    I lovd this video and thought it was perfect. Amazing climb, good music and intro, nice angles and drone photography, lighting even with reflectors (my dad works in media and points this stuff out). Crazy good! Thanks and keep it simple and spiritual Mr. Sharma.

    Such a beautiful area of France. Be sure to climb at Les Branches, just across the river from the Pont d' Arc. Tons of other crags nearby too. Take a canoe trip down the Ardeche river while you are there - superb!

    This was cool, but such a short video. And not much detail, obviously it's a spectacular feat, but I would like to see more climbing and detail. More close up of your technique and strength. How long were you on the wall? From start to finish? I'm sure lots of folks out here would watch a 2 hour video of you climbing. Give us more man!

      Have you ever been there? Pont d´arc is Huge. I´ve never heared that anyone did that. But on the other hand I´ve beeing told of deadly accidents. Theres plenty of unprofessional paddlers under this arch . But also it´s brutally high. One Year a Guy died jumping into the water. His body tension was a bit to low, his leg slightly bent. When diving in, he hit his knee with the forehead and drowned. It´s not the average 50ft. bridge, it´s a "Red Bull scenery". Ardeche is such a nice Place, it calms your cravings and clears your mind. Therefore it destroys the need for stupid extremes. Unfortunately not for everybody, but I guess Chris Sharma´s caught the spirit.

      Just making to the easy ground near the top is enough - that thing is massive, nearly 40m high at its peak!

    • @pieterveenders9793
      @pieterveenders9793 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just the highest point of the arch's underside is already 35m above water, let alone the top of the arch, which is 60m high. Scores of people have died jumping off of the arch, and they had prepared themselves for it, took their time and did their best to jump in the best way possible. But falling off in an uncontrolled manner like what happened several times during this video itself is even considerable more dangerous. So a very bad idea...

    Nice place, nice guy and amazing climb. In the 90s I was told climbing was forbidden on the arch. Maybe it was wrong, or it has changed, or Chris has asked permission. If you go, take info from the locals. From May to September, you may not find a square meter to fall between all the canoes. Anyway, there are so many crags a few km around...I love this vid.

      Downside to this : as a local, Vallon Pont-d’Arc has become more like a climbing tourism place in the last years, and it has lost its isolated “only known by the locals” quality. Now it’s so expensive to camp there that we sleep in our cars parked on hidden trails…

    It is cut... he jumped from about 15m into the Water and at the end he jumped from anywhere...and it was cut again...
    Chris Sharma videos always show the climbing harder than it is. big holdes are hidden, and the cut and perspective is strange - he looks very weak and with no colour, he always seems to be tired and ill.... i do not believe that he has any power... every one who is training and who has got a bit fresh air and sun is more powerful and more healthy in his appearance...
    I do not believe anything about climbing...

    Sharma, congratulations on this epic climb, mental, powerful, technical, beautiful, but...did you think about the vulnerability of this natural place? Already under the siege of french, european and worldwide tourists, who drain the local drinkable water, leave wastes all over the place and drive countless cars, consume immense quantities of non renewable energies...Pont d'Arc will just suffer a bit more from its fame without benefiting from any kind of responsable action, communication or thinking.
