- The first song of the EP is based on the Hymiskviða in the Poetic Edda. It’s a song about the famous story of the God Thor and the giant Hymir who went on a fishing trip and came across the Midgard Serpent Jörmungandr.

I don't know what I can say about this song.
It fills me with a sense of longing; as if I need to head home. To my true home, whereever it might be.
At the same time, I feel confident in my purpose and self-assured that, one day, I'll discover what the reason for this strange longing might be. I see all that defines this world - light, dark, or something else entirely - and accept that it is part of our existance.
The only thing I can say for certain is that I absolutely love this song. It is marvelous how you can turn "simple" poems into works of wonder.

This song is beautifully enchanting. Languages like Old Norse and Gaelic have such a musical sound to them, and I must say your voice compliments the lyrical content perfectly. I've been creating a fantasy world as a basis for storytelling, and one of the creatures I've including in the lore is derived from Jormungandr. Any time I write a story which mentions him, I'll turn this song on.
Gaelic sounds musical because I think they used to always rhyme their sentences at one point, basically putting everything into verse

Found this music through a mod for Crusader Kings 2 as I like playing around Britain and Scandinavia this gave a feeling of a closing of a chapter an end of Rome and feelings of safety and instead feeling of a darkness rising of chaos taking hold of world.

There is a german poem, "Trutz, blanke hans" from 1883, Detlev von Liljencron. Its about the rich city Rungholt in mediaval times,which sunk in the north sea after a violent storm, which changed the whole coastline and killed thousands of people. He described the wrath and endless power of the Northsea with an ancient, gigantic creature, wose body reached around the seas, sleeping deep on the ground, and whose slow breath makes the tides. And evertime the beast takes a very deep breath and moves, the seas are rising to incredibly power and destroying everything in its path. I love the north sea, rough and two faced she is, and while reading this poem, I ve thought of Jormungandr. The sheer power of the sea, ancient, untamed, uncontrollable, uncaring and unaware about the tiny humans above him. It changed my somehow abstract view of Jörmungandr. Some people are saying, Hymir was a coward as he cut the line between Thor and the Serpent. I think, he was the one who truly understood who their opponent was.

I slept for few second. I saw a dream with a gigantic snake attacking men under some ship machinery area maybe, tearing up gums just above teeth and adding venom inside and stitching it up again and then someone kicked the snake out and I woke.
Amazing how me without reading the lyrics at all, saw this dream and then I ran to check the lyrics in English and there was a snake attack in the music.

Harmony is the most important thing to me. I don't feel like lyrics are important to tell the story (lyrics either add some value to the music or destroy the song).
