I love how Alex NEVER talks down or degrades someone’s collection, no matter what he finds. He always finds a way to say like ”maybe not for me” or ”maybe a bit on the newer side than I’d want” or ”this looks more like entry level” instead of just saying that something looks like cheap crap. Very respectable towards everyone and everything. Love him for it! ❤️
@@CuriosityIncorporated, So weird, when the video started and it showed you gassing up and turning on the car. The thought came to me. I wonder if he ever had car troubles or broke down with this old car. And just a few minutes into the video, you are having car troubles. How odd and weird. I am glad you got it back on the road so soon again, even though it took 3 hours or so. But better, then you had to stay over night.

Good Morning, What a fun shopping trip this was.. lots to see...Wow! Cool old tow truck! Looking forward to seeing it at The Store...oh Alex! you are always outdoing yourself! Your store is going to become quite the tourist attraction in Edmondton! The new Truck will fit in nicely! Great Find! Loved this episode of Curiosity Inc.
I remember one of the first videos I watched you were running out of gas on your way to first see the Potter's house! That car takes you on adventures for sure.
I’m wondering if you’ll be able to resist going back, especially if what you picked up sells quickly. Now that you have an idea of what’s there, I’m sure you can peruse more efficiently. Another great video, Alex! Thanks for posting and I hope Melissa can share one of hers again soon. She’s so cool! 😎
The prices I could see on the stuff in that store were insane. No wonder it was packed to the gills. Most likely he didn't really want to sell anything or the prices would have been more in the realistic range.
I agree with your assessment. The difference between a hoarder, collector, and merchant tends to be psychological. How things are stored, what is the evaluation process, if there is trouble letting go of any part of it, and if "trash" is valued the same as museum quality, artistic value, market valued items. The psychology to keep and store beyond what is reasonable, usable, and the inability to part with items even when they make your life difficult or even untenable is where the pathology lies.
$350 for a Praktica MTL5. You can get a nice one for less than $50 on Ebay. With 591.000 pieces built between 1983 and 1985 and not being the ultimate camera in that series it is not even very collectible.
I know a guy with an antique store his prices are crazy high. He really didn't want to part with it. His girlfriend said the same thing. Nice people though, fun to chat with.
I had to chuckle to myself when you pulled down the model BMW kit and said "I used to have one of these." If it had been anyone else, I would have thought you had one of those model kits. Being who you are, I realized you meant you had one of those actual cars. 😃

Mirror, Alberta - One of my favorite villages (now Hamlet). It is one of the oldest Alberta communities -at 150 years; was built as a railway town with high hopes of being the central connecting town between Calgary and Edmonton. Then the railway declined and so did Mirror; now it's a lost and almost forgotten hamlet on a little back road. It is in one of the most beautiful parts of our province. Years ago I wished to move there.
Thank you for another fun adventure. I love going through second hand shops. Alex, going along with you is a unique history adventure as well. I also love history. Gee, I sure would like to put that buffalo coat on. Years ago I knew a fellow from one of the countries near N. Russia. He wore an authenic Russian wolf-skin hat. Putting it on was warm to hot in a minute. It was also very heavy. 😊😊😊

Alex, so how many times as you were wandering through that amazing hoard of collectibles and antiques did you think about making an offer on the whole place???? Can you imagine?
The Philippino taxi is called a Keep me. JEEP KNEE. The model you have is a fancy one.. The people over there get what ever scrap metal they can and make them.
I wonder what a century old buffalo pelt smells like.
Canadian people are so nice and helpful,,,,unfortunately this is not the case in the USA,
I just want you to know I really enjoy your videos I think you have a beautiful store I love it and you have a very nice looking family God bless you my friend Godspeed
Alex, so how many times as you were wandering through that amazing hoard of collectibles and antiques did you think about making an offer on the whole place???? Can you imagine?
I have another big deal planned in the near future, with much better stuff so I didn’t wanna go too crazy this go around.
@@CuriosityIncorporated OOoooo, that's an enticing tease. I can't wait to see what you've got going on.
@@CuriosityIncorporated Does ALEX have any interest in browsing these type shops with you??? There seems to be so many interesting things of interest
The Philippino taxi is called a Keep me. JEEP KNEE. The model you have is a fancy one.. The people over there get what ever scrap metal they can and make them. Sometimes you can see 8 to 10 people on them. My brother in law told me about them he is a Philippino. Just thought I would let you know. Have a great day.
VIEWERS FYI, iF you watch the adds instead of fast forwarding thru them, it help Alex.
Omg soooo much!! Really nice things. I also was waiting for you to say your coming back with a uhaul!! Great pick, thank you for sharing!!
