Wicked cushions are my fav. I was waiting for these. Hopefully you guys will make the gel cooled ones as well.
We are working on some!
@@WickedCushionsdo you have an estimate as to when they will be out? Thanks in advance.
@@WickedCushions instantly decided to wait for the cooling to come out. Wickeds are almost always a straight upgrade on every headphone
I've replaced the pads on about 5 sets of headphones with WC pads, I'd rate these as being the most tricky to get on, that is just the design Sony went with, but it takes a little bit more persistence and patience.
Worth it though, these days I literally just order the WC pads same day as I order the headphones.
THANK YOU for the support. These are indeed tricky to remove & install
Stumbled on this video while trying to put on some really crappy slipovers I'd bought, definitely made me decide I'll just be ordering from your store instead, thanks!
You welcome!
I just want to give a shootout to this excellent replacement earpads. I was about to return the headphones because with the original ones I had pain in the ears very quick but I came across this product and decided to give it a try, and the difference is night and day, I can remain with the headphones indefinite time during the day without pain! great job! cheers!.
Glad you like them!
Came here after watching the sponsor segment on a recent LTT video. These look great, but I'm after the gel cooling pads as I sleep with my XM5s and in summer my ears get hot like hell. Oh and also I'm waiting for these to be made available on Amazon AU!
No plans for that yet, but maybe down the line!
I used plastic pry triangles, since they're thin plastic and the housing is plastic. Much better than using metal and having the possibility of scratching, though tbh Sony should've not cheaped out on those hooks. Good tutorial, it went super smoothly.
Glad it worked out
thanks for the explanation...
You're welcome
Hope you guys make a cooling gel variant for these Headphones! I bought these and am already loving the premium feel of it, would love to see how the cooling gel ones work on these headphones!
We might down the line!
I second this! @@WickedCushions
Will you guys be making a Silver colour variant for these headphones? I only see Black or Blue on Amazon for the stock OEM colours.
We did, its just out of stock at the moment and should be back shortly
When will you release pads for the Sony 910N and 720N?
No plans for that yet
Are these good for sweat protection or would you suggest the covers instead of a whole cushion replacement?
These will not protect from sweat, these are just replacements.
Our sweat covers is the only thin that will protect from sweat
Is there gonna be a cooling gel version of the XM5 pads?
(And on the side note, i believe many would trade the play/pause detection for added thickness, because sony strangely insists to give all their wh1000x line a shallow earpad where people’s ears would always press onto the inside foam. Yet this strange design choice of having a thick foam instead of leaving some room for the ears is hardly found on any other headphones even from sony’s itself. So its a particularly serious complaint on the all 1000x models.)
Not on the plans yet. And from our experience, when the features are affected because of the earpads - people go nuts.
@@WickedCushionsi disabled the function one week into using the headphones 😂 i'd most definitely trade the play/pause feature with thicker cups!
Hopefully WC doesn't mind me mentioning, since they are not making a gel version....I bought and like the cooling gel earpads for the xm5 from a brand called Soulwit. Found on amazon
Hey, thanks for the video. This was my first time switching cushions from any pair of headphones, so I was a little concerned about getting the old ones off and sound quality/noise cancellation getting altered. Overall I'm very satisfied with your product, it feels just as comfortable as the old cushions and on top of that, the sound quality and noise cancellation are just as good, probably even better! I'll be leaving a review on Amazon shortly.
This might be a dumb question, but do the SweatZ covers also fit over your cushions? Thank you!
Yes! the xm5 sweatz we have fit those perfectly
@@WickedCushions Nice, thanks!!
Hey i need to replace my ear pads on my xm5 but some people are saying the noise cancellation is effected is that true? and is there warranty like if it does i can get a replacement or refund?
If you feel like the NC is affected, keep the originals and return ours - we offer a full refund.
Hey man, I love the product but I have an issue where it messes with the wear detection sensor causing it to inactivate while they’re on my head or not at all, do you know how to fix this?
Are you sure that ALL hooks of the pad are securely in place? it sounds like a problem that will happen from it being not fully installed
im waiting gel cooled ones i will buy for sure
Maybe in the future
I have big ears, and i would love to you make a pair with slightly larger inner dimensions, also slightly deeper. I would even pay a premium for a better fabric material, just take my money please!
This is what we did with this cushion, just minus the fabric part. Fabric will elimnate the NC almost completely
Can you teach How change ear pad of QCY H3?
Not familiar with this headset I am sorry
Will I be able to put the originals back on?
Yes
How is the ANC affected with these ear pads?
Hey, so far we only have 3 reviews on amazon. Non of them have mentioned any change in NC.
Personally, we did not notice a difference as well.
We do however offer a full refund if you feel that it did affect it.
Hi do u ship to Singapore?
Currently only through purchasing on amazon.com
Please release the extra thick for xm5 in more colours 🥺I'd love to have cute pastel pinks or mints! All of these designs are not very cute and feel masculine or too busy. Solid colours is fine, just more options for which colours to choose from!
We will in the future! right now they are not very popular :(
a geo gray that has the silvery beige accents instead of black accents would be a good alternative color for people with the silver model
Thats a nice idea actually, might work on that this year
Just got a set of the "Geo Grey" for my xm5's from Amazon(Canada) and the design is partially peeling off straight out of the bag before I've even got to use them 😢
Received a pair with a broken clip but support helped me out and got another pair shipped out within 24 hours.
Quick turn around, thanks so much for making it as painless as possible
Hey, I think we addressed this and sent you a new one, you are the same person from the twitter post right?
@@WickedCushions 100% Fixed up (Or at least package in the mail!)
Let me edit my previous post to make that clear.
Can’t find beige ones anymore. Any time soon?
Where are you located? it might just be temporary out of stock for your location

hi there @WC i think you should place a *warning* ⚠ to your viewers at the beginning of the video, because this morning when i followed your instructions to remove the ear pads to clean them (using a toothbrush and isopropyl alcohol) i ruined my right speaker/microphone
i wear my headphones every day, i use them for both music and noise cancelling, and now my $550 (AU) headphones are ruined. after returning the ear cups i noticed a strange vibration from the right ear cup. upon testing i have determined there is a fault with the right ear cup microphones, whereby certain bass frequencies are re-transmitted to the speaker coil as incorrect higher frequencies, which cause a terrible buzzing. it is very strange. well i am not sure if the fault is with the mic or with the speaker itself but it's one of the two
i followed all your instructions to the minute detail: "not sharp butter knife", "not too much pressure", "very slowly", "not from one side" etc. *exactly* like your video. i only use a soft bristle toothbrush and alcohol to clean my headphones. but now they are ruined
i am not sure if it is the removing+replacing of the ear pads that ruined the mic/speaker, or, if it was the toothbrush with the alcohol, but i sure as hell won't be doing something like this myself ever again, not worth the risk
this is not the first time that i have self-serviced (cleaned) sony earphones; i did it with the XM3 and XM4 before and it caused no damage. maybe the XM5 is more delicate. i am always extremely careful i have been servicing my personal electronics for over 20 years
i really do think that some sort of warning should be placed at the start of your videos, to alert your viewers that serious/permanent damage can occur when removing the cushions. your language makes it sound like it's "very easy" to do, yes, but also maybe very easy to damage? maybe it was just 'bad luck' for my unit
well, i'm not sure how many others damaged their headphones by doing this, but i do really think a warning could help people decide of they want to take it to a store to get it done safely
just my 2c, thanks for reading
Sounds like a freak accident to me more likely, we have not heard of this happen yet to anyone from removing earpads.
Unless you dropped some liquid inside, I can't think of any reason
LOL YEAH TOTALY NOT YOUR FAULT. JUST LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE IN YOUR LIFE SOMEONE ELSE IS TO BLAME
When will this be available in India
Eventually yes
Why they no copy apple magnetic earpad snap on
Ask them
Mine isn’t coming out wtf?
@Wicked Cushions what should I do
You just need to take the time and find the right leverage, there is no ear pad that is not going to come out.
You dont diliver in India 😢
Eventually these will be in amazon india
