@@uniquethings6032 I recently watched a video of an identical grinder being refurbished, it had the cover on it still. You could get pictures from that one to duplicate it...
You are new at this & still learning... Anything, repeat ANYTHING, that comes into contact with food or drink products MUST be rated as Food Safe. That includes paint, stain, finishes, glue, filler putty, etc. Note that cold bluing is not food safe but heat bluing is. Most filler puttys are toxic, so experienced restorers use sawdust & food safe wood glue as a filler putty. Also, you need to research the items that you intend to restore. Leaving off the missing hopper cover got many comments that you failed the restoration because you didn't replace it... You have a lot to learn before you become a credible restorer.
It's a restoration video. The intention is not for making coffee, but to restore an object in disrepair and to share the process with us, the audience. Showing the coffee being ground at the end was just to illustrate that he restored it's original functionality as well as it's appearance.

We did not paint the crusher, but left it as it is. The grains heat up just at the moment of crushing, after which they quickly cool down due to the low speed of the crusher, so there is no smell of paint in the container. So you are wrong :) But thanks for the comments.
That's what I call a true restoration, doing the repair and leaving it like new. I'm tired of restorers who just take things apart, clean, remove some rust and then add paint and that's it. Anyone can do that. No, a true restoration must include eventual broken or missing pieces and deal with that. That is the true art of restoration. So congratulations for the job. Greetings.
A lot of job for nearly nothing. These coffee mills are so common and cheap on flea markets that this restoration is surely more expensive than buy one that has only a superficial rust and no damage. And the mobile cover is missing. A good challenge anyway, and a success, though I think the designer painting is really ugly and the newly (and well) made stand is much too high
But after all, the essence of all restoration videos is NOT the purchase of new spare parts, but the restoration of what is already there. Pretty weird quibble. But thanks for the comments.

Awesome job you did restoring the hand-cramked grinder. It looks much better and it works like a charm as well. Great work.
You are one of my favourite, absolutely superb workmanship.
Thank you ❤️
Sehr cool gemacht. Schöner Hintergrund. Gefällt mir. 👍👍👍
One tip. Forget the hashtags in the title. They are useless and take up valuable space. greeting
@@chrigunrestauration Thanks for the advice ❤️
awesome 👍
Superbe 🤩
👏👏👏
Also, the cover for the top is missing, it would complete the dome on top, and open to allow the beans to be added.
You are attentive!

Beautiful restoration. Most people would have thrown that away but you brought it back to its former glory.
❤️
I would have made a new box the one was to far gone
Super, good work👍👍👍
Trocou o restaurador?😊
This is an old video. My father used to do this 🙂
Wow... never seen wood restoration like that... nice.
❤️
A subtitle saying the paint is food quality would get support. Excellent work.

Wait a damn minute there’s colored vises like other than primary three?! I love that purple
Sorry i have a question: what did you use white removing rust ?
The fastest and most effective is rust converter
Nice!
Good job on the restoration! It's satisfying to watch.
Nothing like a freshly grounded coffee with paint
That's your take away after watching this fascinating display of craftsmanship? Holy lack of imagination, Batman
Grinder shouldnt be painted i agree. Only cleaned and polished

Very cool object.😊

Great restoration
good restoration considering the amount of damage and what you had to start off with
you did a good job
sorry, but how is it conceivable to treat an object intended to come into contact with foodstuffs with all these chemicals?

Whats a point in making it fancy if cannot be used Tonya?
There should be a front cover on the top that slides over or under the back one. This prevents any beans jumping out while grinding.
너무 편안한영상 잘봤어요. 😍

Great work bro 👌you will be successful very soon
Thanks ❤️
Great job. By the way what is the brand of your belt sander?
Skad GRN-401 😉
Straordinario!
Te acabas de cargar una antigüedad. La próxima ves es mejor que hagas uno nuevo.
Nice work. I subscribed 👍🏻
