Hello! Could you possibly make a video of where you sell and trade plants, find plants and shop for them? I’m also from Utah and would love to know this information!
I do this with my boyfriend and his little brothers! They’re getting to the point where the Bros walk in and say “I gotta check and see how big this plant is now!” Makes me smile 😊 they’ve named them and it’s definitely made me more attached to certain plants because the guys actually like them and enjoy them with me!
I drag my son to see new growth or a new plant. He's the only one in the house that will pretend to find it interesting/cool. My daughter and hubby are ducks! Hehe
Yes my man ussually doing that by him self with his coffee and then not long after my lil girls going around with their dolls and showing to their dolls the plants name or new leafs or the lady bug or the holes in the leafs.... is just the cutest moment for me...
If someone was unfortunate enough to ask me about my plants, they would receive an hour long tour and an aggressive sales pitch on why they should have plants too 😂
@@wandawillingham4449 My fella has always been supportive of my gardening, but I recently have gone bonkers with houseplants and he can’t stand it! 😂 He’s always saying things like “Plants are supposed to be outside.” So… I’m looking for a greenhouse. My favorite thing about you is that you're honest when things don't go well with your plants. Makes me feel less alone now that I have a busy schedule and struggle to care for all of my plants at once... Love watching your videos :)

Haha I do the same and lately when we go out to a store or just in nature my youngest is like "LOOK! Mom! Your plant is so cute!" When it's not mine but she appreciates plants.
i'd like to imagine this is an exact pov of what it's like to visit Harli's house.. just Harli talking continuously while shoving plants in your face.. and all i can say is: can i please come to your house???
Your content is great Harli. It’s chill, fun and real life. That’s the best kind of content in my opinion! You’re beautiful, your baby is adorable and your plants are amazing! Keep being you! 💚
If someone came over and wanted to know about my plants, I'd immediately show them the pothos and dragon tree that I inherited from my grandma, who was one of my very favorite people and dearest friends (I joke that God sent me 60 years after her because we would have been too much trouble if we were from the same generation.) She passed away this year on Mother's Day. 😔 I'd probably brag about how well the dragon tree is doing because when I got it, it was in a pot with no drainage and the roots were complete mush. I was so determined to nurse it back to health and now it has a second branch 🤗
I wish I had inherited plants from my grandmother and mother. My grandmother passed away but I think I better take some cuttings from my mom the next time I visit PA.
When my grandfather passed I will inherit my grandmothers plants he still has - she passed when I was very young, and everyone tells me how much her and I are alike.
What a brilliant idea Harli!! I personally find more conversational videos like these so soothing. Plus you have a very inviting energy. 😊 Thanks for sharing with us!
Part of me says "yessssss cut that albo" only because I've been looking for one for so long and have been really hoping you have some when you open your shop, but the other part of me says "girl, YOU ARE NOT SELFISH!" If it were me, it would kill me to chop that beauty up!
Hello Harli. Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to say hi at Lowes today. Ryan even looked to be enjoying himself lol. I walked away with a new plant and pot. Hope you faired well in your shopping.
Hey Chris! Thank you so much for saying hi & chatting. I left with some plant goodies too 😋 I’m happy we both had a successful plant shopping trip & it was really nice to meet you!
Regarding the orchids - make sure that they're potted into orchid bark and not normal compost or just moss and then check the roots before watering them - only water when the roots look grey/silver to avoid overwatering and I usually let it soak in water for 15-30min when that happens. Make sure you don't forget to take them out of the water because the worst thing you can do to them is overwater, but as long as you're careful not to do that you're good! 😃 excited to hear more orchid updates!
my plants are about the only thing i talk about when people come into my house 🙂 , “ oh your boyfriend brought you chocolate & flowers yesterday?” “ WELL MY MONSTERA IS GIVING ME A NEW LEAF AND IM SO EXCITED!!!!! “
I feel like most of my facetime calls with my sister devolve into this, just walking around showing/talking about my plants....whether she wants that or not. Love it!
Harli, I don't know if you'll see this, but know i'm thinking of you while you're going through this weird youtube algorithm path. Your stress and anxiety about it is valid. Don't let yourself get beat up too much. I'm sending good vibes for it to get better soon!! Just know that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE watching your videos. My passion for plant has grown with my love for watching your videos. Every week when I do my plant watering routine, I sit down at my kitchen table, surrounded by my plants while listening to video of yours. I started watching you because of plants, but now I am attached to this channel because you seem to be such a genuine person. Hope this hard time passes on quickly for you. Don't give up :)
I just found your channel a few days ago and have hardly stopped watching. You are the first plant channel that I have really enjoyed! I love how willing you are to hear and learn from your viewers. You are, of course, waaaaay knowledgeable on plants and what not but you never in your videos act like you know everything and openly are like "that may be wrong... if you guys know about this *topic* let me know!" which is so so admirable!!!
Don’t change a thing, love the easy going vids like we’re all just hanging out. Too much structure can feel like it’s unobtainable for me. More. More. More. 😃👋
I love that you propagate and share your plants! I went several years without houseplants due to moving and then a baby kept me busy. Now that I'm adding houseplants to my home again, there are so many gorgeous plants I don't remember ever seeing before. I've bought soooo many these last couple months. I'm figuring out which are my favorites which has been really fun. I'm going to keep watching your channel because you talk often about propagating and you show so many different varieties of houseplants. I want to learn how to propagate and share these beauties as well. It's such a beautiful gift to give someone. I'd love to hear how you come by the nursery pots and the soil that you pot your gifts in. I figure the more affordable those materials are, the more I can gift!
This video is one of my favorites. You share a plethora of things: plant tour, latest on your propagations, how some plant blooms look, not so good outcomes, ideas/thoughts you are "struggling" with, your neck pain, your family, another recommended source for buying plants, etc. I found it refreshing and not to "planned and canned." Lol!! Just relax and let it flow!!
Thank you for the nice video :) What I learned from my grandma about orchids is that it is really important they don’t stay in water to long (she bottom watered them for max 30mins), because they breath with their roots. Also orchid pots are usually transparent because they have chloroplast in they roots (needed for photosynthesis as in leaves). Best don’t keep them in a dark pot, instead the roots should get light as well :)
If you decide to chop up your albo, you should try the air layering propagation method where you pack soil/sphagnum on the node then wrap it up so it’ll root before you cut it from the mama! And you could do a some kind of time lapse video and show us progress every few days. It would be really cool to watch ❤️❤️
My Phil-Brasil is the same way. I can’t find two leaves on it that look the same. It even has some leaves that are elongated which is cool. Letting go of trying to have everything perfect within my plant collection has definitely been something I’ve been learning to practice more. So I appreciate what you shared about your wax ivy.
Honestly it’s crazy that you actually feel guilty or bad about making videos like this, by far these are my favorite. It feels like we get to hang out with you and see your thought process when it comes to your plants in real time and get sneak peeks into what you might wanna do next as you think of it out loud. Videos like this are also fun because we never know what plant we will see or get an update on. Seriously love it, keep it up!
I love showing my husband all the new growth on my plants and telling him about them and he always acts interested, but I dont think he actually cares😂😂
Doing a full Harli binge and I gotta say, you say your content isn't quality. It is. The thing is, your personality is also quality. That is what makes me watch you.
You are a breath of fresh air. When we hear Cai in the background, what's he doing? He's so vocal. I love it. For the longest time I thought I had a monstera deliciosa. Nope. Watched you and discovered it's actually a Split-Leaf Philodendron! It's so beautiful. Have you ever grown avocado, mango, lemons, etc.? I am and they're doing beautifully. It's so exciting to be part of the very beginning of a plant's life. See you again soon. 🌵🌷
Harli you have been doubting yourself so much lately, I LOVED this video style, I feel like I learn a lot from these casual style of videos. Keep it up!
I have a 4 ft tall golden pothos with huge leaves and I love to show it off to everyone who comes in my house!! That and my big monstera or any of the plants I've grown from propagations! Love these chatty videos!
First of all I love these types of videos from you! It feels very real and easy going and I just love seeing what you are doing with all your plants! I also like these longer plant vlogs. I like getting ideas from you on how to do things. I’m trying to rehab a Hoya curtisii and I’m doing it in sphagnum moss in one of those plastic drip trays you recommended for bottom watering plants! I covered it with Saran Wrap and have it under a grow light and I have my fingers crossed it will work. I left some stems together and others I cut up like you did your string of hearts. So thanks again for giving us plant inspiration and ideas of how to save them 🥰
I propogate in my south facing window, I use dark glass beer bottles. I started using a product called reptisafe, which makes water safe for my leopard geckos to drink. Now I use that for all my plant waterings, and my water propogations. It's nice because I don't need to use distilled water and can save plastic. Loved your video :) my plant tour has to include my huge adansonii, I'm so proud of my 2 brasil plants, and my marimo moss ball is super cute!
Harli, try watering that ficus in its place! They will drop leaves if you just pick it up and move it. Sooo sensitive! Your son is adorable. When he heard 'hippo teeth' his expression was like, 'wait, what!?'. So funny.
I am SO excited you and PlantMeAshley are getting into orchids! I did my plant journey backwards, I had 56 orchids before quarantine and just recently got into succulents and then tropical houseplants. The orchid world is HUGE, there are so many genus/species/hybrids to choose from to fit your growing style. And Miss Orchid Girl is amazing, she is ahead of the curve on so many planty things💕 Enjoy the journey!
I loved this video, every plant has a story doesn't it. I have 200+ house plants and I used to get so stressed out when a plant got spider mites, or mealy bugs, or any kind of pest. Keeping track of when I last treated them and the number of times I treated them was so difficult to remember. I recently made a Google Calendar just for that purpose, and now I don't stress about my plants at all, I can just enjoy them. Just a little tip that may help someone else. Oh, and even though I have had plants for years, I couldn't survive without my water meter.
That is a great idea. I've never been able to keep up with a traditional plant/garden journal but keeping an online calendar seems very do-able to me. I'm going to set one up to document new plant purchases, propagations, pest tratments, as well as pertinent information about my outside garden. Thanks for sharing!
I love the randomness of this video. It was like hanging with a planty friend. My Ficus triangularis was a grocery store find. She was salty when I brought her home but I gave her a corner with a grow light and now she has pulled herself together.
Really needed that pep talk on a day when I'm desperately trying to save my once-glorious maranta after one overwatering made everything go terribly, terribly wrong. :'(
Hi Harli, Maybe I'm late commenting on this video. I like watching things over so I get to see the plants in the background and whatever. I just wanted to say thank you. I'm a mom of 2 with a full time job so I'm so in awe of how you're doing the entire YT thing with all those plants and a baby with pets and a husband all at the same time. I work from home too so I get how hard it can be to work while you've got kiddos in the background. Mine are a 12 & 8 so they're self sufficient and it helps but again, you're a super mom! Anyway, just wanted to say I appreciate the content you release whenever you release it. :) So much love to you and your family!
Hi Harli - that begonia is a purple curl - love them. My brazil is putting out the pink leaves too!!! love it and it is growing so big and fast thanks to you and fish emulsion
Your puppy is too cute. This video is like two girlfriends having a cup of coffee while you share your beautiful plants. If you decide to share the monstera it will still continue to grow. I think it’s beautiful.
The plants I’m always showing or talking about with people when they come over are my Rex Begonias, Cebu Blues, Micans, and my Hoyas (who am I kidding - I show off all my plant babies to anyone who will listen 😂)
autumn.m. rich ...My locale Walmart had a beautiful, full, cebu blue in a hanging basket and I am still kicking myself in the ass for not getting it! I picked it up, commented on how gorgeous it was AND THEN PUT IT BACK! Ahhhhh! Whhhhhy!?
I got a very sick Orchid (my second orchid) from Lowes that lost all but one of its leaves and all its roots but now it has 4-5 roots and a new leaf growing. For so long I was certain it would die but I kept at it. Keep watching Danny, she is where I got all my info from.
When you use perlite are you adding some water in it? That seems like a dumb question but I’m interested in trying this method because my things rot so much in spagnum
Humming birds love the Hoya blooms. So if it drips too much put it outside in spring and summer. Then you get to enjoy all the hummingbird flying around and help feed them.
I loved the walk around plant tour! Like hanging out with a friend!🌿 I watched the whole thing while drinking some coffee, watering all of mine, checking on my propagations... Mentally deciding if I want to go to the plant shops around 😇.
As being a houseplant guru for so long....... how about you Skype/zoom/FaceTime other house plant collectors and give advice and commentary!!!!! It hasn’t been done in the plant community yet!!!!! 😘😘😘😘😘
My latest prop habit is to put them in my fish tank for a few weeks until they form roots. Then i move them to clean water and change it once a week. Potting them up I use small pots and a prop bin like yours and keep them damp for quite a while. I love to see all your plants and how you care for them!
Everybody loves you, Harli! Have total confidence in your decisions. Even if someone is wacky enough to not share your thoughts, they'll respect your courage! You're beautiful! Don't ever change! :-)
I really like to water propagate! I have goldfish so it's nice to use their tank water and it's worked super well for me!:) I usually change out the water once a week. ps. I keep a notepad nearby every time you post a new video so I can jot down all of the plants I fall in love with.
I love my Neon Pothos! I made so many propagations from it. The more I cut it the more it grows, the only problem I am noticing is that some of it is starting to turn more green than neon. I hope it doesn’t completely turn green and I don’t know why it’s doing that. It’s in the same spot it’s been in for a year already and it gets enough indirect sun ☀️ from the window. It’s gotten so full, I love it!
Did you strain your neck while putting up the white shelves? That really sucks, feel better soon. I'm not a plant collector and I don't have enough sun in my home even if I wanted to, so seeing all these plants in your home is amazing. I think philodendron brazil are my faaaaav. 💚💛💚
I have learned so much from you. I personally like this content, relaxed and casual but informative. I can do laundry, clean, cook, and take care of my plants and feel like I am hanging out while doing it all. 🤗

My very favorite plant of yours is the one with the big blue eyes!!!!! 🥰😘
I love this content!!! I just bought a philodendron Brazil and I can’t wait for it to look like yours!!
pleeeease make more videos like this! i love random houseplant tour/ chore vlog/ chats, they’re the best!!
I have been getting overwhelmed with how many plants I have and I don’t have nearly as many as you. 😄 I need to pot up sooo many rooted cuttings.
So glad you showed the planter chain hooks! I love finding baskets at the thrift!
I really enjoyed this video, thank you! And I was so happy to see your baby boy, he is the cutest 🥰 I hope your neck pain will go away very soon!
Chatty videos that include lots of plants are the best! I loved the updates.
Don’t cut it. You will miss how huge it was. But it’s up to you. Personally I think it looks really good as is.
I found a philodendron brazil at Walmart for 3 dollars yesterday! Also please don't cut your big beautiful monstaira! It's so amazing ! 💛💛💛
I love this type of conversational video. i miss going over and talking to my plant friends and seeing their plant babies. so this helps
I show off my large whale fin sanservia to everyone. It just sprouted a baby and I’m obsessed!!
:) So much love to you and your family!
i’ve been patiently waiting for this update :)
Hi Harli - that begonia is a purple curl - love them. My brazil is putting out the pink leaves too!!! love it and it is growing so big and fast thanks to you and fish emulsion
Your dog was not having it lol. Your family is so cute.
Your puppy is too cute. This video is like two girlfriends having a cup of coffee while you share your beautiful plants. If you decide to share the monstera it will still continue to grow. I think it’s beautiful.
I really love your plant videos as I want to learn more and own more, I love plants and hope to have a collection as big as yours xx
Here for the plant collection, but you’ll never hear me complain about seeing baby Kaiser’s smile 🥰 he’s getting so big, ohmygawd. Precious! 💛
This was such a cute video! I don't have many real life plant friends so it was really fun for me! I love this kind of content ❤️❤️❤️
On the orchids we water them, let them drain and then put back in their pots. They don’t like wet feet. You can do it!! Enjoyed the tour.
That seems like a dumb question but I’m interested in trying this method because my things rot so much in spagnum
shannon carr thank you
Humming birds love the Hoya blooms. So if it drips too much put it outside in spring and summer. Then you get to enjoy all the hummingbird flying around and help feed them.
Give yourself some grace lady! You are doing great!!💜💜
I loved the walk around plant tour! Like hanging out with a friend!🌿 I watched the whole thing while drinking some coffee, watering all of mine, checking on my propagations... Mentally deciding if I want to go to the plant shops around 😇.
your son is the cutest. God bless him.
That Hoya in the hanging basket with the hooks is EVERYTHING ❤
I always tell people how small my plants were when i bought them. 😅
Harli you are like the Bob Ross of plants when you're talking about how it's okay to make mistakes I love it
I’m surprised how fast I’ve accumulated so many plants 😅.
Miss Orchid Girl is my favorite channel for orchid care.
I would show every new leave and would explain why every plant is standing where 😂🙈
Everybody loves you, Harli!
Do the goldfish eat or nibble at the plant roots at all?
@@paratrooperwife I actually just scoop water from their tank into my propagation glasses! I don't keep any live plants in with my fish.
Tiffany Davidson ty for that info!

What is the name of the stuff you put in the water to propagate and grow roots?
@@lch3303 it's called liqui-dirt .💚
@@benevolentbear8738 Thank you! 🙂
do you sell rooted cuttings of Pilea and tried shipping them overseas
Harli, I am trying to contact you about the paid youtube subscription you posted about this past Friday 10/16/2020. I paid and then you canceled it and deleted your announcement video.
Awww your son’s little smile is melting my heart, so precious 🥺
I liked this casual type of video talking about plants. I love plants!
“Ok is a plant video, plant update, not a baby video” we want it to be a baby 👶 video.
I always watch your videos right before bed, my boyfriend started watching them with me and now he actually encourages me to buy plants, so thank you for that!!
