@groyper1177 you totally didn't watch the video or understand the message. Orthodox or Roman are both Catholic. We have some misunderstandings like he mentioned back in that time. However, we both have bishops, priests, beacons, both have the sacraments and have the Jesus in the Eucharist. We are brothers and sisters. Because the schism was so long ago traditions have changed, but the core is the same.

Orthodox are the first protestant not Martin Luther. Jesus did not say his churches but he say his "church." Matthew 28:20 I Will Be with You Always Even Unto The End of The World. Jesus church will be forever! And in Matthew 16 verse 18? “The Gates of Hell Shall Not Prevail against It” means that death and evil will not permanently overpower the Church." If you Orthodox believe that Catholic are not in line with the teaching of Jesus its like saying that Jesus is a liar. You orthodox once upon a time you belong to the Catholic church. The move is on the Pope to abdicate many of the powers that the first Pope granted himself when he split from the other patriarchs at the time. Until then the Catholic Church will not unit as it will not get rid of its Papacy structure in which the Pope is the head of the church. There is only one true religion which is the Orthodox Church.

John 15:26: "But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me." John 14:15-17 also backs this position up. Filioque is wrong. This is one of the major items Orthodox and RCC split on.
@tonyks4777 And? That's not relevant to the procession of the Holy Spirit. He said He and the Father were one, not the same. How can they be the same, they separate persons. Go read the original creed, the roman Catholic Church took a unilateral decision to change it thus breaking the example of church governance given in acts 15 where all leaders of the church meet to arrive at a conclusion as guided by the Holy Spirit. It's not a minor point. The Pope voted himself to the position of the top of the church hierarchy and then started changing long held doctrines. That's why the east west schism happened, the reasons for it are as valid today as they were in 1054
I’m Protestant and I absolutely love and connect with Bishop Mari’s sermons. We all have more in common than our differences. Jesus Christ is our salvation.
We are not nearly as similar to prostestants as you may imagine. Only Catholics, all Orthodoxy people and assyrians can be unified since they have a lot more things in common.

Having been a Protestant, Lutheran, for 50 years and now a member of the One True Apostolic Church, Orthodoxy, I can tell you that there is nothing that we, Eastern Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox, have in common with protestantism. Protestantism is drowned by its origin, catholicism.

Now it is a philosophical question however back then the church leaders created those different approaches to justify their quest for power ( mainly Constantinople vs Rome). Rome was the church established by Peter and Constantinople crowned emperors , it is not divine questions but human hubris that caused the schism and facilitated the islamic expansion of the following centuries.

There is no hatred between true catholics and orthodox Christians. Their may be people who think there's is the right religion but I wouldn't say to think this, that this is hatred. Recently i went through a youtube comment a pastor from india shared his testimony ,i was intrested so looked for his contact so i ended up finding his number and called him. What a life people are living for christ in these countries the man is almost losing everything but not his faith was beaten up by people separated from family no home to live but still strong on faith. He prayed for me on a phone call and i got healed right away of my knee issues and started walking praise god for men like him

American Catholic here - I love how authentic and respectful he is when he refers to the various churches as "our beloved" because yes, like a brother who is different from us physically, we are all unified through Christ! I'm a Lebanese Maronite Catholic. We also consider Jesus to be an Oqnoom, one of the the three Aqaneem (plural) (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), and each is one person. Exactly like you mentioned in this video. Our language is also based on Aramaic. The Catholic and Orthodox churches over here are identical in faith and we work together in everything, each has its own traditions and styles. I don't think we should unite these things because they're both beautiful.
See how many rites there are within/in union with the Papacy - Rome encourages the retention and practices of all cultural ways of worship that are authentic, reverent - it does not try to strip away the beautiful cultural differences but honors them. Unification does not mean loss of the individual cultures or faithful practices of religion.
I don't know why Mar Mari Emmanuel was excommunicated from the service before. The videos all about him also run across the social medias despite of being a non-Catholic preacher, I have no issues about him. He sounds so detailed and clear, and I have no words to say. As a strong and unshaken Catholic Faithful, I have also debated an Orthodox theologian disputing against the Immaculate Conception with hateful and disparaging treatment against the Catholic Church even though he never proved all his claims, but I still treat him as a brother. He was so hateful to me since I am a devout Catholic Faithful and I have my endless duty to defend my faith at all costs, but when we try to decipher these two faiths, none of it really differs. It is still the same but it only had issues in theological concepts. This priest for me is a peacemaker and brilliant. He knows the ecclesial history wee, what does Christianity means and what does the root problems that builds barrier against with each other in just same faith. Our Lord Jesus Christ urges us not to have divisions and nonsense hateful remarks and arguments within the theological understanding about the beliefs because the important there is we obtain the grace from the traditions that has passed down from the LORD, to Apostles, the Church Fathers, down to these days until the end of the days. The move is on the Pope to abdicate many of the powers that the first Pope granted himself when he split from the other patriarchs at the time. John 15:26: "But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me." John 14:15-17 also backs this position up. Filioque is wrong. This is one of the major items Orthodox and RCC split on.

What a life people are living for christ in these countries the man is almost losing everything but not his faith was beaten up by people separated from family no home to live but still strong on faith. I'm sorry...😢 Mariology, Purgatory, Transubstiation, Infallibility of the Pope, Eschatology is a wreck, Priests can't be married, Saint and icon worship, praying to and for the dead... On and on and on. The only good thing that came out of the so called Mother church was the Nicene Creed and the preservation of the shroud...I do have to say they also have done some good with helping the poor and pro life movement..

I'm a Lebanese Maronite Catholic. We also consider Jesus to be an Oqnoom, one of the the three Aqaneem (plural) (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), and each is one person. Exactly like you mentioned in this video. Our language is also based on Aramaic. The Catholic and Orthodox churches over here are identical in faith and we work together in everything, each has its own traditions and styles. I don't think we should unite these things because they're both beautiful.
See how many rites there are within/in union with the Papacy - Rome encourages the retention and practices of all cultural ways of worship that are authentic, reverent - it does not try to strip away the beautiful cultural differences but honors them. Unification does not mean loss of the individual cultures or faithful practices of religion.
I don't know why Mar Mari Emmanuel was excommunicated from the service before. The videos all about him also run across the social medias despite of being a non-Catholic preacher, I have no issues about him. He sounds so detailed and clear, and I have no words to say.
As a strong and unshaken Catholic Faithful, I have also debated an Orthodox theologian disputing against the Immaculate Conception with hateful and disparaging treatment against the Catholic Church even though he never proved all his claims, but I still treat him as a brother. He was so hateful to me since I am a devout Catholic Faithful and I have my endless duty to defend my faith at all costs, but when we try to decipher these two faiths, none of it really differs. It is still the same but it only had issues in theological concepts.
This priest for me is a peacemaker and brilliant.
He knows the ecclesial history wee, what does Christianity means and what does the root problems that builds barrier against with each other in just same faith.
Our Lord Jesus Christ urges us not to have divisions and nonsense hateful remarks and arguments within the theological understanding about the beliefs because the important there is we obtain the grace from the traditions that has passed down from the LORD, to Apostles, the Church Fathers, down to these days until the end of the days.

If you knew ancient greek you could understand that
PROCIPON or PROCEPHONE is called PROSOPO (ΠΡΟΣΩΠΟ) in Greek and means PERSON in English.
So Catholics say Jesus is two natures, one person it's the same with Eastern Orthodox two physis, one prosopo.
Also HYPOSTASIS (ΥΠΟΣΤΑΣΗΣ) is the same with PROCIPON or PROCEPHONE (PROSOPO) aka = PERSON. HYPOSTASIS means existence, being, entity, person.
