I enjoyed the video. Another TH-cam channel, Kayak Catfish just recently got a side scope and is now getting into the scope. Looks pretty cool you can like you said watch your bait and the fish at the same time . Technology today is amazing.
To everyone that may be interested in the Garmin 73 or 93 UHD, if your patient Bass Pro/Cabela’s usually runs pretty good deals on these units as well. Got my 73sv UHD for a real decent price.
Yeah, it's been a great price lately. 499 at Scheels. I was able to get on the 2018 PA 14 with a jerry-rigged mount using the "lowrance ready" mount underneath. Only about a half inch of the garmin transducer is exposed but still recessed in the transducer cavity. Hopefully that will be fine.
Just looked up the Garmin, and might be getting one for my new 'Yak this Spring. Thanks for all the info, as I've already "built" a lot of things you show on your channel (rod socks, batt. box, etc.). My fishing buddies keep telling me I have TOO many 'Yaks, as it is...! (Might be letting go of a Titan, now!). Haha!
Yea the only thing that sucks about that package is that it has the older transducer that's why there's a sale for those 699 at cabelas and bass pro the new one comes with a gt56 transducer but it's still a steal for the price
Great video TJ, I use Lowrance Elite 7 TI on my 2018 PA14. I like it, but I have to say that Garmin looks nice. Look forward to seeing some on the water footage of it.
TJ is it possible you do a set up video for dummies like me who’s never owned a Garman or any other unit like this? as far as the settings go that you use
I have Garmin as well is great, only problem is Garmin don't make small trolling motors to suit small boats, kayaks etc. If your putting a spot lock motor on would be great to have control from the chartplotter.
Hi there, great content as always! I was trying to find the video with the rod socks that you use. There was a product that you talked about that I could cut the rod sock to a specific length...> Thanks for your help.
Stoked! this was the fish finder I went with and I agree I think this is the best on the market i went with the 73sv just cos i didnt think the 93 would be too big guess not! haha
Does Berleypro make a transducer mount that would work on a Native Titan 10.5 for this unit? I’m in the market to upgrade and this Garmin unit looks great.
hey TJ, Is that the same Berley Pro mount to use with the retractable Guardian on the newer Hobie's..? I cant seem to get a usable transducer for my brand new Lowrance HDS 9... (long story)..! I'm thinking about returning it for the Garmin. I also plan to run Live Scope in the future hopefully. Maybe the price will drop soon... LOL
clean install i seen you had foam blocks inside your hobie did it come with or did you do that yourself. Im looking for some of that to put in my kayak wondered if you knew where to get it.
I have Garmin Echomap UHD 93sv and want to mount it to my PA14 rail. I cannot see the mounting hardware on your video. What is the part number or place to purchase?
I am looking into getting my first pedal kayak, I was wondering about the difference between the mirage drive and the prop pedal drive. Is the pedal action on the mirage drive easier on your body at the end of the day, or is it about the same?
So here’s my opinion. I love the Mirage Drive, hands down it’s better than the peddle drive system. That’s why I have a Hobie PA14 BUT.. I really like the Native Titan 14 footer. The hull is better the layouts great and the over all quality of the boat in better than the Hobie PA. If I could put a mirage drive in a Titan that’s what I’d own. I’ve owned both styles tho and the mirage drive alone sells me on the Hobie. 🤙🏼
I've been kayak fishing almost 9yrs now. Always had pro angler 12's. Now the PA12-360 about year n half. I've never own any electronics. I just bought echomap ultra 106sv with transducer for $858 from bass pro sale in combination with using my bass pro club credit card. Killer deal! Also have the steady cast so I can keep a good heading for offshore waypoints. I'll be adding new Lvs34 system before spring sense I saved so much $. What transducer pole/arm did you end up using for the LS, or did u make one? Did you add a sun visor & are they necessary?
I think when you think about it that way then it’s a tough pill to swallow- however, you could say why buy a kayak when it costs more then a boat.. 🤷🏽♂️
Great video. Just ordered my PA 360. Looking forward to catching some fish and making some mods..
Data cables graphic, Lol, nice! Awesome job!
😂
Enjoying watching this trying to think of ideas to do and make with my kids one of which was just born 12/30!!!
Congrats on the newborn brother!
Congrats man!! That’s awesome!
I have the same exact set up on my kayak... You will definitely like it, Thanks again for another great video TJ...
Thanks man! As soon as we get some warmer weather I’m gonna get it on the water and get it setup !
Hmmm...looking for a FF for my yak...might be in the running. Thanks for the review!
Good night-Thanks! you created excellent - 🤩
Good stuff as always TJ!!
love my Garmin 93sv with livescope on my PA
im upgrading to this same unit because I too want livescope on the kayak one day. great video!
I enjoyed the video. Another TH-cam channel, Kayak Catfish just recently got a side scope and is now getting into the scope. Looks pretty cool you can like you said watch your bait and the fish at the same time . Technology today is amazing.
You can also get a screen protector to save on scratches to the touch screen.
Could you update on how the transducer cover has worked out? Would you go the same route again? Tia
Thanks for watching Bobby, so far so good. It works great!
Nice install - really like the bump board setup - need to do that for mine

Got my giveaway box, thanks again. Love the kayak and the unit thinking about getting it on mine.
Awesome!!
🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Awesome stuff dude

I’m interested in the track you have mounted behind the seat that you have your bump board mounted to. Who makes it and where did you get it
That’s my BooneDox landing gear, it has a T track in it. 👍🏼

I'm digging that protective mount for the transducer. Having mine exposed makes me nervous lol
Awesome brother !!

How did you get the heat shrink over the connectors?

I use a soldier iron 🤙🏼
How good does the Side imaging work with the cover over the transducer?
Perfectly 🤙🏼
Do you have the BerleyPro transducer mount part/model number?
amzn.to/3pHVOHY
You have to upgrade the transducer to gt56 the gt54 is ok but nowhere the 56

Not sure , check their site , they might 🤙🏼

Yep , they work great with those Guardians 👍🏼
Hey man! I have a quick question. How did you attach the Garmin base to the railblaza mount? Thx in advance
clean install i seen you had foam blocks inside your hobie did it come with or did you do that yourself. Im looking for some of that to put in my kayak wondered if you knew where to get it.
They come in the Hobies. 👍🏼

I just can’t get by a finder that costs as much as my kayak. Ouch. I’ll just have to get by with my Humminbird 7 DI SI MEGA
I think when you think about it that way then it’s a tough pill to swallow- however, you could say why buy a kayak when it costs more then a boat.. 🤷🏽♂️
LOL, too funny on the board comment. So what you’re saying is, the fish are so big down there that you need two boards together to measure them? Lol
What's the deal with the wavy/flashing of the screen? Does it stop at somepoint?
It’s just yours,
Bad ass
No more fishing I'm done watching
✌🏼
Bass pro is selling it for 499$
Lives ope is not fishing. Damn near makes me unsubscribe
✌🏼
