Thai Lion Air or Nok Air? I tried them BOTH. Flight Review!

  • Flight Review No. …?
On my recent travels I tested two of the Low Cost Carriers in Thailand: Thai Lion Air and Nok Air. Both flights were between Bangkok and Chiang Mai, and both on Boeing 737-800's, on the same day. The rating and score is purely based on my experience of one flight with each airline, and not necessarely an overall statement of value for each airline, merely a personal option and impression of that day. Nevertheless, it should give you at least an indication of what to expect. Enjoy :-)

5:54 Nice! On Thai lion air you actually saw the plane you were gonna board on Nok air. How lucky!

I've tried various carriers for transferes from BKK to CNX over 20 years, but more recently I've been using Bangkok Airways - who fly out of Swampy.
I've found them to be pretty good (plus they have a basic lounge even for economy passengers, and a fancier one next door if you have a long enough window to justify spending a bit extra).

Thank you for the comment. I quite like Bangkok Air. Did you know, if you happen to have priority pass, Bangkok Air will even grant you access into their Business Club Lounge. Tried it last week:) Btw, I‘ll publish a comparison between Bangkok Air and Thai Smile soon. Not without surprises;-)

No i haven't been flown with these two airlines at all. i always pick either THAI (smile) or Bangkok airways for domestic flights in Thailand. BTW i noticed picture quality of this video is exquisite, very sharp and crisp. i am now going through your vids i missed. Until next clip. Cheers 👍☺

How ever , I cheer Thai Lion Air because they've improved many thing such as Kiosk Check in (CUSS) , New Airplane (Old Airplane from Lion Air HQ at Indonesia) always come to they fleet , varies International destination but cost still cheapest (No hide cost from tax and credit card fee but included from Website)
