Semi true but not 100%. The reason for it being the end of the game was because the police stopped us before the game from going in there ( if you went to the 74-75 match you might remember our whole special went in to The Kop, but not a good ending that day for us) and when the gates opened 15 minutes from the end, we left went in the Kop all the Birmingham ran when the Police tried to round us up we ran out before being captured the Birmingham fans behind the police.
@user-hk2el1th7q it's the 5-1 game evening game 79-80 season if Jason is talking about a different game then I apologise for getting mixed up. As I mentioned in my comment 74-75, their mob did a job on us for sure. It was in the days before police escorts and we walked from New Street to ground singing etc them mob in The Kop called us in ( you could see them from outside the ground ) when I got into the ground with my mate our let had melted away. We stood down the front on our own.
@@barryosborne8147 No worries mate. When I referred to "Barry" it was the Blues' fan's account in the video (Blues, of course, being Birmingham 🙂). The accounts in the video suggest Chelsea went in before the start of the match, stayed a good while, with it ending with fighting on the pitch. This differs from your account and the account of the person you were replying to, which is that Chelsea ventured in near the end of the game. So whether it was a different match who knows?
What a load of bollox, I was there that night and towards the end of the game about 30 Chelsea fans ran into the back of the Kop through the open gates, they got absolutely battered, there was no pitch invasion and there certainly wasn't 200 of them and in those days the away fans were at the opposite end to the clock. This all came after Chelsea fans arriving at New Street station got got a real kicking. To say they got in through the turnstiles is laughable. Also the Zulus weren't active til about 1982 ish so another load of bullshit.
Was at the game and they came in at the KOP corner and that's where the families stood it lasted about 5 minutes tops , outside Chelsea ran we chased them past the Greenway pub so not quite accurate what was said , Zulus didn't exist then.
United shared it one season,it was tough to stay there, eventually old Bill made a barrier and kept us separated the whole match, both sides threw objects back and forth to each other and there was more fights outside going back to new street,if I remember rightly it was late 70s🤔👹
@@huwjones739 - seriously huw , who told you that ?😀 I didnt miss many games , standing in the kop in 70s ...spurs never came in there . I remember on game 78 ? ...lots of trouble, but spurs were in the Tilton ( behind the goal ) ...always rated spurs though
@@mickfoskett6629 - they didn't share it ...they were given it , that was the away allocation ....I can remember wolves - Middlesborough ( fa cup ) ..man utd , to name a few . What a load of bs ....i was there 1 - the zulus didnt even exist then Blues were just an unorganised mob then . I never saw chelsea in the kop ...never . They came in the cattell rd ( kop corner ) - and lasted less than 5 mins ...they got run out ...just as celtic did when tried it . In the 70s and 80s away fans were given a 3rd of the kop , at the railway end . No one ever came in the blues section of the kop to my knowledge ...that includes man utd and celtic . Chelsea were actually given the other side of the titon ( behind the goal ) that night . Yes they did come in the cattell rd ...probably 200 strong , but didnt make it ,30 yards . I dont usually post , but yhis clip is nonsense
Didn't Blues introduce a segregated section for away fans in the Tilton (next to the main stand) from 1977/78 season onwards? That's where I always went as a visiting supporter from my first visit that season. I'm surprised there would have been another section on the terracing elsewhere after that.
@@RaymondFaulkner-e7h - thats right - but that night ,a mob of Chelsea left the ground and came in the corner of the kop ( cattell rd ) ....man utd had tried it ...villa had tried it.....same result ...they got run out . Not by the blues fans , pre zulu , who were next to Chelsea in the Tilton, but by ordinary fans , stood in the kop ( halfway line ) . I saw them come in . There was an initial shock . They were about 50 yds away , but they didn't get very far . They were run , down to pitch side, and out of the ground . Never saw anyone in the blues section of the kop in the 70s
The home end is the tilton and Chelsea went into the spion kop where older fans go, they soon got their little bums kicked out.
Ha ha Birmingham weren’t much. Never even went to the bridge 🤷
I think they were known as apex then
Thear name wasn't zulus in them days so thats load balloney😂
One rough place St Andrews back in the day
I was in the stand by the clock, railway end and must have been in another world as I can't remember seeing the trouble!
A night game..
They came in the kop at the END of the game..
Got ran out after about 5 minutes
Yeah, more proper bullshit from this channel. Added to that the Zulus didn't form until 1982, laughable account.

Well, this is a totally different account to what "Jason" and "Barry" recall. Would this be the same match?

Wouldn’t believe anything that muppet Jason Marriner says
The Zulus was not around in them days, and they were down near the pitch lashing out at women and kids and pensioners typical London thugs .
They started in the old aged pensioners side which was the clock side not the middle of the cop wear every head was
Remember that well
Really??
I was there, it never happened.
Yeah Chelsea got in when the kids and there parents were in there
