I've been on the Reflection several times. I've always had a good experience. The service, food and entertainment was top notch. The Tuscan Grill was worth the price. The martini bar was a lot of fun. The premium drink package was worth the cost.
I realize that RC now owns Celebrity, but when this ship was built, it was still owned but the Chandris Family. Boy was Celebrity much nicer back before RC acquired them. Not that we don’t still love Celebrity, in fact, it’s the only line we will cruise on, but the staff quality was really something back then! We are looking forward to Our transatlantic cruise from Barcelona in a couple weeks on the Constellation, “The Connie”.
I don't think Celebrity was owned by the Chandris family when any of their current fleet were built. Celebrity has lowered standards because they're just trying to change with the times and expand.
We have sailed on 27 Celebrity cruises. We always ask the cabin steward to empty out the refrigerator. We are Elite and pick up cans of water and soda from the bars between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. We put them into our cabin refrigerator for later. We aren’t big alcohol drinkers, but the water and soda cans are a nice benefit.
Hello, Was curious did you sail on Reflection post Refurbishment? We sailed on Equinox back in 2023 our first experience with Celebrity and thinking about taking a cruise in 2025 on Reflection. Thank you for your insight.
Yes we did. We were on the Reflection at the end of February 2024. It received its update in the beginning of 2023. It could use a little more work in some of the rooms, they were still in need of some refurbishing. Most of the public areas were all refurbished and really nice. They did a good job of keeping up with the overall appearance of the ship.
The crowd on this cruise was definitely older. There was a good mix of ages from around the mid-40s and up, but I noticed a particularly high number of people in their 60s and older, more so than on any other cruise line I've been on, except for river cruises.
If you book a room that holds more than two people, then most of them will have a convertible couch or a hideaway bed. The rooms that only hold two people typically have standard couches that do not convert. The room we stayed in only held two people, so the couch was standard.

Hello,
Was curious did you sail on Reflection post Refurbishment?

What would you say the age demographic skews towards onboard? My wife and i love NCL but wanna find a good secondary cruise line to test

Does the couch convert to a bed?

Cabin# ?
I don’t remember for sure, but I think it was 8293.
I came across the room number by accident today, it was 8311. The other room was a friend of ours, but I don't have video of it.
