    Great Job very informative. I’d love to see a tutorial on how to plan out rides in the new Indian app.

    Just bought a 22 Pursuit Limited in September and it's quickly become my favorite motorcycle of all time. I'm currently riding and seeing what needs to be added to make it my own. So far an Indian driver backrest, 4" custom pullback bars from KST and a 2" trunk relocation kit from Rivco for her. The biggest problem I've had is the Ride Command System. There are a few years difference between our bikes but I believe that your video will finally help me figure this thing out. The owners manual may as well have left it completely out, it's worthless and all of the other videos have been incomplete.
    Thanks for the video.

    • @MOTOBLADE
      @MOTOBLADE  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Owners manual is pretty worthless on ride command. Watch my videos on the new challenger and pursuit test rides. I go over their ride command systems. Not in great detail, but between those 3 videos there might be enough ride command footage of the new system to help you out. Congrats on the new ride! Welcome to the tribe 😎

    Just found your video. Very helpful. Question: On the NAV screen, there is an icon at the bottom of the screen and to the left, next to the zoom in/out buttons. What does this icon do? Noticed on your video that the icon started flashing when you moved or zoomed in/out on the screen. Thanks

    • @MOTOBLADE

      If I understand correctly what you're asking, that icon changes the orientation from 'north always up' on the map to 'forward always up'.

    When pairing your phone to the Bluetooth on the bike does the bike have to be started and running in order for the phone to play through the Bluetooth? I ask because as of now (8/15/20) my head pipe is off and being decatted. I won't have it back til later next week. My phone said it was paired. The Ride Command said it was paired but I wasn't able to play music from my phone via Bluetooth from the Indian stereo.

    Great video. I do have one question. It appears that your instrument cluster back lights are white instead of red. Am I right? And how did you get them to white??

    • @MOTOBLADE
      @MOTOBLADE  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are white on the 2018 model with the black background. You can get tan background instruments and those will have the red backlight.

    Ever have the issue where the RideCommand on the bike freezes and reboots by itself. Also have an issue that the radio won't play any sound often.

    my 2018 chieftain classic won't allow me to quick reply it doesn't even appear as an option. in neutral or not. ? shows the text but that's it. is there a setting I am missing? love this option on bike but can't access it??

    • @MOTOBLADE
      @MOTOBLADE  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      My suggestion would be to update or reinstall the ride command software. It may have been released as an update after you purchased your bike. Your dealer can update it for you in a couple minutes. Hope that helps!

    Is there a screen that shows engine temperature??

    • @MOTOBLADE
      @MOTOBLADE  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is not, and that is one thing I would like to have! There is a temp light that comes on if it gets to hot, but by then it's a problem. As a pilot I'm always watching engine data to maintain my engines properly in flight. I really wish I had more info on the engine when riding. But you and I probably aren't the "average consumer".

    Thanks for the info. Would you share how to plan routes and download to iPhone? I can set a course on PC, but can’t transfer to iPhone which in turn would Bluetooth to motorcycle

    • @bruryan
      @bruryan 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It involves using the Indian Ride Command website and the Indian Ride Command app for your iPhone or Android phone. Once you've created a free account and logged in to the Ride Command website, build your route, name it, and save. The route automatically syncs with the app on your phone. Then you transfer to your 17+ Chieftain or Roadmaster via Bluetooth.
      Note: from the website there is also an option to download your saved route as a .GPX file, which you can use with other devices and shared with your riding group.
