That rebuild was cheaper, and probably better, than the 14k Cat wanted for a new motor.

Most don’t realize the technical side of bringing back a flooded engine 800$ was a steal. You did all the right things. Always enjoy the content .

With that rebuild/ refresh, it's going to be a nice machine. Класс!
I work for a hydraulic company, make sure you refill the case of the main hydrostatic travel pumps with oil. If you start it and the case is empty you will heavily wear the internals of the pump and it will not last! These internals are made of brass and everything is metal to metal contact

Yeah, especially the wiring harness. Did that some years ago, swapping harnesses from one car to the other. I tought I'd remember what goes where. No photo taken. no tags .

Amazing how you put that wiring harness on CORRECTLY first time (apparently) without having to look at a wiring diagram!!

Love the positivity, had a boss as good as you guys when I was about 19,20 ish. Was busting ass like my dad always said to do. Guy walked up to me and gave me a $2 an hour raise out of the blue, said I deserved it.

A very expensive jigsaw puzzle put back together once again and more importantly you know what you got inside the engine. Fingers crossed she purrrs like kitten (CAT) once broken in =P.

Should have soaked them fuel injectors in some diesel with cleaner for few days .Also would have been smart to change out them main bearings.

Next time you do something like this make sure you add lubrication to the head bolts before tightening them. (Engine oil is fine) Otherwise nice job!
