This is great!! I feel like this was the first video showing what condo living is nowadays. I love how you guys prioritized your desks and bike over a typical couch. Great use of the space. Thanks for the ideas and inspiration.
@@MichaelRizzi I love your bed in your bedroom. I have got a double bed and it as storage space underneath. Does Chris live with you? If he does. Is he your boyfriend? Your brother? Or is he just a friend? Please let me know when your ready. Thank you.
You NAILED it! Not only are you making great use of the space, but you're also living sustainably. A space like that means you don't accumulate material things that you don't need. You're not heating/cooling space that's not being used. A++ You set a great example for how we all should be living.
I love the way you've taken advantage of every square inch of the place to get the most out of its functionality without sacrificing aesthetic value. It's the magic of minimalism. The apartment looks very comfortable in general, and that, in my case, is one of the most important factors. We recently traded in our old sofa for an LC3 Sofa from Manhattan Home Design as we felt it saved us a lot more space and it still looks amazing. We want to add some small indoor plants as well. Thanks for sharing the tour!
I absolutely love the condo. Thank you for showing this on TH-cam because its given me some ideas to maybe think about the small spaces I currently live in.
@@MichaelRizzi that’s great!! I’m really looking forward to it since I wanted to do my balcony this week but it got delayed because it’s haling and snowing and terrible here (the Netherlands) which is weird because it was 25 Celsius (77 Fahrenheit) here last week!
As someone who also lives in a tiny condo in Toronto it is so interesting to me to see how you configured the space. Would love to know what kind of washer/dryer you have as well as those weights look really cool too! I like how you utilized the 'living room' to suit what works for you guys right now with the pandemic and all, excellent ideas!
Get ready for this - Walmart! Found it by accident because Walmart / big box stores were the only things open at the time. Give Walmart’s online store a look.
I lived in Montreal (studying) decades ago, but I have never been to Toronto or any other major Canadian city - so I always find videos like these fascinating. I have a condo myself (Phoenix) but it is only on the first floor of a one-floor building north of downtown. My front window faces my neighbor's stucco wall and my back window faces my stucco patio wall. Needless to say, not much of a view. I would absolutely LOVE a view like your place has, and Toronto seems like a great city!
If it were my place I would put an elevated bed (loft bed) in the bedroom so I could use the space beneath for a couch movie hangout space or desk area. When weather is permitting I would put the stationary bike on the balcony. Seems like you are very happy in the condo with Oscar.
Great use of space! A unique setup that fits your needs. You don't know how much I despise the smaller size washer dryer combos in the newer condos. So seeing your oversized machines seriously made my day lol
Just watched your video pretty cool small space, one change I would make is to change out some of those doors to some nice bifolds and gain a little space.
The 9 foot ceilings make the space seem bigger. Lots of light and great use of space plus a fantastic view. Balcony is a must when living in a condo with a dog! Great job. Cheers ✌❤
I also live in Toronto and I have 1 bedroom and a den. But your unit is more modern than mine. I'm taking some of your ideas on how to make it more modern look!
I just moved from a big 2 bedroom to a tiny 1 bedroom so I am understanding the challenges of using space efficiently. I have been wanting a storage bed too. May I ask where you bought yours and if there is a model name? Thanks. :)
I'm sitting here quietly, but my Siri is having a full-blown convo with you. XD I really like the rugs and couch. And the TV -- I thought it was a picture at first!
Absolutely love this Condominium.. It's beautiful, contemporary, and has everything you need.. The view from your windows and the balcony is amazing too.. Excellent job gentlemen..
You've set up the space for your specific needs, and it works. You made a good choice to have an apartment with both a good-sized balcony and laundry machines. Women tend to clutter their spaces with ornamental stuff, but you've made functional use of it all, so the place looks open and bright.
Your place is awesome. That couch is amazing. Never saw anything like that. Never saw rugs that were two layers;peel and wash. Love it. I have a bunch of smart lights as well and they are one of my favorite things. Congratulations on your new home guys!
It appears from the comments that several of us would like some extra details (without compromising your privacy) like general area of Toronto where you are, average price range for this size condo, the source of the loveseat and bed, as they are unique for small space living. People are always curious. I personally would like to paint a wall or two some color or wall covering, just to add texture. Having a base wall a solid color with the other wall(s) still eggshell is a good look. I think all eggshell can make rooms look too stark. Not sure how indoor plants do in cold Toronto, but a plant (maybe hanging) in each of the 2 main rooms would be nice. Even some nice artificial plants give a nice green touch, which is especially welcome in the 6+ bleak winter months.
my first apartment was the same size but it didn't have a separated bedroom or washing machines and a modern kitchen. I like how the space is used in your apartment, it looks so comfy.
Michael, I can't believe your tiny condo looks great at your house in Toronto, Canada on this video during your quarantine and thanks to your boyfriend, Chris, I hope he will be happy for you, but I wanna say I'm proud of you and I know you're Canadian, now!!
You two are quite lucky in that you live in a city/town that was designed to be first and foremost a condo town in the first place. Not all cities and town are designed as such and that in it self is a ready good thing indeed.
yeah.. it's really not though. There's no condos with schools or daycares in them, many condos are excluded from being part of the local public school catchment, and many condos don't have retail or public transportation access via underground.
The Love Shack ;D I'm always amazed how tiny (and expensive) space actually is in cities (specially in large ones). As European country guy I'm not used to that, I live alone on so much more space. But you definitly made the most of it :)
I love how you used the living room as a dual office/exercise room, sensible for stay-at-home, self-isolating pandemic times. Is that a double size bed (it looks like it) or queen. Is a double size bed big enough for a couple of average weight?
How do you watch that large TV in the entrance from the couch (or is it on a swivel arm?) Seems like you'd get a sore neck since it's 90 degrees to the right if sitting on the couch. I love that the TV shows art as that did not look like a TV to me.
We mainly use the big TV as an all-day leisure watch/listen (videos, podcasts, news) while we work at our desks. We watch tv in the bedroom when we’re just chilling 🥰
Great zoning in such small square footage....amazing your versatile couch..eager to see your balcony reveal....what floor are you and what direction do you face? .
great video, lovely condo. really intrigued by the rugs ... are the underpads non slip and do the uppers fit into your washer? where is you get them? I think they would be great for our home office where we roll chairs from one work space to another.
I live up north in Toronto in a 550-sqm condo and I actually would have preferred this condo set-up, because a 2-br set up in the same amt of space is pretty small.
Hello. That was a great tour! I love it! You did a wonderful job putting things in the right place. Great idea about making art using your tv!! Thank you for sharing! Cheers to both of you and your cute puppy.

Very well thought out use of space. It would be so easy for a place like that to look cluttered, but it doesn’t at all. It looks very livable.
Definitely needs a 2x a day quick clean! But that only takes a few minutes 😅

You guys really utilized the space well. I love the storage under the bed, the mini sofa bed, the skinny table against the wall and the mirror!
550 is huge!
Good use of the space/looks great. That said, the sad part is that 500 sq. ft. in Toronto likely costs about $1,000,000 to buy, give or take a bit.
Wow! Toronto and Vancouver are both so doggone expensive - not sure how anyone affords it anymore!
Really the fav things is how you designed a small space and make it cool and spacious! That couch!!! YES!!! The view... spectacular!!!
Very smart and efficient use of space...stylish as well

yeah wait till they build a luxury ghetto "condo" across the street, that half a million view will be worth the money.
