Wow. Didn't know this. This just makes the game easier in this part. Lol. All I did was making an OK level up to 99 to solo it. It was too easy killing Altima.
In all honesty this is a game one plays for its plot, not so much it's mechanics. Though I have tried adapting this game to Dungeons and Dragons 5e and seen "some" if "Very limited" success. so in reality it falls more to poor balancing of the boss.

@@LongToad The older you get, the more relevant the plot is with regard to modern political and societal struggles. This is a timeless plot that speaks throughout generations, and I'm not making that up.

Thank you for the comment. BTW, I did not level & de-level my Ramza at all. In all other battles, Ramza just standing there, do nothing. Fights are done by other characters. Therefore my Ramza got JP, but not EXP.
The amount of grinding to get to that point must've been ridiculous. Ramza has to be in every fight and not do anything. And not only grind the other characters up you have that small spillover going to ramza which I believe to get to calc is somewhere around 4000 JP on it's own could be wrong this is psx fft so the JP reqs are lower than wotl
JagenXI mmhm. they may have used an engine/emulator, but in a normal circumstance, yea it's insane to think about how long that would have taken. edit : they claim no emulator or mods. i do not envy the amount of work this took to complete one bit..
You are correct that the amount of grinding is insane. However, there are several tricks that helps you do automatic grinding without emulator/cheating device. For example, the 1 damage auto-attack trick. steps 1. In any random battle. Kill all but one enemy. Trap it in a corner. 2. Speed break the target enemy until its speed is 1. Also curse it with frog. Now it is completely harmless. 3. Choose one character, who has the job that you want to JP-spilled to Ramza. This character is barehanded. Power break this character until the physical attack stat is 1. Curse the character with berserk. 4. Petrify all other characters (including Ramza). Petrified character still get spilled over JP. 5. The chosen character will automatically attack the enemy with 1 damage until the enemy dies. At level 90+, this could be 500+ turns. The JP gained in just this single battle could be 20,000+ for the chosen character and 4000+ for others, enough for everyone to learn almost all of the abilities in that class. Bonus: Another character in other job, who has no ranged attack and have ability accumulate, can be put in another corner. If you set its auto-battle mode, it will accumulate until its attack stats is 99. This is additional 4000+ JP (1000+ spilled-over) in other class. With these tricks, grinding takes time, but you can do something else during that time. By the end of the week, Ramza (and 4 other characters) are master in almost all classes (except summoner).
It is not RNG Gods. It is AI manipulation. In this game, the enemy AI have simple rules to choose how to attack you. If you understand that, you can control them to some extent. In the video, my Ramza has low enough HP to be 1-hit killed by regular attack. This is why Altima keep using regular attack (and get Hamedoed). I also use Innocent to prevent magic attacks.
There is only one battle in the game that Ramza must solo kill the enemy: the Wiegraf&Velius Battle. You can win that battle without level up. Check this video. th-cam.com/video/QbLPkv6ipyE/w-d-xo.html
There is a Thief ability 'Steal Exp.' which can decrease EXP of target around 10-25 (and transfer that EXP to user) per use. After Wiegraf/Velius fight, I just went to random battle. Then, use a generic disposable character to steal EXP from Ramza.
You are right, he clearly used action replay to keep EXP at 00, you can see that this pathetic liar doesn't get EXP when he hits Wiegraf, while being lv1 vs a lv 28 mob. He is a simple idiot using gameshark or action replay, thinking that he is smarter tahn everyone... really pathetic.
Chance that Hamedo (and almost all reaction abilities) will be activate is equal brave. 97% brave = 97% chance. At 100% brave, the AI will not try to physical attack you. For Altima, she will try to do something else, which will kill my Ramza. Therefore, the strategy in the video is to keep brave at 97%.
Because all damage to Altima second form is done by counter-attacking with Hamedo in this strategy. Having haste and extra turns does not help in this challenge. Having extra damage does help to end battle faster, before innocent status wear out.
Good run but why did the Alitima boss teleport away and do nothing on its 2nd turn and your guy has zero experience but in your velius fight (your other video) you casted demi 2 twice to gain some experience.
1. Ramza was wearing 'secret clothes' which give 'transparent' status. This prevent him from being targeted until he act. Altima, with no target, just teleport somewhere. 2. After Velius fight, I use 'steal exp' ability to remove the exp from Ramza.
Not with this strategy. FFT 1.3 is a big overhaul of the game. Abilities and equipment are completely different. It is still fun to play, but the gameplay is more like a different game than a mod.
