Update: After about 3 years, the Wicked Cushions have finally started showing signs of peeling on the faux leather. I've used these pads daily on my Steelseries Arctis Pro and IMO it's a pretty good investment for the price.
You know that you can just fit the back lip of the cushions to the little notch on the headset, and just twist around....makes much easier to apply the cushions and its about 5 seconds. Just saying ;)
I've had both and prefer the Wicked Cushions. Both are nice but personally I found the Brainwavz changed the sound signature more than I like. Most likely due to them being slightly thicker.
Wish I'd seen this sooner. I bought some Wicked Cushions for my Arctis Pro Wireless, as so many people had recommended them as an upgrade, and said they were bigger than the stock cushions. As soon as I opened the bag I could immediately see a problem. Sure, the ear pads are larger in total size... but the ear opening is actually *smaller* than the stock Arctis ear pads! The Wicked Cushions have a ridiculously narrow ear opening. Who has ears that tiny? Very disappointing... It's clear from this video that I definitely should have gone with Brainwavs. Or maybe just continue using the stock ones...
I own just about every style of Brainwavz ear pads maybe every style. The first thing I will say is that BW's have a much larger selection with extended compatibility over wicked cushions. Not to say that WC's wont fit headphones not on their list but BW's have tested their products on more of a variety and know what they will fit. The BW's are exceptional quality I do especially love my cooling gels that I own a few pairs of for long gaming sessions. The cooling Gels change the tonality of the sound too much for me to recommend them for music but you can usually find a pair that will compliment your listening preferences with your headphones. I would like to see more variety in WC's selection as the craftmanship is incredible and I love the colors they offer.
@@Josh-jk1sq Alright, I pulled out my HD650s and my DT880s and ran tests with these from stock pads to the gel pads. Which is just the pairs that I have the gels for. On the HD650s it made the sound seem hollow and just scooped the mids but just hollow. On the DT880s it made them very V shaped, much more bass and treble with less mids. I can like with the V shape of the 880s but the hollow sound on the 650s just gets to me in music. Now just for games I run the gels on my HD660S and they are my go to gaming headset most of the time and it has never really bothered me. I just bought the Brainwavz ear pads, and its currently shipping to me right now, quick questions though, the Brainwavz ear pads does offer a bigger size than the stock one for arctis pro wireless right?
So it's not just me. The sport fabric, and I bought one that have "Ice Silk" And I found both fabrics to get uncomfortable and itchy. I didn't have that problem with the original fake leather. And I think its because of the irritation. But my ears get hotter faster. I just found Brainwavz Perforated, I'm considering trying those. Have you used one that didn't itch?
@StardustLegacyFighter Lucky you. The problem is not truly the fabric. Is that some people like me are sensitive to certain fabrics, and their sport fabric is one of them. Also, ambient temperature doesn't help. When in a hot environment, irritations happen a lot faster. I personally know many people with fabrics issues.
Has anyone tried the Brainwavs NEW CONCAVE CUSTOM MEMORY FOAM FOAMS? - they are thinner than the ORIGINAL Brainwavs, but still thicker than the Original ATH-50x headphone foams.. help! I'm about to buy them anyway! lol!

Where can I find for my monster element over ear. Please if you can help me. Thanks on advance.
I got a Shure srh440 and I've been using Brainwavz on them but I need new ones. I can not get them in the Netherlands but I can get the Wicked Cushions. Anyone know if those will fit as well? On their list of compatable earphones they are not included.
I just bought the Brainwavz ear pads, and its currently shipping to me right now, quick questions though, the Brainwavz ear pads does offer a bigger size than the stock one for arctis pro wireless right?
Hey man is steelseries Arctis pro wireless than the razer nari ultimate in sound quality
Arctis is better
Damn dawg you talk moist
The issue I have with WC is that their cooling gel pads are stiff ans the "sports fabric" they use can cause itchiness.
I've not experienced that issue at all, and I'm someone who uses my headphones daily for work calls and also for PC gaming.
@StardustLegacyFighter Lucky you. The problem is not truly the fabric. Is that some people like me are sensitive to certain fabrics, and their sport fabric is one of them.
Also, ambient temperature doesn't help. When in a hot environment, irritations happen a lot faster.
I personally know many people with fabrics issues.
did you find that they change the sound much from the stock pads?
Not at all!
@@JoshuaChang nice! I ordered a pair and they're way better than stock, thanks for the video!
careful cuz the wicked cushions did for me , lost bass . Scared to try a brainwavz one but i got no choice .
@@RiZeLegiT I got the brainwavz, no complaints, sound the same and comfy
Has anyone tried the Brainwavs NEW CONCAVE CUSTOM MEMORY FOAM FOAMS? - they are thinner than the ORIGINAL Brainwavs, but still thicker than the Original ATH-50x headphone foams.. help! I'm about to buy them anyway! lol!
i have a sennheiser 4.5bntc, will brainwavz reduce the noise cancellation?
and if yes how much?
Just bought the brainwavz today. Super comfortable compared to the stock, but noise cancellation is gone.
How do you only have 450 subscribers
For steelseries arctis users, go for brainwavz, fit better
Does it change the audio, I wanna buy brainwaz, but I dont want to spend money on something that would ruin my arctis 3
Anyone know any comfortable and easy to put on ear pads for the Sony 3d pulse ?
Anyone know if these are compatible with Sennheiser 350bt? I know it’s not listed by either but I’m pretty sure the specs die wise are identical to the 450bt which is compatible with both
*size wise
My ear feel hurt cause touch the driver, does the braiwavz help me?? Please answer
answer
Yes, but we will help even more :)
@@WickedCushions This kinda self marketing is gonna make me buy a pair.
My Arctis one wireless cushion gave out after only a year, what's the usual lifespan of your cushions?
After replacing my pads with brainwavz, my audio technicas sound terrible
Super comfortable. But huge decrease in sound quality!!! (wicked cushion)
Are you saying that you prefer the wc's or that they were the ones that had the decrease in sound quality?
@@Dellzions they had decrease in sound quality. Big decrease.
@@szpip1564 have you tried the brainwavz, if so how do they compare?
I suck at DIY work. Would the Brainwavz be easy to install onto the Sennheiser PXC 550-ii?
I wouldn't spend $20 on PU pads. You can get sheep leather pads for few extra bucks.
great video
the BWZ heat issue is pretty much non existent if you get the perforated type, I started out with the regular ones and found my ear area getting hot and as soon as I made the change the issue is no more than any other type.
Which, I looked up is the X-Large
The Brainwavez ones are absolute garbage.
I ended up getting the WC gel pads, which is made from a much higher quality fabric that will not peel off like fake leather.
Hey Joshua. My company is interested in hiring you to produce videos and would even consider buying your channel with the option of hiring you to produce videos for the channel. Please let me know how I can reach you to discuss further.
Hey Rey, you can find my email by going to my TH-cam profile, then going to “about”. Looking forward to chatting!
ITS VEGAN (WHO CARES)
Vegans…
vegans care
Nah vegan just means cheap plastic for the price of real leather
@@DistinctionDino yes? You are correct sir.
You clearly did.
PU is crap 💩 leather is way better.
Wicked cushions are poor: very thin.
