Might go to Thailand just to hear the staff greet me in their language lol. In other countries in east asia, it’s rare for me to get a greeting in their language when I go to the airport due to me not looking like an East Asian. I did tour Cambodia this past week, and I managed to get a lady working at the airport restaurant yesterday to say “thank you” in her language by me saying “thank you” in her language lol. Her English was decent so I wouldn’t be surprised if she responded back in English.
You have to try out Thailand! They are constantly mixing English with Thai 😅
@@a350 I had been to Bangkok 6 years ago. Most of the staff didn’t know English, but back then, I didn’t really pay attention to greetings like now.
Yeah, occasionally in vietnam and Cambodia, I got hi, thank you, and the word “massage” in their languages.
In Sydney, in rare cases, I get Thai greetings, but it’s uncommon due to English being the language here.
