- Did we make a mistake going from a small RV to an even smaller van??? We have been fascinated by the Class B RV Vans since we started searching for a motorhome... but a wetbath was something I (Alisa) didn't want to deal with! Well, I am over it and we made the move!!
We were in Tuscon and decided to take a look at the RV dealerships... just for fun... and found the perfect van for us! It is the Winnebago Travato 59K, and we love it! So now, we have the challenge of downsizing our stuff to make everything we need for RV life fit in our new van!

I had a feeling y’all was going to move to van life. Whoop whoop so exciting, I can’t wait to see how y’all adjust to the smaller space. Even thought it’s a bit smaller it seems very efficient. If I money I would have loved to buy the RV. I truly hope the next owners take good care of her.

Welcome to class b vanlife. I have a winnebago solis px with a pop-top and love it. I feel the sunglass collection I found 5 in my van last week. I returned 3 to my house. Thankfully I am also a master packer. Enjoy your travato.

Thanks for sharing , and especially thanks for your interesting perspective on the van vs the RV. My wife and I have been talking about doing some RV-traveling and the Gemini is high n the list because of its AWD and volume (with the slides out). But you make some really interesting points that sometimes less is more. All the best on your travels.

We almost bought a Travato and ended up with a Class C Tiffin Wayfarer due to the wet bath! We LOVE our Tiffin Wayfarer and can’t ever imagine changing it. Good luck!

We can go literally anywhere!! And we have seen signs in some downtown areas that allow overnight parking for vehicles… so since we are in a van and not an ‘RV’ we can sleep anywhere!
You did good! I went from class c to a van and really enjoying it. Adjusting to smaller everything is sorta tuff but so doable. Enjoy your travels!

Woo-hoo, welcome to the van travel world! I mean my van isn't as fancy as yours lol, I travel in a minivan (mind you it does have bunk beds which is pretty cool). Vans make traveling so easy because they fit everywhere

Congratulations! We also purchased a Class B travel van(Airstream Interstate)for all the reasons you mentioned. We are travelers not necessarily campers. Staying put for more than 3 days in one place is hard for us lol. You are going to love all the adventures a smaller rv allows. Happy travels!!

The van is beautiful. I'm in the middle of chemo treatments and I would like nothing more than to be able to travel and get out. Great Job and love the van!!
We just went from Class C to a mostly non-converted camper van (older Ford Econoline Window Van sans back seats and has a built-up queen bed platform). Higher miles but oh so cheap and works in good condition. Will camp with the same feeling of tent camping and sleep in the van but do everything else outdoors. No boon-docking for now. Glad to see you have the new rig! Looks oh so nice! I am new to your site and really will enjoy your video adventures, tips and info. Best wishes with your camping rig.

Hope you love it. We have the same floor plan in the Thor Sequence. We got a Stowaway on a swingaway arm for the back hitch and we kept all of our outdoor stuff in that (since there isn’t any exterior storage) and it met all of our needs.
