I too went from the 6D to the R6. The quality comes out in low light performance and auto focus. Are used to attempt someone walking or running toward me and if I were lucky 30% of my images would be in focus. Now if you’re doing it right with the R6 we are almost to 99%

    Hope you are doing well
Here is what i see without scientific experiment.
An issue of both of my two R6s but have observed this in all r6 that i have seen!!
Please take a look at your body.
    Take 2 photos with...
    1/8000 in a uniform background
One shot with mechanical shutter and one with 1C-E shutter mode.
In my bodies, the one with mechanical mode shutter, appears more bright in the lower half of the image and darker on the other half.
In contrast, the one with 1C-e shutter mode (which the default shutter mode) appears normally exposured.
This difference happens on shutter speeds more than 1/1000 and it most exaggerated in 1/8000.
This is a major canon r6 and r5 flaw because the two images should look identical.
    Thank you

Thanks for the honest review! I am definately thinking of buying the R6. Since I am on a tight budget, I was thinking of getting one good zoom rf lens and get old and used ef glass for the other focal lengths. Now I just have to decide between getting the 15-35 or the 70-200. I already own the Canon M50 with a 16, a 32 and a 56 (APS-C) prime, so there is no need for a standard zoom for me.

My 70-200mm is one my favorite lenses. It especially works great for full-frame sensors.

Hi.. I do have a canon 6d. can you compare straight out of camera jpegs with auto white balance from 6d and r6. I am getting impression that r6 has too warm pictures. Thanks

R6... The missing of the top lcd screen is a deal breaker. How can they sell a 2700€ professional camera without a top screen. That is all i look at for 90% of the cases. It looks like a rebel Ti.

You really do not need a top screen. Everything is fully and clearly reflected in the viewfinder. In fact you can change drum settings so you keep composing.

Sony alpha a1 costs 6500$ and does not have lcd top screen so maybe isn´t that important for mirrorless cameras.

@@deroy1223 People keep comparing Canon with Sony cameras while they should be comparing Canon with other Canon professional cameras. Canon is not in a lower position than Sony so i don't see the point of copying from Sony. All other Canon professional cameras have the top screen. Sony should copy from Canon and add this valuable feature. The missing LCD top screen makes sense only in the Fujifilm mirrorless cameras but only because i can see the settings (shutter speed, iso ecc) already in the knobs on top.
