JESUS IS KING 👑
8 months is just disgusting for a shop to have your old block and then say the basically fked it up. It only takes a few days to do a line bore for most busy shops, in terms fitting in the work with other engines being refurbished.
On a positive note at least you have a good engine hopefully now, and enough spare parts to make some money for the project.
Hanging onto that miscelanious stuff..that air cleaner housing sells for a couple hundred dollars.
Man I really enjoyed the videos about this build and was wondering what happened. Good to see you're back at it and looking forward to its completion. Sure hope you found a new machine shop to work with. 8 months seems a little suspect
Yeah. And I know I was the only one getting treated this way bc a couple times I called they greated me with a “oh is this the kid with the cat engine that’s been sitting here forever” yep. Yep that’s me.
@@BradenBuildz Sucks that businesses like that exist. Hopefully the rest of the build goes smooth. Really enjoy watching you breathe life back into these builds
@@BradenBuildzany update on this? I looked at the videos but wasn't able to find anything. BTW love your videos. Please update us on what happened to the skid steer build. Thank you in advance.
Wow that’s a pretty impressive salvage yard
You are very resourceful. I enjoy your videos. You have me scared to death though about my engine in my 246B.
nice job!! can't wait till you have the cat completed. My brother and I recently finished rebuilding a 3044c for the 287B.
Great video! Laughed way too hard at Elrod angrily trying to unload that engine. Bet he was jealous.
Really liked this video man you had me cracking up with ol elrod haha awesome job brother!!
To save an engine. I would sure try to use an external oil pump. There is some great quality pumps w there.
Can't wait for part 2... hopefully it won't be 8 months from now, lol
The closeups on elrods face while it was trying to load the block had me dead
Wants to watch the world burn lmao
Dude that beat you're brother made has my subwoofer hitting so low... sweet lol
He’s on Spotify “4conner” but mostly just makes beats for artists
Subbed, I dig your skid steer videos and your editing style. I have been waiting to see more vid's on the skid steer so thx for the update. Please keep the repair videos coming and keep doing what you are doin, it's great and has a bit of comedy/chill vibe to it.
Hi Braden from Queensland, Australia, I’ve watched a couple of your videos now and love what you do, I especially enjoy guys who save old iron, so decided to subscribe. Can’t wait to see how the bobcat ends up. Anyway, we’ll done, love your content and commentaries. Keep having fun. As for Elrod, man I’d give him a wide, safe birth. Man, that’s is a heck of a parts yard, wish I had that close by to me. Love your wheeling and dealing mind
I,v welded patches in holes in bloke just tidy up hole cut piece too fit preheat use weld all rods = job right GOOD LUCK
Awesome, there’s someone else on TH-cam machining the block for a turbo, I have a 287 with the same motor, the oil pump issue seems to happen a bit, makes me a little nervous, have you come across a better oil pump or any sort of fix that makes it more reliable?
Do you have a link for that salvage yard? If you have those chunks of block and they don’t go into oil passages or bearing journals you can braze it epoxy those parts in and the block should be good.
Schaefer’s enterprises
Tell them I sent you
@@BradenBuildz do you have a phone number. I’m from Texas. Not too familiar with your area… lol!!
@@ianwille5780 it’s in wolf lake il
@@BradenBuildz thanks I’ll try them. I’m looking for an exhaust manifold for my Mitsubishi bs3f track loader
I wanna see more videos. I love your builds man
This type of engine is borderline impossible to line bore. There is little to no ability to adjust the back lash on the timing gears. When you line bore an engine, the crankshaft moves closer to the cylinder head in the block. That will cause problems with the backlash on the timing gears becoming too tight.
Le pickup fait rêver
Aww cmon get that dang windscreen replaced !!
Great video! where is this parts yard?? i live in graves county
I’m in Marshall. Yard is Schaefers enterprise. In wolf lake Il. Tell ‘em Braden sent you
Elrod 😂😂😂 my David brown 4600 is an angry ol boy, with questionable brakes
Hey man did you ever get this machine running?
Impressive Braden! Will I see you at Builders this year?
Yes
You do know just that quick connect is worth over $1000 and btw those plastic discs on the flywheel are not cheap don't damage them
I love this channel
Hey, where is the parts yard you showed in this video?
Schaefer’s enterprise in wolf lake Illinois. Tell them you heard ab them from me
Make it a high flow while you in there you will not regret it
I've welded up bigger holes than thoses and rebuilt it using all the old parts although I had to replace rings 1 piston & rod second hand, set of shell bearings, gaskets set and oil pump and its been working hard ever since 3 years ago lol
Did you leave all of those parts out in the rain? Yikes
So are u waiting for the motor to come back from the machine shop?
I’m actually doing a conversion on it instead. Really close to getting done but I’m getting married in a week and I’ve been remodeling an old house to move into so it’s hindered my progress
@@BradenBuildz surprised your not videoing that. congrats on getting married
some progress!
Finally
Is there a fix for the oil pump problem?
Not that Ik of. They break off
got a sub from me! where did you learn all of this? Cant be much older than I am would love to do what you’re doin
Mechanical and technical brain, Having a passion for it. And making mistakes. Lots of things but mostly just doing it.
@@BradenBuildz keep up the videos man. Post more often if you can! Definitely have already learned a lot from you
What happened with the flooded f600?
Aw man I live in Columbus ga you should have stopped by! You really scored on this haul!!
Yeah that woulda been cool, I messaged you on fb pretty sure. I sent you a skiddy.
Man i was really hoping for a 4 bt cummins swap those engines are built to last unlike these ones . Well next timee
If I knew then what I know now I would have. But I’ve already committed
Exiting news i was wondering what happened to the skidsteer
Fix the brakes on Elroy
You need to fix your windshield first.
9:01 😂😂😂😂
I had to sub you’re too damn funny
Nice. to bad it took them 8 months to get back with you
Man you are ambitious and remind me a lot of myself when I was younger. I just discovered your channel and subscribed I wish you all the luck in the world and go get em !!!
let me know if you will sell any parts
Chop chop where’s my next video bro??
If its the same machine shop it wont be soon...
Different machine shop. Napa shop. Also playing games.
Just gonna do an engine swap on it. Working on vid rn
Dude I work at tgc🤣
10/10/23.. Where is the part 2? or part 5 ? how is this project going ? I was not going to comment but after watching I have to say something . PALEASE GO TO A GOOD MECHANICS SCHOOL ! LEARN IT ALL .
Other videos are on my channel
Hope you used a different machine shoo
Man you have to shut that backhoe off every time you get off the seat, or one day it will kill you. Or better fix it up and post videos but don’t take chances with heavy equipment.
That is a impressive part yard. Could you possibly give me some more information on it? Where is it at? Or maybe a phone number I’d really appreciate it. Thank you.
