I was on the Reflection in June and loved it. I will be on Reflection again in April. I actually got a better price on Celebrity than what was offered on Royal. I don't go on the short cruises but stick with 7 or more days.
We really liked the ship for adults, do you sail with children on her? And you have to love getting great deals like that! If we were taking an adults cruise we would sail her again without concern :) she is a great ship.
@@amysturnkeytravel Used to cruise with children and then teenage grandchildren on Royal. But I love the medium size ships like Celebrity and Holland America now that I cruise solo. I don't need all the water slides and stuff. I just enjoy cruising for itself.
I think the ship is compartmentalized to feel intimate. The Edge class ships not as much. The Edge class ships are different. A lot of people like the differences and some don't. But the Edge ships really aren't appreciably bigger. Celebrity doesn't yet have what are considered big ships in today's market though I consider them to be large ships.
Thanks for that information. I can't totally understand how it creates a more intimate feel and it definitely kept things from feeling crowded. We haven't sailed an Edge class yet. We may have to start planning one of those!
I have had many cruises with Celebrity and have always had the the crew interact first so it was sad to hear you say they didn't interact and we have been on almost all there ships
Interesting. Well it could have just been a 1 off for them. They were still friendly once we engaged them in conversation. Just seemed different from the staff interactions we've had on other lines. Which Celebrity ship is your favorite?
That's interesting. I wonder why it is shifting? Wonder if it's different crews. Like once the contract runs out the new crew is so different, it's noticeable?
The gym was a decent size with quite a bit of machines. I'll go check my footage and confirm for you. Or if you message us your email, I can email you footage of the gym
It's okay, make the best of it. Don't let this hurt your excitement. Your mileage may vary and there may be more families with kids on board that time. But there are no slides, no flow riders, etc. make the best of it and enjoy the ports.
Definitely a great option for people that are going to drink their monies worth. We are mentioning th 5 free drinks a day we get on royal, anytime, anywhere, vs the limited cocktail menu on celebrity. If I was a heavier drinker, I would sprink for the package.
Worst cruise ship ever! No genuine Retreat (RIPOFF) on board. Stayed in a royal Suite, the ONLY decent thing onboard. Above deck was filled with hundreds of cheap loungers. Nothing to do save your money and sail on any other ship. TOTALLY BORING LAME ship with mediocre service.
That's true there isn't a real retreat area on board. You do have to deal with the standard loungers. We're sorry to hear you had a terrible time. Which line do you prefer?
Just got back. Had the FREAKING TIME OF MY LIFE. Best food, best crew, best entertainment. Unbelievable experience!
That is SOO great to hear! Glad you had a blast! Can we ask, did you take kids or was it an adults only cruise for you?

That makes perfect sense and it is a perfect ship for that 😄! We havent tried Holland yet, but plan to.

My daughter had this same experience with crew not being friendly, but I was on the Reflection in June and they were very friendly like on Royal.

How was the gym? Enough treadmills? Thanks.

@@amysturnkeytravel Thanks. Deciding between a celebrity or princess cruise in spring. Already been on Sun P and enjoyed it.
we reviewed the footage. There were 20 treadmills, tons of bikes and several ellipticals as well as other machines and free weights.
Oh no:( we are going with kids in March.

They have a kids club though.
Yup. We included that in the video. And a teen club as well.
