You think the headlight issue is bad driving a regular vehicle try driving a semitruck with one of those coming towards you. Blinds the hell out of you, imagine an 80,000lb truck with a blind driver coming towards you!
Imagine truckers buying a$$hole 20000 candlepower cheap o led’s and throwing them in a headlight housing that’s not made for led lights, not adjusting them, and hitting the road. Happened to me, I got on the radio and told him they were waaay bright. He came back and said” sorry bout that, but at least I can see”. Everyone these days just thinks of themselves. Don’t even get me started on these light bars that are for off-road use trucks are putting on the front of the truck. Can’t believe DOT goes along with this…..
That's a funny take on what you said, but I guarantee you you would never say that to one of those real tough guy faces, and if you did, you would face consequences for running your mouth! Just because something looks stupid in your eyes, doesn't mean it should be banned! S h i t, we can all point out something that looks stupid that we don't like, but we don't get to articulate it being outlawed! Only these politicians try to get stuff like this pass, BUT WON'T take on the drug problems and things like that in this country that are more important than regulating the truck on the road!
What's the difference between a squatted truck and safety and a four wheel drive monster truck that has been raised. For the record i don't like either one
The difference is squatted your front end pointed toward the sky you can't see what's in front of you, versus leveled lifted you can over the hood, not only that but it looks stupid and hard on your drivetrain not designed to run at upward angle
That's weird. On pre runners or Baja racers they put the tires in the back so it's weighted. It prevents the truck from nosediving, then the suspension takes a beating and it gives out. The squat isn't intentional. But this is a trend in Mississippi, I'd have to say it's ugly.
They would save a lot of money by just driving with a blindfold on. People who put this crap on their vehicles are just screaming for attention because they're not getting it anywhere else.
One passed me the other night .It had me totally blinded. Of course they don't care who they blind and put in a dangerous situation. That's why they all should be illegal.
It's a "misdemeanor" against whom? If no one is hurt, harmed, injured, or damaged in the event of jacking their car up, then they would "fail to state a claim upon which relief can be granted." 🤷
Raised truck were a big thing in the 70s but when they were found to have beheaded people in an accident they were made illegal and you couldn't get insurance on the road .
I find a strange that just because it looks odd they want to ban it. When lifting your vehicle is as dangerous. Even lowering your vehicle to a certain limit is very dangerous. But like what I said lifting your vehicle is very dangerous but this is Ban just because it seem hot
Now let's say you got a thousand pounds of cinder blocks on the back of your pickup truck and your truck looks squatted with the extra load now are you going to get a ticket for that in Mississippi or what?
No, not likely as you haven't modified the suspension system of the vehicle. But you would have to be aware if the load exceeds the weight capacity of the vehicle
I feel like if you have no load and your truck is level the law wont have an issue. if your suspension is modified only in the front is when the law will need to measure your truck for compliance.
We get it. You have a small pp bro. I do too but I don’t lift my truck so high I need 2 ladders to get in. Most who do it are 5’2 and need a ladder to get in a stock truck. Clowns

4 inch difference is still allowed. The law is for the excessive ones. Not a fan of them, but should be allowed to do stuff to your vehicle with in reason. 4 inches seems plenty.
My question is what about the people that spend all that money to modify their truck only to be told that now it’s illegal. Now you gotta spend more money to get it lowered. That fuck up
Im all for freedom. But not when it becomes a safety concern. Poor handling✅ poor vision✅. Headlights blinding others✅. Greatly diminished braking performance

It has nuthing to do with seeing. I have not seen one wreck from guys driving those truck. But what I do see is people running lights drive over the speed limit or drunk wrecking. Hell you own a Camaro or mustang you can't see over the wheel
Damn! They can pass a law to keep you from squatting your vehicle but can't quickly pass a law to control squatters!

White folks in Jackson Mississippi are lethal.
Same as. They can't pass a law to stop your neighbors from using your property as their own.
