Caterpillar 232B Drive Motor Replacement

I just resealed my chain case inspection cover on my cat and started off scraping the old RTV like you were. Then I tried a wire wheel on a drill. It knocked off all the old RTV immediately without removing the paint. Took about 2 mins to do both surfaces. Worked great.

Yes, sir on some stuff we do use the wire cups on a die grinder it does work really good I have to agree the brush bristles are the made to remove grime better

What sealan you guys are using on the drive motor edge

It’s just regular high temp Pirma, Tex, RTV
