I feel the same way as you about Jinjer and have for years now.
Jinjer has an extraordinary musical talent, every band member is world class and this band will go down in music history in this genre.
I have been listening to music for over 55 years and have been a musician myself for a long time in various musical genres, but "Jinjer music" is something very, very, very special................
loveley greetings from germany & thanx for your complex reaction

Thank you for sharing your love for Jinjer and I couldn’t agree more with your feelings! I think as a musician, you can pick up and appreciate the magic a bit differently, knowing how rare it is!!

Shout out to the bass line and snare drum tone 🙌

SERIOUSLY!! We need to take a moment and appreciate how ridiculous the tone is from every member of this band, and how well it all works together!

Seriously! Roman just puts together some ridiculous riffs that work so well with the drums and bass! AMAZING

I love the maturity and progression Jinjer has shown from album to album. They do so many different things that I often wonder "what can they possibly do next to surprise?" Tati absolutely showcased her vocal talents on this one!

I love that note! From what I've listened to, they are always growing, and pushing themselves musically, yet while still maintaining that magic that you instantly recognize as Jinjer!!

What’s crazy is this is a band of young people who I don’t imagine spend a lot of time listening to the traditional folk music of their native Ukraine (maybe I’m wrong) but this track has a lot of Eastern European melodic sensibilities.

Well.... it would seem Jinjer can still compose *killer* work. :)
The thought of trying to get stuff this intricate spot-on live gives me the sweats! LOL

Right?! I remember when I first heard Rush, and then when I first heard Dream Theater. I was like "How are they even gonna REMEMBER all those parts and the ways they all fit together?" You just have to practice that shit until it's coming out your ears!

    • @StanDotsethMusic
      @StanDotsethMusic  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

I have no idea how anyone in this band can remember all of these intricate riffs and compositions on tour. I feel like I'd forget after a week of not playing it. Shoot, I can't even remember easy songs I write!!!

I love this new song by Jinjer, always love Jinjer!
I love the portrayals of Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, Marie Curie and (I think) Georgia O'Keefe, although since we know Tatiana loves Frida Kahlo (as do I) because of that tattoo on her arm, I will always think of that character in this video as Georgia O'Keefe on the outside and Frida Kahlo on the inside.
Great reaction! Thank you, as always Stan, for bringing more of the fantastic music of Jinjer to more people! ❤️ 🖤 🤘

Lol you're like me. Been a musician for a long time, and have so much to say about music--but the new Jinjer just turns me into a little kid with an ice cream cone. Running around in circles going "ICE CREEEEEEEAAAMMMM!!!"

Dude ! This whole entire song is 4/4. The whole thing! But within the 4 they do sooooo much, that if you're trying to learn it, its sooo hard. Because sometimes they come in on the 6 insted of the 8 or sometimes its 3 insted of 2 or 0. This whole song was all 4!!!! You have to count it.
They always end on 8, mostly. But here's the kicker they might end on 6 but theyll start on 8. It's weird! ...and Brilliant and defiant!
Jesus. This has got to be what Vlad brings to the table. He's their drummer but he's a multi instrumentalist And he writes too! So with the rest of the band he's a big influence. I wish Opeth would do stuff like this. Challenging perceptions. Hell I wish Amimals as Leaders would do stuff like this, even though they're already challenging! And they have no vocalist. But stilln This is just super awesome!

    • @StanDotsethMusic

It’s so wild how they can make the feel change so much when they cross bars and accent as a full band in such unique ways. It totally messes with my brain when I lose the 1 in some of these passages!
I love your analysis and helps me make some sense of this!!!!
