Can Will Bosi Repeat Adam's 9a Route from 2007? | Adam Ondra

- When Will Bosi typed me a message that he was planning a trip to the Czech Republic and to visit my homecrag Moravský Kras (Moravian Karst), it took me a while to believe he really meant it. 2 months later, he quickly dispatched quick ascents of many of the hardest boulder problems, but I was especially curious about some of the routes. Sport climbing in Moravský Kras is usually even more weird, complex and beta-intense than local bouldering. Perla východu is a 9a that I first ascended when I was 14 years old and it hadn't seen a repetition. It is a proud line (trust me, it really is, unlike many other lines at my homecrag!) and Will had to put up a fight.
Watch the video about his visit and this particular route.
Thanks, William Bosi and Annaelle Duffield for the videos. Check Will's TH-cam channel to watch full videos of his climbs: @WilliamBosi

That 1-month tick list is absolutely insane 😳 Will is crushing everything this year
🏴🤝🇨🇿
Alien bloc in the house!.,🔥🤙🏻🏴
@@johnmortslleh2929 )/0!
Yeah, that list of routes and boulders sent in a month is incredible! Will is a beast !
Well he is of to a good start this year too xD
I believe Adam has one of the best sportmanship attitudes in the world. You can see that he's super competitive, but still very supportive for everyone, no matter who they are. We should all learn from him. It's not one against the other, it's us against the wall!
I really think it's because he's competitive only against his own abilities. He wants to see the sport be pushed as far as it can go
I absolutely agree - he's such an amazing idol for the sport!
10:16 that was so close, only just clipping the chain before his hand slips. Awesome!
Awesome to see Will getting featured on the channel! He's a crusher and seems an all around stand up guy :)
🏴🤝🇨🇿
@adamondra I have the perfect suggestion for you to get more Pro Climbers to try your routes! You invite Seb to come and in return you’re gonna try his routes in Ramirolles (DNA!)
Sending such a route at 14 y/o is just out of this world
No, it was an 8c route back then. So all cool.
@Adam , I know it's your channel, but it's really cool to see some other talented climbers here. Good for you! Congrats to Will, and keep the cool content flowing! Thank you.
Will is so underrated glad to see him here
Real "come over to my house and play?" vibes here.
Will is slowly becoming one of my favorite climbers to watch. Looks like an engineer, climbs like the machines he would be building
He climbs sometimes at the gym I go to in Edinburgh and he defo looks like an average guy, until he's on the wall.
Will went to my high school in Edinburgh, Scotland. Although we never spoke, I remember reading about his progress in competitions etc. in the school newsletter, probably 10 years ago now! Crazy to see how talented he is and how his career has progressed!
Excellent work Will and thanks to Adam for hosting him and so much great support!

Best bit of footage I’ve seen in ages!
Great to see big Willy slapping it about.
Great vid, hope there’s more with you two. 💪
adam is such a genuine guy, great vibes
You are such an inspiration my friend, keep the good work :) Nice video, nice editing, love it.
Amazing effort Will! Thanks Adam, helps a lot.
Tu humildad lo dice todo, por algo eres el escalador más completo hoy en día! Felicidades Adam!!!
Absolutely sick, well done Will!
Congratulations Adam to your win in
Chamonix, Lead-Worldcup. Well deserved
It felt so good to see him up there crushing it. Still the best.
Nice video Adam! good stuff getting Will on
His foot placement is so controlled and precise. Amazing technique
Another amazing Video! Great Content!
Awesome video, great vibes! i feel psyched now :D
Nice job Will and Adam some great climbs there !!
OMG the send song playing in the background when 14 year-old Adam climbs Perla východu is perrrrrrrrrfect!
Im definitely going to visit somewhere next week. Right now im on holiday in the Czech Republic and bouldering near Petrohrad. Very cool!
Absolutely inspiring. Wow!
Awsome!
So Nice to watch!
Love this! It must be so cool to finally share these routes and problems with someone. Any chance you will visit Will in the UK and check out some of his routes and boulders? You could also stop by the WideBoyz cellar and do some weird crack climbing in the peak district with them ;)
I've been hoping for a video of Adam (O-dog) visiting the wide boyz crack cellar for years now! Pete and Tom are such fans of him it'd be such a hype video! It'd be cool to see how well he'd do. As Pete said "...and we all now Adam can jam"
You both got your crack cellar dream come true 😄
Adam and Will are just cool as hell 🤙 Good vibes
i 100% think other pros are scared of adam and this area in peticular
just think about how quickly king capella and bibliographie were repeated
The videography on this channel these days is amazing.
It*s your place Adam! What a pride) Great video!
Brilliant film!
The rope drag must have made it at least a grade harder!
Has Adam not discovered using long slings? Lol
I hadn't heard of Will before this video but I will be watching him going forward. 14 years old. Wtf, that's ridiculous.
Me: struggles to take shirt off standing calmly in my room
Will: takes shirt off mid 9a route
I think this route is a great show of Adams Strengths. Its reachy and flexy simultaneously.
This looks like a great time
Great job
Will was on the latest episode of the Careless Talk climbing podcast which was great. He spoke about comp climbing which was really interesting 👍🏻
OMG when i first saw the thumbnail i thught it was a poster for a game , good job photographer❤
20th XD
Would love to see more content with you and Will :D
Good job!
UNREAL! He's a monster.
Well done Will☃️
"Hopefully this rout get upgraded and I don't feel so weak" ... said the guy who just climbed a 9A ^^
Very impressive.
felicidades lo hiciste !!!!
AWESOME!!! :)
Sweet!
Awesome!
ah yes, Adam doing a 9a at 14 years of age...
I want to see him climbing "Tanec Kuřátek" :D
skvělé.diky
@Adam challenge Magnus to do some of your routes in an other collab. That would be amazing!
this is an insane video
Brilliant
you are a good team, I like it!!!!!!
Great video, rare footage. How about some more stuff about Perlorodka? Adam said it was a route he worked on the most so sth special. It's of course unrepeated and the video "A few forgotten routes" by Bernartwood got deleted so there's no more footage online. Unless sb downloaded it from v. and can reupload (pretty please).

Perlorodka is a 9a+ that I first ascended in 2011, and it shares the start with Perla vychodu and then it goes straight. Will tried it very briefly, and we will definitely hear more about it as I have been trying a 9b+ variation into it. I want to finish it in the autumn, now it is too hot. If you write “Adam Ondra A few forgotten routes” on TH-cam, you will get the result you want.
Adam
Good video
Pelo pelo eh✊️✊️🤟,le migliori. Grande Will Bosy
Can you do a video of you repeating all the routes you did as a teenager and talk through any changes in your beta due to your adolescent body
Cool!
nice!!
Baddest nerds on the planet...C'mon, Adam is a masculine Screech...
Stay safe gentlemen. The stuff you do is frigging amazing.
Jseš hodně dobrej lezec pokračuj v horolezectví😀
As a scot this is class🏴
10:41 what's the difference between flash and first go in bouldering?
When you try some moves/sequences it cannot be a flash. For flash you can touch the holds but no trying of the actual moves...
I consider a send a "1st go" instead of OS/flash when before the send I try the holds of the problem, even those that are not reachable from the ground, potentially hang on them to feel how good they are etc. :)
EDIT: I wonder if it would still count as a "1st go" when you try individual moves of the problem separately before the send go. I believe so? Maybe thats what Will did but don't know...
Flash is first go but you're allowed beta (information about how to do the climb, like watching someone else do it, or someone telling you which holds or moves to do), Onsight is first go and you don't have any more information apart from what you can see from the ground. Often in bouldering there's not much difference between the two so people sometimes only use flash.
@@DaleTurrell That's standard, but in the final list of Bosi's ascents it says "1st go" for one of the 8a+ boulders instead of flash
@@ricato2 Most probably it shares the same start or ending with another problem he already did before.. so can't claim flash because he already climbed on it. But was the 1st go for that problem.. hope this makes sense :)
Haven't watched yet but...yes
try Ramonet non-repeated climbing routes.🌝
WOWIIEEEE
I wonder how it felt having someone climb his own routes. It would be interesting to hear his true, unfiltered thoughts.
People are so mind blown they forget to like Adam's vids :D
over 50k views are usuall in one day , yet not many people like it compared to views
What does FA mean in the list at the end?
First ascent. A route not redpointed before, or even also set up by Will.
@@leoingson Ah, I see. Thank you very much!
Will Will's will be strong enough to climb in Czechia?
Seb Bouin and you, same fight for getting FAs repeated ?
Poor Will - must be hard to struggle in 9a
7:30 what happends with the quickdraws :S
a 14 yo decided to make a line, lol
Adam how can I do my first 9a at 14years old if I’m already 17 years old and still didn’t send a 7a
עדי ברק כתב לא מתן
You don't, just give up and start a more dangerous hobby like tiddlywinks
Adam isnt the guy warming up on your project he skips it entirely😅
1:30 His fingers are really impressive
It’s crazy to think after 15 years, he’s advanced only perhaps two grades from 9a-9c, he was already such a beast at 14!
It's 4 grades though. And it gets exponentially harder.
Also never underestimate kid crushers. They got all the energy in the world!
💪🏻👏🏻👏🏻
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🙌🏻
💟
Is Adam a bit rough on the gas pedal or what??
It looks like so much fun riding in those European cars. 😂
👍👍
Yaaaaasssss
🏴🤝🇨🇿
Just did my first 7a+ i started climbing 3 months aga
I am super happy😃
Climbs a 9A, says he was afraid to seem weak. Sure
honestly, title would be so much better if it was only "Will Bosi Repeat Adam's 9a Route from 2007? | Adam Ondra", this name has so much potential for word-play
Will he or will'nt he?
it is a pity that more climbers don't come try your routes!
DNAAAAAA
Awesome video but that was mad awkward when he got in the car 💀💀
Hes got the cut on his knuckle from the last record
