 90's...I was looking at going with a chrome wrap. But the sparkle had lots of flashy without being too much. Had many different colors over the years but I just love these silver sparkle the best. I started with the DW 1000 pedals. LOve your playing Kikkey...you are super to watch live.

Me and my son saw him with Motorhead in Manchester, England in 2012. My son bought us VIP passes for the soundcheck. Mikkey came out and chatted with us for a few minutes. He was a really nice guy and such a pleasure to be able to talk with him. I just wish Scorpions could get a full UK tour sorted because it has been such a long time since they toured here.

Saw Mike’s when Motörhead played in Greece many years ago. His long drum solo was absolutely insane and i will never forget how i could feel it on my chest everytime he kicked his kick drum . The man is a BEAST.

Watched you play with motorhead at full force and was blown away. I played with DOA earlier in the day and you guys came in late but set up and gave it all you had which was incredible. I was touring with Randy Rampage at the time and he said, you gotta see this guy play the drums and he wasn't kidding. So glad you got this gig buddy. You deserve it for how kick ass you are.
I went to a club in Boston called the Channel, a legendary small venue in the 80’s that no longer exists. I was there for Flotsam and Jetsam who were opening for King Diamond. He was having voice issues and didn’t play, but the band played without him anyway. They actually had what looked like an old house built on the stage. I remember that, and Mickey Dee.
Even if your not a drummer, you have to absolutely love Mikkey!! Mikkey's been in my top 5 since the Them days!! Such a down to earth guy who gladly will sit next to you at the bar, have a drink or 2 with ya and just shoot the shit with ya!!

I saw Mikkey with Motorhead at Stubbs BBQ in Austin. Four years ago or so I saw him with the Scorpions in San Antonio.
