- Today I am going on an exciting, challenging, and beautiful ride up Mt. Washington in New Hampshire. The Mt. Washington Auto Road winds to the top of the 6,000 foot mountain and has spectacular views and drop-offs that are not for the inexperienced rider.
I filmed my entire ride up, a few shots at the top, and the whole ride down. I hope you enjoy this ride along video on Mt. Washington, if you do, please subscribe to my channel and leave a comment down below.

Thanks for sharing.I'll be doing mount washington next month on an indian challenger
Really enjoyed this man. Thank you for posting
Nice job on the video. I am making that ride next month. Hope I have a nice clear day like you did!
I got SERIOUS anxiety when you hit that gravel road lmao, great ride though!!
I could only imagine how beautiful this would be if the sun was shining with blue skies
I took my son up the cog rail in Mid August 2016. It was sunny, in the low 80's in the am at the bottom but it was freezing, thick fog (could not see for more than 30 or 40 feet) and windy as hell at the top. Some people say my car is a mess (it is) BUT I usually have a few pullover sweatshirts and knit hats in the car and we layered up pretty well. A lot of others did not have anything like that and were miserable at the top. Fortunately they sell such things (make sure you are ready to buy if you are without) and plenty of hot food and drink at the top. Now, seeing your video, I'll have to ride up there some time when I get set up with a new ride. Thanks for posting.
I'm planning on bringing my bike up this year. Think I'm gonna do it in June during bike week
Your Indian had no shortage of horsepower.
Thanks sir for posting. Now I really want to take my bike up. The wife says I need to wear the HANS device before going up
I’ve ridden the Tail of The Dragon too many times. Try to get there a 6 am to beat the crowds. A much better road is in Virginia called Back of The Dragon. Much closer to home and very tourist friendly. They are on Facebook . Haven’t been up Mt Washington since I was a kid. Now I’m going on a sport bike. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for posting the complete ride up and down. Lots of memories watching this video. I did the mountain in Early June 2019 with my riding group of 16 riders. It was a little intimidating when starting out, but it was mostly a mind game with everyone expecting it to be difficult. You have to pay attention and keep the revs up but the Street Glide is more than capable of doing this. Engine brake on the way down and NO front brake, especially on the gravel. Thanks again. P.S. we were there for Laconia bike week and our ride was bikes only on Mt Washington.
I love your fearless nature. I’m the opposite. Enjoyed your video. I’m here because I’m planning a trip to the White Mountains and I want to do the auto road but I’m petrified.
Definitely adding this ride to my list
After living up there for what seems like forever, I never made it up Mt. Washington. Back in 2015, I rode from Charleston, SC to Laconia for bike week but when we got up there it was unseasonably cold. While that trip was on my list, I could only imagine what the temperature was like up there if I was cold on the ground. I wimped out. The only things I miss about NH though are my friends and the roads. Pretty glorious riding.. at least for most of the year.
Looks like a great ride
Have you been up MT Equinox? The auto Road is pretty good with tight turns and switchbacks.
Were you keeping it in 2nd year for most of the part down? I heard most people just keep it in 1st so they don't ride the break
your bike seemed to run fine. I rode my Roadmaster up trailridge rd in the Colorado Rockies and it was about 12,000 ft elevation. My bike coughed and sputtered at little on take off. It ran out fine but rolling away from a stop was sometimes a challenges to keep it from stalling. Fuel injection shouldn't do that. Must have another issue.
Did you get out to the Americade last week
I've noticed with my Roadmaster the temp temp gauge is very slow to react, almost to a fault. My old Harley would show high temp fast when the sun came out. It's hard to mind a happy medium.
