We picked up ours 2 weeks ago (500e Red) for my wife and she loves it, this has the 16inch wheels and I would suspect gives a smoother ride than the La Prima's 17inch, been managed to use our local tesco's EV chargers to top up the battery, and only having used a rapid charger once, resulting in a cost of just £4 to do 230 miles.... the car that just keeps giving....result..
Looks like Fiat have done a great job. Love all the details. Makes all the difference when a lot of thought, interest, style are all in the mix. Well done Fiat
I would absolutely love to park this next to my Vespa Primavera. It would be an idyllic, sensible, and arguably perfect little Italian stable of motoring choices...but sadly, Fiat haven’t indicated it’s coming to the US 😔. Lovely review Ginny, well done 👍🏽
I borrowed an original Fiat 500 decades ago and it was a car that gave me a lot of fun driving and, of course, parking it. A lovely car. Todays offering too would likely be great fun to but would have nowhere to carry my necessary portable mobility scooter sadly. Well done, Fiat, again.
My head just exploded watching this video!! I am so frustrated that Fiat is not bringing this to the States. Mayhaps it's because American automakers don't want to be shown up by better technology in smaller vehicles at a decent price.
This was a perfect review, all the other ones were too flashy, and had lots of unnecessary talking before hand, she got right into it and got me stuck in
Fantastic video, can we get a video from Ginny dedicated to regenerative braking and one-pedal driving, showing exactly how it works and why she loves it so much
Excellent Review! I'm a former 2014 Fiat 500e owner. That car was good, for a conversion, but limited. This all new 500e is a properly designed & purpose built EV. Soo much better! Wish we could get it here in the U.S.
Thank God! At last an electric car that I would actually like to buy as opposed to being forced into purchasing! This is a brilliantly comprehensive review by the delightful and very knowledgeable Ginny and has completely reversed my cynicism about battery propulsion. Fiat has obviously thought very carefully about how to market and promote this car and I love all the stylish and individual touches. I always treat my cars like pampered pets and this one has novelty appeal in spades. Thank you so much, Ginny, for banishing my fears for the future! x
Wonderful spot on review. I have the Generation 1 500e, and it's the perfect urban warrior and weekend runabout. So jealous I will never get the chance to own one in California. Bummer! So glad I discovered your channel, which makes up for it.
I know...it kills me that this car won't be sold here in the US. With that much style and competitive pricing, they'd sell a ton of these on the east and west coasts.
@@chrisfreemesser5707 Don't think the car will do well in very cold weather and in the snow, but if imported to California, Arizona or Nevada it should do well.. Importing from Italy is only $3500.. Great video and finally an electric car review that doesnt mention Tesla every 12 seconds. Fiat have done such a great job on this I think, super cool and elegant with a clever blend of tech and design influences from the original. BMW would do well to study this car in detail and apply the same design principles to the next generation Minis which are now grotesque parodies of the originals. As Ginny said, bravo, great job Fiat.
Love this car. Shame our family won’t fit or our luggage. Great review again, more out takes please. Bring on a Giardinetta, ideally an Abarth version...
We do love our 500s' we have replaced our Abarth with a 500e ICON. We love it, so easy and so quiet to drive. Range mode and 1 pedal becomes quickly natural. While we wait for our Zappi charger it is still easy to charge this car with its 47Kwh battery over a 2Kwh charger at home so dont sweat it. We are just waiting for the Abarth electric, ooh yeah baby cant wait for that one!
@@federicomancino7875 i know decades ago the look of the MG was ruined by California as they had to make them with rubber bumpers instead of the chrome ones. Well done you...You put over the little cute cars many idiosyncrasies very well, we had a test drive in the La Prima in York, without the salesman and it was lovely to drive, it's put the fun back into driving which sadly I lost about 50 yrs earlier. The La Prima will only be available for 500 orders here in UK so some are going to be disappointed as it comes with excellent seating and 17" wheels which the rest of the models do not. Had I not have ordered one, your video would have convinced me to....Now 4 months on.... plagued with annoying warning lights, i.e. tyre pressure monitor, e.call fault, audio failure, auto brake failure, (park brake) been back to dealer 4 times. Front brakes grab and squeak badly, would we buy now...NO. Drives lovely when ok but tomorrow something else will happen!
I'd buy one. First car in 1962 was a Fiat 500 Giardiniera estate in 1977 a Fiat 500 Nuova. Definitely pedal to the metal for fun but caution with the swing axles. Stylish and fun just like Electrifying.
It would have been nice to see under the bonnet. And is it front or rear wheel drive, you didn't say. Finally, how do you turn the daytime driving lights off? (they're a menace, especially since they don't light the rear lamps).

Impressive specs and decent range for a city car and that price is reasonable. Compare it to its supposed competitors like Honda it offers tons of unique ideas without being over the top. The gasoline previous version was usually very unreliable, so a switch to all electric makes more sense.
I like the well-researched, thoughtful evaluations.
£19995 good value. Maybe by next winter one 9-10 months old even cheaper. I'm tempted.
Not compared with the outgoing petrol version. Even with the UK's £3,000 subsidy it's costing over 50% more than existing customers are used to.
