      Hey Ron, thanks for all of this work! The Roland manual is so bad, without videos like this I'd be a bit lost. One thing I am still yet to figure out, and can't find any demos showing how, is scales. There seems to be a project scale and key, and then a track scale, and then also I think tone scales. I have no idea how all that works, certainly not how I'd expect. Like a project scale seems to have no effect on any tone track.
      Do you cover scales in any of your videos ❤

      @@RonCavagnaro haha, well if I figure it out I'll share the knowledge somewhere appropriate in the comments 😂. The Roland manual mentions the word "scale" exactly once. Maybe they don't know how it works either.

    I thought I could hold my own on the MC-707, but you showed me there's still a ton to learn. I can keep going back to this to expand my knowledge. Love the Boards of Canada vibes to the sounds you create. Thank you for the fantastic tutorial!

    That is a very fascinating tutorial, I've never seen anyone produce an experimental track like that before, it's usually a generic and predictive scenario. You've done something very leftfield and interesting... Spendid work.. And subscribed.

      MC 707 has the most smooth and non-button guessing workflow ever. This machine is greatly sophisticated and it seems that the guys behind it's development put a huge efford to make everything seem at the right spot\place.

    You can clear the motion with motion on+ turn knob.
    Also you dont need to activate motion rec in order to record motion. You can just turn a knob while you press motion rec.

    • @RonCavagnaro
      @RonCavagnaro  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes i illustrated that later in the video but didnt say it. I wanted to save a lot of the shortcuts for later episodes

    • @ionianechoes
      @ionianechoes 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @RonCavagnaro the motionrec+knob is so much more useful that I don't even see it as a shortcut anymore. It's the only way y record motion. Also if you dont do this you risk forgetting that you engaged motion rec in the first place. It's like the project saving shortcuts etc. You will never go back to the regular way of saving once you've used the machine after a while.
