While tolls help pay for bridges and roads and red lights and speeding cameras keep our streets safer, an Inside Edition investigation has found some law enforcement officers are finding a way to avoid them. A plastic license plate cover allows for a plate to be read head on, but when viewed from an angle, the characters disappear. Inside Edition has found more than 100 vehicles parked in the streets of New York City illegally obscuring their plates. #InsideEdition

A cop was tailgating me so I sped up and when he came to me, I told him "you were tailgating me" I also did a lane change because I saw him coming really fast.
Most of those cops arent actually enforcing that law. Thats how they justify it.
They dont pull people over in their personal vehicles.

Reminds me of an "Adam12 episode in which Malloy & Reed pull over a driver who was driving a car with no tail light. After Malloy gave him a warning, guy told him police car also had no tail light. Episode name was "The Beast".
I've seen a police officer turn on his sirens, go through a red light, then turn them off.
That's a regular thing here in Jamaica

There’s a code called “Code 2 - Urgent. No lights or sirens”. They do that because the call is urgent but not urgent enough to use lights and sirens all the way.

if that was so they should be issued an exempt license plate not one that shows your # straight on but not in angles which cause the toll cameras to not see it... so that logic of safety is out the window.

Bridge authority is robbing hard working people. I got a $1000 dollar bill for a $30 dollar bridge toll. No wonder they’re covering their plates. Good idea! I hadn’t thought Of that. I’m getting billed $51.75 each time I cross a bridge that the toll is $1.75. I’m very angry! My son was in the hospital after an explosion took his right arm off! And they want $51.75 to cross a little upstate bridge? No one can afford cop or not!
