Thank you for taking the time on this one. Basically Jinjer started in 2008 with different members. Tatiana came in in 2009 and then gradually over time there was only one original member (a second guitar player) until he left to be an actor which left them as a three piece instrumental with vocals where they got signed to Napalm soon after. All of them, including the original singer are still friends and some of them do things for the band on occasion which in my experience is fairly unusual.
I think that any band spats are really just showing how real they are. When they strap on their instruments they are professionals and in fact I don't think they would ever actually refuse to play (my guess given what I know about that summer they already had an inkling that the show was going to get cancelled due to heat). In a day and age where people can't even imagine their favorite celebrities going to the bathroom let alone having all the problems they have in their lives and relationships this is just a reveal that when the instruments are put away and they are in the bus/hotel they are a family just like any other. More so than some bands even if they aren't truly related. That was my experience especially with traveling in bands. Sometimes fans see it, sometimes what they hear is enhanced and partly fiction and some musicians write books about it.
The intro and outro songs Tatiana is referring to are Prologue and Beggars Dance. Short songs. They exist on TH-cam as just the audio. Some people have reacted to them together. You wouldn't imagine a metal band did them. One is very poppy and the other is very Jazzy and makes me want to see Tatiana do a Jazz album as a side project. Dreadful Moments is a pretty dark song, not written from Eugene's personal experiences but what they saw around them from other families when growing up.
Wallflower is about Tatiana being very introverted. That seems a contrast to what you saw here but she seems to be able to shut it off and on albeit with the accompanying anxiety when she is in a public setting she sometimes talks about. The whole album is called Wallflowers because to one extent or another they all are very shy and withdrawn off stage. In fact I suspect one catalyst for Tatiana going sober is her anxiety over what she might say or do (or has said or done in the past) around others when the alcohol kicks in. On top of that in the video for Wallflower it depicts how the band was pressuring her to get lyrics done and she just wanted to be alone. This is routine for her as they said with every album where she has to be under pressure and suddenly the creativity kicks in.
Part of the instrumental process I'm guessing also involves the question "what would Tatiana do here" because otherwise writing and recording the music first without any input from her might not go so well. Listening to songs like Dead Hands shows they sometimes throw her curveballs but she handles them. I think this recent album is a prime example of how Tatiana doesn't write "oh baby baby I love you" lyrics and sometimes people have to think a little. I didn't understand Kafka until someone explained the books to me and then suddenly I loved the song. I've learned to trust that if I don't understand what she wrote it's probably me and I have to go think about it. Of course for people used to or who prefer simpler lyrics, that might be an issue.

Another great reaction! Just for clarification, the concert they are talking about wasn't canceled because they were fighting, the heat in Arizona got so bad the gear physically wasn't working. It was while they were touring with Disturbed, and Disturbed canceled shows because of the heat, it was something absurd like 120F/48.8C. It just apparently happened while Tatiana and Eugene were fighting. Also Eugene is just the anglicized version of his name, I believe it's Yevgeny in Russian.
Vlad (the drummer) is actually a classically trained pianist, which explains his style of composing. He has some piano playthroughs on TH-cam, he's very good.
So glad the band is growing on you! Probably too long for a reaction, but if you're interested in interviews Eugene and Roman (the guitarist) did the Garza Podcast recently and went a lot more in depth into their background and gear, the early days before Vlad joined the band sound crazy. Chris Garza (from suicide silence) talked about how Jinjer was the only band he ever toured with that made him feel like he needed to practice, lol.

"Dead Hands Feel No Pain" didn't resonate with me at first, not until I watched JW Soundworks react to it and gush over Roman's arpeggios, which he aptly compared to a Paganini violin piece. Since then, I've come to love the song, and it now rivals "As I Boil Ice" and "Mediator" for my top rank off the Wallflowers album. It's a glorious, under-appreciated track. I *love* the vocal melodies, the intricate legato guitar arpeggios, the nasty dissonant chords and the beautiful interplay between bass and guitar. I don't really agree that it's chaotic, but the patterns are quite complex. Tatiana's wedding of those haunting vocal melodies to those immaculate, complex guitar licks is well nigh miraculous. I'm so glad that they chose to perform this piece the Audiotree video as it deserves far more attention than it gets.
The evocative lyrics are excellent as well. Here are the lyrics from the crescendo about 2/3 of the way through:
    Dead hands feel no pain
    Blackened hearts, early graves
    A reflection of the sky
Through the mirrors of the eyes
I can hear them coming down
    A familiar sound
    It won't be long
    It won't be long
    Before they tear me apart
    As they circle above
    Crashing down like black rain
    Dead hands feel no pain
    Gripping onto
    The reality of
    Facing a thousand
    As they circle above
She's talking about crows circling above a dying person, waiting to dine on the corpse. I usually get chills when she starts belting out "Gripping onto...".

BTW, you should definitely give the studio version of this song a careful listen. The guitar work sounds cleaner, and the build up to the crescendo is more dynamic. Chef's kiss.

Eugene said he wrote Dreadful Moments about something that happened to a childhood friend. One thing to consider with him being concerned about the topic is he's not the one singing the song and many fans thought it was Tati's experience at first. She referenced it later in another song, Retrospection which is about their families and basically said that's not me. It's just one of the connections between the Micro EP and Macro album which were released less than a year apart.
The background music in the interview parts is Micro and lainnereP (Perennial backwards). They are instrumental tracks that Jinjer uses as intro or outro music at concerts.
As for the fight, I'm not sure if you caught it but the concert was cancelled due to extreme heat and the band had no control over it. They were laughing about the coincidence. They love playing for the fans and would not actually cancel over that argument. They were one of the first bands to play in Europe when the lockdowns were ending and one year they played over 150 live shows on top of recording an album.

I found Jinjer in '18 and have seen them live twice, '19 and '22 so far, and even met them too. I'm a 58 year old rock musician and Jinjer is my favorite band from this century. Good evening! This group certainly have style of their own to make and perform music. Every member of band is very temperamentic, so it's nice that they still work together. Because they are citizens of country at war, their artform can be very significant lifter to how to feel nationality as united people of their country. They propably give strength to their fellow citizens with their music. My country has similar kind of history with same enemy, and our poets made very genious texts at that time to help people through bad times. I think the vocalist really stands out with her personal style to sing like duet with the dark side of herself. It has to be healthy way to produce that growl, because right after that she continues with her "own" voice without problems. Thank you kaNji for introducing this band for me..Kaisa ❤

What's interesting about Jinjer - in many cases their songs performed live hit harder than studio versions. Not in every case though.
That means - when you hear some new Jinjer track and can't get it you better don't hurry to judge it. Just wait for the professional live recording of this song. It's quite possible that the song will reveal itself to you in a new, better way.

I disagree with Eugene on one thing though. When he talks about literature from the previous centuries, those creators were equally ostracized by their peers, consumers and political/religious leaders. The real-time scandal behind those works are lessened by time. The more of a 'classic' something is considered the less we know about what kind of a splash it made in it's time.
