Thank you Alister!
Поздравляю Мартин. Хорошая вещь.Тоже теперь задумался.
Always a pleasure diving with you. Also good to know it can do 50m plus 😊
Now we know😄 That was a very great dive! See you!
thanks for tips Martin. im using x2 on ATV tours and it was awesome, and wait for divecase to check it underwater.! great to see you. cheers
Thank you! Cheers
Thanks for a great review. Liked it.
Appreciate:)
love the music and epic dive…..in Indonesia….
Thank you! 😊
Great video, and im getting a case soon. Wonder what type of screw mount you use to boltsnap the selfie stick?
Thank you for commenting. I use standard one which comes together with diving case. On bottom I attached carabiner to attach to my diving harness. Using Insta360 invisible selfie stick.
Отличный обзор,Мартин!)
Спасибо!
Привет, дорогой! оценка пять за всё,😊
Hi, first of all, thanks for the effort in shooting the great video.
What do you think is the best way to mount the camera if you don't want to hold the selfie stick? In my opinion, it is possible to connect the selfie stick (in a collapsed mode) to the arms of the "regular" camera and thus also enjoy the lights on both sides of the camera.
But can't think of a way to mount the camera when diving without the big camera (as I often do)
Hi. Thank you!
I am not very familiar with any other mounts since I never had a chance to use them, but from what I’ve seen on videos, all mounts for skiing may work perfectly. It's a great idea to research it😀 I never thought about it since you never know what camera is filming, but now when it’s filming everything😉 Thank you for the great idea!
Thanks for sharing, that seems dope! How long the battery lasts?
Battery lasts for 2 hours gor sure, so need to change between dives. But also I never film long clips, max 1 min or 2. Also it’s charging very fast comparing to GoPro.
Thank you for sharing this! You are the only youtuber showing footage that is not just ~5m. The footage looks a little grainy at anything below 16m depth or is that just due to the low visibility?
How would you compare the footage at the same depth against the gopro hero 11?
Were you diving in Bali, Amed? Looks familiar
Thank you! Yeah, most of my dives are deeper than 20 so good camera is important. Think it’s because bad viz, cause have a lot of footage from deep dives (before I got this case) and it’s not grainy at all.
GoPro is great only when visibility is good and there’s a lot of light. As long it’s not, it’s pretty frustrating to edit it. Also even there’s low visibility Insta’s footage looks like visibility was better than it was.
Yeah diving all around Amed and Tulamben.
Long time no see!
Yap, been a while 😄
The instruction manual recommends pointing the camera such that "neither lens is facing the surface" (ie having the sides facing upwards and downwards). See if that helps to reduce glare like the ones at 3:48?
Thank you for your advice. I found it works that way, but at the same time camera is too close to me if I’m filming myself. If I extend the stick then the only was is it film from above. That’s the reason I prefer to keep in bended position, even stick is visible.
Great video thanks!
By the way, which camera are you using while explaining on land ?
Thank you! I was filming on iphone 14 pro🙂
@@MartinSlisans thanks! The quality is amazing. Good job
Great video👍 On my previous diving trips I had a diving color filter on my GoPro 6 Black. Do you know, if the Insta360 corrects for this automatically? I can‘t find anywhere any accessories for this. On your video the colors even at 20 m depth look pretty good.
Thank you🙂 Red filter is a great solution for underwater photos and video. The only problem is that they make it from plastic which ruins the quality, so I better prefer color correction or compensate light with a torch. Insta360 correcting it with the help of AI. Sometimes it gives too much red and filming downwards is too dark but since I edit my videos in Final Cut I fix it there.
@@MartinSlisans Thank you for your explanation:)
Hey Martin - great to know it can go to 60m. Have you used it with video lights? How did it perform and how did you set it up? Thanks
Hey Sue! Kinda tricky with lights. It’s a wide angle camera and looks weird when trying to film big areas. If close objects than all good. Check out this video, I am talking about lighting there th-cam.com/video/t743P0I_Y6w/w-d-xo.html
Do you keep the camera clip to the BCD when getting back on the boat or do you pass it up first while still in the water? Fear of scratching the lens / breaking the case while climbing back onto boat vs accidentally dropping it.
Hi Vincent! I am giving it to the boatman before exiting.
Im more intrigued about your rig. Is that single side mount configuration with a chest mouth rebreather? I can see a thick hose and no bubbles
Oh, I was diving chest mount rebreather and that one tank was my bailout tank. Inflator house started leaking in the end of dive, that’s why bubbles 😂
@@MartinSlisans dope! Im glad insta came out with that invisible case that I just happened to receive today. Now I can do some solid bts whenever I’m filming underwater
@@nes.torfernandez yeah, me too. Been struggling too long with it, now it's a time to enjoy😄
How is it different when you point your camera perpendicular to water surface when you're swimming? Thank you
Software can not remove stitch completely because of water reflection, so footage is so so.
Hi mate,
What depth was the outro filmed at?
Thanks
Hi! 12-6 meters.
I decide buy this ......This is for scubadiver
Tt's a good camera, gives a lot of space for creativity.
Is the selfie stick still good after summerging in salt water?
Yes. Using it on daily basis for more than 3 months and still looking good. There’s no anything can rust or get damaged because of salt water.
Where did you get the sock, to protect the lenses?
It’s a neoprene beer glass sleeve 😄
If using the gopro stick would that still be invisible and easier to shorten
That's a good question! Yes, any stick is invisible. Been using different sticks, some of them not original and 3 meters long and the software removed them all.
any post processing done to your footage? Is the WB set to auto, it looks very good.
Only 2 clips are color corrected, both where I was filming against the sun in Candidasa. The rest is original.
Thanks for this, your footage is much better than some other videos where people complain that it is soft and out of focus. Could it be due to the dive case not used?
Yeah, been trying without case and than footage is crap due not enough light.
Nice upgrade! Is it compatible with the X2?
No it's not. Button location is different. I wish it is.
@@MartinSlisans A great video, but have you tried with the x2 to start recording before putting it in the case to solve the difference in the location of the buttons?
@@brandonisaacresendizborreg2051 No, I didn’t and I don’t see the point of doing it, simply because than it’s a very long video and very hard to edit.
Where did you get the neoprene sock?
Also you said the footage wasn’t color corrected? Not using the AI aqua vision either ?
The one for beer bottles)) I din't use aqua vision for this footage. I usually personally colour correct footage since I don't like how AI do it. It's giving too much red for my taste)
@@MartinSlisans I saw the DSMB was very saturated that’s why I was curious if you had the AI color correct.
Ah beer bottle neoprene, perfect!
Yeah, also light from the torch at 50 meters was red instead of yellow. But that's what camera do without aqua vision.
@@MartinSlisans yeah I saw that too, very interesting that it added red automatically without the AI aqua vision
I think its a pretty crappy move on the part of Insta to release a direct replacement for the old case, addressing flaws which should not have even been present in the old case, whilst offering no kind of trade-in incentive for those of us stuck with the old one.
Waste of money, waste of plastic, and just kinda shows contempt for consumers.
We all make mistakes and as long it’s not too late it’s ok to fix them. They released a very good camera not so long ago and case for diving based on all knowledge they had at that moment, with the same fails as on previous case for x2 camera. While listening to consumers complains decided to fix them and improve it and I don’t see a problem in it. I agree with you it should be done immediately, together with new camera release, but all of us learning from own mistakes.
What I really care at the moment is I got a tool I had no thought it’s possible.
@@MartinSlisansthen a fair solution would be for them to offer owners of the existing case either a fair discount or trade-in on those old cases. They are offering neither.
@@fatwoul The idea is great and personally I would be happy to get all my old gear crap out of the house when new is released, just I guess companies who can afford to do it have to be same big as Apple or Samsung. All that recycling program looks nice on paper while in the reality is bloody expensive and works more like a marketing campaign.
Mmm image quality still looks meek… can’t just blame the visibility on that 😕
Yeah, it’s need a lot of light, sensor is small. But any action camera is pretty much the same. GoPro is not exception.
Would be interesting to see underwater footage from the new @djiaction4
