Yes it is. There are differences between regions, such as east and west....but each of them has its roots deep into history. The purest forms of worship can be seen in Traditional Catholic churches, Greek orthodox churches, Russian orthodox churches, Syriac churches, etc.

I am a hindu from india . In my country Christians are considered as 2nd largest minority after muslims . I visited church , witnessed many Christians but all of them were either catholic or protestants , evangelists . Some of them are accused of proselytisation of disbelievers . Orthodox Christians are very rare in my country . But orthodoxy entices me a lot .
This video is so satisfying , pleasant to hear out those holy chants from the monks . I love their monasticism , their celibacy , spirituality . It feels that I am very close to the redemption from all mischievous and sacrilegious deeds . We the mundane people will never understand the celestial ecstasy they enjoy there .
I anticipate that I will visit there once in my life. I am 24 . Pray for me so that I can attend the holy prayer there .

I am non-religious, but the Eastern Orthodox faith is beautiful!
I wish everyone could see and witness the true greatness of orthodoxy. Not just because of the great hymns of byzantin music and the perfectly organized liturgy, but because orthodoxy isn’t a religion, it’s a way of life. You are born orthodox and live orthodox. And this directly refers to spending every single moment to Christ and to include him in everything you do.
I wish that everyone could see how orthodoxy can cleanse the soul and purify it in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit.
I wish everyone could understand the true meaning of all the liturgies and how they are placed and what do they represent.
I wish that everyone could understand that the Orthodox church is the only church today that has kept the traditions and that only Christ is its founder (not any king or pope) and that the holy spirit is the one making it function.
I wish that everyone could behold this blessing and live with it for the rest of our days☦️☦️☦️☦️☦️☦️

With gods grace, one day this will happen. One or two of the monasteries have roots in southern Italy, around Naples & Amalfi which were both under Constantinople at one time. Let’s pray for the re unification of all Christian denominations which is needed to combat the forces of evil & the false religions.

Eastern Orthodox Easter is next Sunday, April 19th. This was a small compilation of the various services throughout Holy Week, culminating with Resurrection service on Holy Saturday night. For now we say Kali Anastasi. On Easter we sing Christos Anesti. Christ has Risen.

I would love to visit Mount Athos one day, especially during Easter. I've visited many Orthodox monasteries in Greece, and have never felt as close to the divine and holiness as I do there. There is a beauty in Orthodoxy that always shines through, whether the Divine Liturgy takes place in a beautifully decorated church or monastery, or a sparsely decorated recently converted community center, like our recently established parish.

@JL-CptAtom The First time they tried to make it entertaining by turning it into like a lucrative spectacle club for men. Typical of the Western way of thinking. Did it by trying to show Mount Athos as an exclusive Secret Treasure Island by exposing one of the Monks who had the key access to the historical Icon Archives , and they were asking political questions about the Governance of the Monasteries , and they were even kind of poking fun at the way of life and Spirituality of the Monks....some of the commentators remarks were a little snide and were obviously out to make things a little incredulous to make ratings.....
I thought they did all right the first time. It's the ignorant heretics and atheists trolling the comment sections that were a problem to dealt with.
