    Todas las ceremonias que se hacen en la iglesia ortodoxa son bellas pero esta es una de mis favoritas. En el caso particular de lo que ahí se presenta es exquisito divino.

      They exist in every orthodox church. Only in the monasteries, especially on mount Athos, do they move them this way. It's a really old tradition, coming from our Byzantine heritage.

    • @TheMistAnchorite
      @TheMistAnchorite  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@halcyonzenith4411 because it dark helps us pray better and it produces melatonine. Plus it sais in the Biblie to keep vigil for expecting Christ whom we do not know when He will come

    (Ier 51:17) Atunci, orice om se vede cât este de prost cu știința lui, orice argintar rămâne rușinat de chipurile lui cioplite, căci idolii lui nu sunt decât minciună și n-au nicio suflare în ei!

      The chandelier can be moved by people.
      Best wishes from the city of St. Demetrius.

    (20:3) Să nu ai alți dumnezei afară de Mine.
    (20:4) Să nu-ți faci chip cioplit, nici vreo înfățișare a lucrurilor care sunt sus în ceruri sau jos pe pământ sau în apele mai de jos decât pământul.
    (20:5) Să nu te închini înaintea lor și să nu le slujești, căci Eu, Domnul Dumnezeul tău, sunt un Dumnezeu gelos, care pedepsesc nelegiuirea părinților în copii până la al treilea și la al patrulea neam al celor ce Mă urăsc

      thank you mr protestant, these are not graven images, they are images of jesus and the saints and the worship is to God and to them, also we stole ikons from jews so go tell them this

      The Roman Catholic church has statues, not the Orthodox!

    • @InfraPrimal

      Go ahead and read Exodus 25:10-20
      Have them make an ark[a] of acacia wood-two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.[b] 11 Overlay it with pure gold, both inside and out, and make a gold molding around it. 12 Cast four gold rings for it and fasten them to its four feet, with two rings on one side and two rings on the other. 13 Then make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. 14 Insert the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry it. 15 The poles are to remain in the rings of this ark; they are not to be removed. 16 Then put in the ark the tablets of the covenant law, which I will give you.
      “Make an atonement cover of pure gold-two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide. 18 And make two cherubim out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover. 19 Make one cherub on one end and the second cherub on the other; make the cherubim of one piece with the cover, at the two ends. 20 The cherubim are to have their wings spread upward, overshadowing the cover with them. The cherubim are to face each other, looking toward the cover.”
      Also your taking this out of context; its about worshipping images, God doesn’t ban images in general

      It happens in big celebrations on mount Athos. Christmas, Easter etc. Pure Byzantine, greek orthodox worship of God. For centuries,the same holy procedure.
