Stephen was so intoxicated from his maple syrup deck that he forgot how Felidar Retreat works and kept doing his land drops in his second main phase and missing the vigilance that comes with the +1 counters.
You can sacrifice Kaya's Ghostform at the same time! 2019-05-03: If Kaya's Ghostform and the enchanted permanent are both put into graveyards and/or exiled at the same time, the enchanted permanent will be returned to the battlefield.
I love Jon's Kadena deck. Also I love how well Corey has integrated, it feels just like when I learned how to play Commander; your friends help you but also make sure to beat you down as much as possible.
I have to say, this show is a blessing. I stopped playing MTG for about 4 years now because my LGS drove away all of us by being very scummy and having some trouble with the law. But with a new shop opening, I dug my cards out and I saw my SCG tokens and my Stephen token and this show flooded back to me. Been binging it for a month and I am so happy to be back.
Just a heads up, urine that smells like maple syrup could be a sign of either diabetic ketoacidosis or maple syrup urine disease. So... if anyone has been peeing on Stephen's sleeves they should probably go to a doctor.
I have a ruling question that pertains to Steven's board state. When the sword of the animus pulls a land and triggers land fall for +1+1 and vigilance from Felidar retreat. Does the vigilance affect the creatures before or after they would have tapped or does the tap step for the attacking creatures come before the land fall trigger. I do not know the full ruling on this and just wanted to know how it would change the game state.
Great episode, although Stephen missplayed A LOT.. missed triggers, forgot vigilance and if I’m not mistaken, Breena can’t target herself if Sword of F&F is equipped
Steven doesn't equip with lands he's about to untap at least twice. Wonder what he had in his hand that made him not tap out. Especially to protect his commander against three black decks. Also misses drawing 7 cards from hitting Jon.
I thought Corey was cool before, like S. Green is a national treasure, but god damn, when he said I am playing the N. Bolas, the ravager deck, a deck I tortured people over for ages, Corey earned a place in my cold heart.
You would think that but nowhere in Breena's text does it say "target". All it says is put 2 +1/+1 counters on a creature you control. This is very significant because protection only cares about targeting and if the card does not say target then it can't stop it.
23:15 Stephen paid his taxes for the first time last episode. Baby steps bud, baby steps. lol

“What a grand and intoxicating innocence”
Sweet rewards.

@Star city games I think Jeremy deck wizard of cost was thinking about Hydra not Jeremy Addition to villains Wealth

Jon’s Kadena deck is my fav deck. And watching him play from the couple of times in the past helped me play mine a lot better. 😅
I have to say, this show is a blessing.

When Stephen attacks two diff opponents each with a higher life total than another player he gets two triggers off Brenna not one
Dragon Shield art sleeves all smell like maple syrup for some reason it’s a little weird.

Dragonshield art sleeves get that smell over time and then it goes away eventually. I think it’s something to do with the ink.
I like how they added in a preview of what's to come.
Is Corey playing Justin's deck?
What a pleasure to watch those games :D I loved it!!! So fun!!!! Thank you so much!!!!
Corey: "Your decks are very boring"
Jon: "You're boring!"
Best wordplay I've seen on this show so far :P, I loved it lol
Min?
@@MaximilianoEmanuel. Oh man, I have no idea. Closer to the end I think :P
@@MaximilianoEmanuel. 27:00 ish
Got quite a backlog to go through but I really appreciate all this content to watch after coming home from work
Great game guys! Super sweet original foil Rhystic Study and Dust Bowl!
Loved this episode, gentlemen! Enjoying Corey's energy that has been brought.

You declare you're attackers at the same time(tap them), so they would be tapped when the attack trigger goes on the stack
Love to see video where Corey finally gets to play with y'all against the horde or play double headed giant
hey @starcitygames team, what have you switched to for audio recording, noticed you're not on headsets anymore
Amazing episode. Now I want an Odissey episode lol
Jeremy, your Mouse Rat shirt is 👌🏼👌🏼
Do they post the deck lists anywhere by chance?

@@SCGCommander awesome thank you so much!
MY SLEVES SMELL LIKE THAT TOO. I THOUGHT I WAS CRAZY!
Some of my dragon shield sleeves smell like maple syrup as well 😂
All of my Dragon Shield art sleeves smell like maple syrup and people think I'm insane when I bring it up
Great episode, although Stephen missplayed A LOT.. missed triggers, forgot vigilance and if I’m not mistaken, Breena can’t target herself if Sword of F&F is equipped
Breena doesn't target
Can confirm dragon shields newer art printed sleeves ALWAYS smell like maple syrup. And i aint complaining
Stephen Green played the deck after eating some pancakes 🥞.. he was playin at dennys for sure
As a fellow mischievous monkey lover I would've loved to see Ragavan. Loved the ep anyway!
I've got a couple of packs of dragon shields that smell like maple syrup too.
I've noticed that a lot
It’s the glue they use. Must be maple or sum cause every DS that I’ve gotten has been maple scented
No way! I got some and thought I was crazy, but my playgroup could smell it too.
Cape Canaveral is nowhere near DisneyLAND. DisneyLAND is in California :)
Yep disneyworld is deffo different.
LISTEN I WAS WRONG OK ?
That's okay I don't know the difference either and I've been to both.
Zaxara was my very first commander. Always loved casting my opponents cards and no funner way to do that then villainous wealth.
The balance of playgroups is very interesting. The addition of Corey and absence of Justin has definitely swung things in Steven and Jon’s favor.
Twice? I've seen Jon play Kedeena morph like 7 times lol
It might be because he's just that good at playing a game other than magic called digimon morphs
I made a Kadena deck once, but I had so many morphs, I was constantly checking to see what was face down 🤦🏼
always great to see you back
The sleeves smelling like syrup is actually common now, everytime I buy those types of sleeves they have that smell
Steven green playing against rhystic study like he’s playing a game of Uno 😂
Corey's been such a breath of fresh air. I do hope Justin is doing well but I'm glad we got Corey into the format.
Why did Justin leave? Didn't watch for a long time
@@epicfail9271 I believe he had a long term family issue of somekind come up.
Me trying out new jank cards and explaining to my table why they’re good: 12:51
Fun game, thank you.
I love the Kadena deck! Awesome to see it back. Kadena is probably my favorite personal built deck that I have in Sultai color.
Same! It’s so much fun. And when I play at tables I’m usually the least threatening
Its best when playing own deck.
Can't wait to see how absurd their personal decks are.
If Dan parents become fans that two more subscribers.
I wouldn't mind seeing only one block set games. Mirrodin, Alara, Loyrwin, Urza, Onslaught, Original Kamagawa, ECT
I've also got some dragon shields that smell like maple syrup. That's really weird.
This is basically WWE for Magic players
Team green
Corey officially won me over by playing Massacre Girl, she's my absolute favorite
Did I miss an update on Justin? Is he not coming back?
Indefinite hiatus
I thought Corey was going to make my Maelstrom Wanderer deck as his first personal deck ;)
Me too thanks.
Would be unfair to everyone else. Lol.

Wish I had Jon's Kadena list :(
Y'all should do the opposite now. Let Corey pick everyone else's Commander's and let everyone else pick his.
Love Corey's deck but always #TeamParnell
They need the mics back. Makes the audio more even. I know Corey is louder than the rest but still.
I wanna see Corey baumeisters Nicol bolas list !!!
I absolutely hate the new "coming up" segment. I'm going to watch it so many times when I binge. I don't need the double up.
I haven't been able to watch much lately. What happened with Justin?
He stepped away from making content to take care of his family after some medical stuff happened. He has updates on his twitter.
Sound is awful without the mics
#TeamCorey for life!
Is it just me or has the sound just been really bad the past episodes?
Uhhhhhh Corey you been watch commander clash recently?.....uhhhhhhh takin some inspiration from Crim???
I thought Corey was cool before, like S. Green is a national treasure, but god damn, when he said I am playing the N. Bolas, the ravager deck, a deck I tortured people over for ages, Corey earned a place in my cold heart.
I totally watch Commander Clash just for Jonathan... and all for the wrong reasons
I don't think Steven can give Breena +1/+1 counters when it is equipped with SoFaF, cause it becomes pro-black
You would think that but nowhere in Breena's text does it say "target". All it says is put 2 +1/+1 counters on a creature you control. This is very significant because protection only cares about targeting and if the card does not say target then it can't stop it.
Team Stephen here
Hi
I have heard fenugreek makes your bo smell like bo
Breena is so sweet
Decklists??? Lol
You guys brot the stinky stink
bring back parnel
The new mic set up meh
i took a huge pause from watching, what happened to justin?
so many missed proliferate triggers
Spoiling the best part of the episodes at the start? Bad form Commander VS...
So much vigilance wasted
Does anybody enjoy seeing Rhystic Study turning up in Commander? The card makes me irrationally mad at the videos it turns up in.
Jeremy played his own deck incredibly poor lol
so many miss plays and miss triggers lol
